Synchronization between 2 computers.

I'm going there for a few days, I LR CC installed on my main home computer and also on my laptop. There's a chance that I make a few changes to the photos while I'm away, along the coast view and export to JPEG for download on the internet.

Once I get home is there a way to transfer the catalog from the laptop to my main computer, each photo will be copied in the drive of the laptop as an external hard disk for redundancy. I do not use the cloud because my home internet connection is slower than a snail by pulling a car (we're talking 3-5Mbs download and 0.3 upload) due to living in the South West countries of the United Kingdom - superfast should be here soon but not soon enough that seems.

My main computer is running windows 7 so that the laptop is running windows 8.1. They are both connected to the same home network. I'm not worried about the timing of moving. Chances are I'll take lots of photos - more than 3000 over a period of 3 days using a Nikon D7100 there will be in the 85 GB of images, or more depending on the weather in the region.

Thanks for any input or help that you can provide

You can import as a catlog to combine with your master catalog when you get back. All your editing and metadata will be preserved.

You can even set up a template to use on a regular basis for a location.

  • How to disable the synchronization between different computers of Favorites?

Original title: break the link of the Favorites between computers

Can someone explain how to break the automatic update of my favorites on two computers that I want not linked?  There is no reason to have my office appear favorite on my computer at home, but they have to do, since I shared the same Microsoft account.  I guess I could have created an extra account when I signed up at home - simple then, but it begs the question why we should not have control over this kind of options and burglary in the bond measure.  Can anyone help?

    Hi Mark,

You may have to activate for the synchronization of the Favorites. See the following link, which allows you to disable the synchronization of favourites. You can disable/turn off the Favorites of synchronization.

    Hello knocwans,

Sorry, but ReadyCloud app is designed to allow you to synchronize folders computer device ReadyNAS and not from computer to computer. There is no option on the client where you select as the source computer and another computer as the destination.

  • How to avoid synchronization of the settings between two computers

I have two computers (a desktop computer all-in-one DELL and HP laptop).  Log-in at once is my Microsoft account.

PROBLEM: When I 'customize' screen on one, the same changes are made on the other.   It is not desirable.  How to avoid that, far from making a second Microsoft account?

To clarify - the ICONS are not duplicated, just any changes made to the themes of office such as colors or backgrounds.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello Beckinista,

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft community.

Thank you for your query details.

I also like the fact you want to avoid synchronization of the settings between two computers.

I suggest you stop the synchronization of all of the settings between two computers and check if it helps.

  • Calendar application does not correctly synchronize between computers

For several days, my calendar application (part of Mail, calendar & people) was not properly synchronize between computers.  If I run the application modern calendar on my Dell laptop to update Pro Windows 8.1, at a meeting of current calendar, it seems that I can make entries but after reboot the same computer or on another computer, the entries are lost.

I thought that the answer might be that I need to uninstall and reinstall the app Mail, calendar & people.  But when I do, I meet the download of Windows Store pending problem that never ends and you try to run the troubleshooter Windows Update store still hangs on the re-registration of the Windows store.  None of the fixes suggested in the thread on the subject works for me:

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/windows_8-windows_store/Windows-8-apps-are-pending-and-never-download-from/d859c093-ee94-4581-9bdf-95e35f0c9e0c

I am answering my own question as I've found running a registry cleaner on the affected computer registry errors found especially for Windows Store.  After the repair of the registry, Windows Store downloads work properly and I am unable to reinstall the Mail application, calendar, & people and it now correctly syncs between computers.  The registry cleaner that I happened to use that figure in the Norton Utilities 16 but I guess any other good registry cleaners might work as well.  Utility for troubleshooting Microsoft Windows Update store never work properly and that's it for me.  He would always hang on the re-registration of the Windows store.

Microsoft must make its app Store Windows more reliable than to make a crucial Central application for Windows 8 (the application Mail, calendar & people) more robust and more functional.  I used the software to Microsoft for more than 32 years, but repeated like this with Windows 8 experiences are very encouraging.

  • CC of the bridge the synchronization between computers

    Hi all

Is it possible to sync the settings CC bridge between several computers.

Most applications other CC do, why not with the bridge. This could be very useful for Collections, keywords etc.

Perhaps a solution consisting of Hazel (Yes, I'm on a Mac).

So far, I found nothing satisfying about this topic.

Or is it something that Adobe is coming with very soon?

After the announcement of this question, I was curious to see if I could manage a sort of synchronization with Hazel (noodlesoft.com, only for the Mac).

    And guess what?

    Yes, I did!

At the moment, I can synchronize my file of keywords and Collections of bridge between an iMac and a MacBook Pro through my SIN (but it could also be DropBox or similar).

What I've done (this only applies to people who use or wish to use, Hazel on their Mac (s)):

I created a folder on my NAS called "bridge between the two.

On my Mac (iMac and MBPro), I created a rule in Hazel to synchronize the "Collections" folder and the "Adobe Bridge Keywords.xml" file to the folder on the NAS.

(This folder and files are located in the users/username/Library/Application Support / Adobe / Bridge CC')

Because I do a sync and not a simple copy that crushes everything that carries the same name, the most recent files are copied and crushed.

Then I let Hazel run a script, again on two Macs, so check between the local folder to Adobe Bridge and the folder on the NAS to see if anything on the NAS is more recent than on the local folder of Adobe Bridge.

If so, these files are copied from the NAS in the local folder of existing files or Adobe Bridge, crushing everything.

