Synthesis of password expiration report

Hi, is there a 11.5.10.2 table or a notice or a concurrent Manager report which will include the user name AND their password expiration interval is set on for the users of the application? "By that I mean when you go into the app to create or define a new user or existing, you can set a password expires in 'x-days' or x-access ' or 'none '. I need a report canned or manual query that will show you what these flags are set in the form of summary for all users of the application. Thanks, gil

Hello

See the table (columns USER_NAME, PASSWORD_LIFESPAN_ACCESSES and PASSWORD_LIFESPAN_DAYS) of the FND_USER.

SQL> SELECT USER_NAME, PASSWORD_LIFESPAN_ACCESSES, PASSWORD_LIFESPAN_DAYS
FROM FND_USER;

Note: 427785.1 - where "Password Expiration" information is saved?

  • If I restore the computer to an earlier date, it will restore my password expired?

I use Vista.  My main account on the computer (private) is also the administrator account.  The password has expired.  I saw a warning a week previously, but not once since and completely forgotten.  I can access the other user account, but not my main account Vista was preinstalled on the computer so I can't reinstall windows.  I thought to restore my computer to an earlier date (for example,), but do not know if that would restore my password expired or not.  Other solutions? Thanks for any help.  And Yes, once I return, I change the setting so that the password does not expire again or by using a password reset disk, all these nice options I foolishly ignored this time.  Thank you.

    Hello

Microsoft prohibits any help given in these Forums for you help bypass or "crack" passwords lost or forgotten.

Here's information from Microsoft, explaining that the policy:

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/Windows_7-security/keeping-passwords-secure-Microsoft-policy-on/39f56ef0-5d68-41AD-9daa-6e6019c25d37

    And this is the Information from Microsoft on the problems of passwords;

You will need to borrow a Microsoft DVD from a friend, Recovery DVD a manufacturer without these special work options available.

If you are unable to connect to Windows 7 or Windows Vista, you can use the Windows Vista System Restore feature, or the Windows 7 system restore feature.

You may be unable to connect to Windows Vista or Windows 7 in the following scenarios:

    • Scenario 1: You recently set a new password for the protected administrator account. However, you don't remember the password.
    • Scenario 2: You type the correct password. However, Windows Vista or Windows 7 does not accept the password because the system is damaged.
    • Scenario 3: You delete a protected administrator account. Now, you cannot connect to another administrator account.
    • Scenario 4: You change an administrator account protected with a standard user account. Now, you cannot connect to another administrator account.

    @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

    You can re - install.

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them to the proper key sequence.

    See you soon.

Password expiration is usually the policy setting of group or joined to a Windows domain, nor of what Vista Home Premium is capable of.  There is an equivalent registry setting, but before jumping into changing manually the registry when this start happening?  Are you forced to change every 42 days (or another specific time period)? • Domain Password Expiration Notice

    From: Paul S

Vista offers the same capacity as XP, when the domain user password is going to expire?  What I noticed is the balloon popup but no popup window indicating the password will expire in x days and asking the user if they want to change.  I left my password expire, then after that my machine locked due to inactivitΘ I could no longer log without changing my password on the first domain controller.  XP would give you the option to change your password if it had expired in this way.  The laptop I use has a reader of fingerprints and initially, I had a hard time get the Ctrl Alt Del screen to show up because I believe that the fingerprint software has been the substitution of the Vista login screen.  Could it be causing a problem?  I use VIsta Ultimate, but I guess that this feature would be identical to Vista Business.  Thank you.

    From: DevilsPGD

Vista uses a popup balloon rather than interrupt the opening of session before the expiry of the password.  Take care of the ball and change your password.

    > I left my password expire, then once my machine locked due to inactivitΘ I could no longer log > without changing my password on the first domain controller.  XP would give you the option to change your password > if he had expired in this way.

Vista does too, once a password has expired.  However, if the computer is locked and you are the active user, you may need to hit "Switch User" and then try to connect again - I'm not 100% sure on this subject, this effect can be caused by fingerprints reader software. Make sure that you are on the latest version, the software that came with mine was in trouble in the first two releases, although you might work around most of the problems using the "Change user" button, then manually enter a password if necessary.

  • BlackBerry Smartphone password expire in? days

    Hi gurus

I recently acquired a Bold 9700 and have set up a password for the device, but now I am regularly told that my password expire in so many days. I tried to find where to change this setting, but in vain.

Can someone tell me where I should be looking?

    Thank you

    Hello

Want to know where to change the password itself? Or where to change the password expiration (days) setting?

    For the password itself, see:

    • Article ID: KB00588 Security password for the BlackBerry smartphone

However, for the time-out setting, it's something completely different and not really controllable by the end user. So, first question... are you part of a BES environment? If so, then check with your BES admins they control it.