It's this simple dish, and it works for me because I have all of the Mac upward in exactly in the same way. It is important for the Collections of synchronization.

The Collections in Bridge are simple XML (for example collection.filelist) files where the bridge stores the name and path of a file in the collection.

In my case, this means that any file in a collection has the same path on Mac, as long as this file is located on a share of SIN or inside my (local) working folder everyday, that's synced between my Mac thanks to a very useful NAS utility.

If you need to manage with Mac that are not set up exactly the same (username, folder locations and names etc.), you need to modify the Collections file to match it.

And because these are files XML, a simple "search & replace" might do the trick.

    Bottom Line:

The synchronization works for me because of two identical configured Macs. If this isn't the case, then the timing of Collections can be very difficult and time consuming (change the paths).

Synchronization of key words or even a workspace of the bridge should be no problem, because there is no path or what that stored in these files.

I hope someone benefits form my conclusions.

  • Content of mail to sync between two computers

Is it possible to synchronize the content of mail between two computers [iPhone, if possible]? Computers currently send and receive the same two e-mail accounts [not an account of @iCloud.com]. But if I receive an email, reply or remove it on a single computer, it is always also a new email unread on the other. It's a possibility, perhaps with a disc of individual cloud?

Late 2008 MacBook Pro. El Capitan 10.11.3

    Mac Mini; El Capitan 10.11.6

    iPhone 6; IOS 9.3.5

Thanks in advance for any help.

Only IMAP e-mail accounts sync on devices. That's how to operate these services - nothing else is required to achieve this.

If your email is responsible for no synchronization across all computers and devices, you must have type accounts pop connect you to these accounts via a web browser and look at your options and account services. POP is such an old system these days there is almost nobody left that enemies do not switch to IMAP.

If all this is confusing, call your email providers and ask them to make the change on their end, then ask the information you will need to enter on your computers and your iDevices.

  • Is it possible to install Thunderbird on my desktop and laptops and continue synchronization between this pc?

The two pc uses Windows 8.1. What I seek is to always have the same information on two PCs: emails, archive, addresbook etc.

    E-mail: use the IMAP protocol.

Address books: use an online address book and synchronize the two (all) your Thunderbirds to it. I use Google Contacts and gContactSync.

Calendars: use an online calendar and synchronize the two (all) your Thunderbirds to it. I use Google Calendar and lightning.

That's my method. Some use a process (which seems incredibly tedious) to exchange the profile between different computers folder.

Some go to this topic by keeping the shared profile Dropbox (or similar), but since several gigabytes can reach a profile fast enough, it can be very slow to download and download.

Shared profile works pretty well if all computers are alike. It wouldn't work for me, because I use a mixture of Linux and Windows, and some additional modules, such as the lightning calendar, must be created for a specific platform. If a Windows compatible Flash will not work on Linux and vice versa.

  • Synchronization between Macs, not Mac and iPad

I want my MacBook Pro and my Mac mini to synchronize my library of photos in Lightroom between them.  I find a lot of information on Mobile with Lightroom, but I am interested in syncing between two computers, not a computer, and an iPad.  Can you advise?  Thanks in advance.

Once the catalog and photos are on the external hard disk, Lightroom will have no trouble. Do not close Lightroom before you remove the external hard drive well. If you were on PC, you would need to make sure that the drive letters are the same for the external drive on both machines, but as you're on a Mac, it does a better job identifying the player.

Right now I have the large outer (a 4 to - G Raid) home of the studio where I do turn the catalog that I use in the studio here at home on my Macbook Air - from the outside of course.

  • Apple Notes or reminders of synchronization between the iPhone and Apple Watch

Notes and reminders of synchronization between Apple devices?

    Hello

Notes does not synchronize with Apple Watch.

There are currently no separate recalls on Apple Watch application, but still, your watch can be used to manage reminders in the reminders on your iPhone app (or other device from Apple that is connected to reminders with your Apple ID):

    • Create new reminders using Siri:
      • For example: Hey Siri, remind me < when > < what >
    • Meet reminders with Snooze, finished or do disappear.

Recently, Apple announced that watch OS 3 - a software update for all models of watch, which is scheduled for release this fall / fall - will include a built-in version of the reminders for Apple Watch app.

  • Text Message shortcuts don't synchronize between my devices using iCloud

It does not sync to my text Message shortcuts between my iOS devices (iPad Air 2 Wi - Fi, iOS 9.3.2 and iPhone 6 s, iOS 9.3.2) and my Mac (OS X El Capitan (10.11.5)).

Already, I turn off and turn on iCloud on all my devices. Also, I try to remove all my shortcuts and add on my Mac. Shortcuts do not appear on other devices.

The only solution I found is to add a shortcuts on each devices.

I really appreciate any help you can provide.

    Hi Virtanas,

I understand that you are having problems with your text message shortcuts don't no synchronization between devices that are connected to iCloud. Have access to usage they are practical so I can understand wanting to ensure that they operate.

I know that you have already tried to extinguish iCloud on all your devices, but I recommend you to try to connect on iCloud on all your devices, and then restart your devices before you sign in. If that is not the case, the next step you can try is to disable your iCloud of Documents and data on your iPhone and then turn it back on. You can do it on your iPhone by going to settings > iCloud > Documents & data. If you have upgraded to iCloud by car then you would rather go to settings > iCloud > iCloud Drive and toggle the iCloud drive function works. You may also do this for your other devices that are connected to iCloud.