If you are not part of BES, then check this, you can:

    • Article ID: KB30076 How to check for an it on a BlackBerry smartphone policy

If there is an IT strategy and that you are not part of BES, so that that you got the device does not correctly clean up everything first. Reference:

    • Article ID: KB05099 Steps to take before selling or after the purchase of a used BlackBerry smartphone

If all the other steps necessary for the seller are completed, you can delete it strategy through this procedure:

    • Article ID: KB31291 How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone to factory using BlackBerry Desktop Software Settings

If, in this context, you choose to do a backup/restore, and then not to do a full restore of your device that you saved before the ResetToFactory. On the contrary, do only a selective restore and specifically avoid restore databases that have to do with THIS, policy, business, or something else of that nature. If you restore those, he will dutifully restore it on the device policy, and you will be right back where you started.

Good luck and let us know!

  • ACS 5.1 user password expire does not work

Hi, I set up under policies of Administration password on the password length, the elements being rolled as number, letters and so on.

on the second tab is the password expire for users, and I configured to expire after 90 days.

I even tried to create a new user and change a password for a user existing Apache TOMCAT WAR

I checked the GBA unit's CLOCK and NTP high on our internal NTP servers

Likewise, I create a new user or change the password of Admin user interface, or I change the password for the user via Apache TOMCAT WAR, I the user being disabled in a few minutes, half an hour.

Last, with CISCO AnyConnect is possible to warn the user about the password is expireing and if yes, change could be led through AnyConnect or that it is absolutely necessary a hand of the user task on the portal from Apache TOMCAT upward with the application of GBA WAR?

Last last, I can't disable the logon on the ASA 5510 8.3 IOS AVOIDING user to connect through the AnyConnect application download (on the portal of the ASA)?. This is to avoid people to connect from Internet Cafe' and other facilities puglic not having the AnyConnect application installed from a USB device or local DISK?

I think you hit a known issue with ACS 5.1:

CSCtf06311: all internal users automatically disabled after you be connected to a single user

This is fixed in a hotfix for ACS 5.1.  Hotfix Rollup 5.1.0.44.3 which can be downloaded from CCO

If you decide to download a version of patch, it may be useful to take the latest cumulative hotfix for ACS 5.1: 5.1.0.44.6

  • removal of the password expiration in windows 7 Home premium?

in google search the answer seems to be on command prompt run as administrator hit command net accounts maxpwage: unlimited, but the problem is that it does not say the command has run successfully, instead, I get a bunch of say syntax

    NET {accts/computer/continue/group files/help/helpmsg/local/group/break/and session

How can I fix this so I can finish the command successfully prevent my password expired. I know I can't fix through local user groups (not in windows 7 Home premium and not through the uac...)     I: have a step by step ordering process because I'm not a programmer and I am a user of intermediate consumption.  Thank you!!

    Redford:

You may have always given up this password expires the thing, but I followed your posts at the end and I wanted to let you know that I just got to work! I don't have to do anything really to my computer, I just worked in the command prompt. And that's simply because of the headaches that you've been through a couple of years.

If you, or anyone else for that matter, is need for all stages of simplified then voila:

I am under my user account with administrator privaleges. I am running Windows normally. Windows told me that my password is going to expire tomorrow.

    1) click Start menu

    2) command prompt type

    (3) right click on command prompt

    (4) select run as administrator

    (5) type the following text exactly net /maxpwage accounts: unlimited

(so if someone told you that by phone (so read aloud and it's logical) it would be net accounts [space bar] [space bar] oblique (the one with the question mark key) maxpwage colon unlimited, no space after the slash)

    6) press [Enter]

    (7) you will receive a notice that says that the command completed successfully.

I just thought that you, Redford, perhaps for another attempt after a couple of years. And, if I am incorrect, it is now listed on all together for someone else to use with the knowledge that he managed to fool the computer, me.

For anyone else reading this, not Redford, when you work with the command prompt, you must type it exactly. That's why #5, brackets, I typed out as one addressed to you, something someone used, the other on me and it worked. If you get something other than the result stated in #7 make sure you typed it exactly.

Good luck! Yet once again, it worked for me.

    Sincerely,

    LadyOfSimplicity

    Thank you

Did you run the command "change profile" AFTER the password has expired? In this case, it will not affect the password already expired, but made sure that won't happen again. You must reset the password in this case.

However, it is not a good idea to change the DEFAULT profile. Instead, create a new profile as APP_UNLIMITED with appropriate limits and assign the user to the application.

  • Where information on the complexity of password expiration frequency, timeout settings, etc.?

My audit people are looking for answers to these questions about creative cloud products (we have Acrobat Pro DC and all Apps):

    (1) Composition of password requirements

    (2) frequency of Expiration

    (3) response to the attempts of unauthorized access

    (4) the system timeout settings

    (5) access restrictions (Time-of-day) (day of week)

I spent a few hours trying to locate this information without result.

Can someone at Adobe please provide answers for these questions above?

We need as soon as POSSIBLE.

    Thank you!

Composition of the password requirements are visible from the account settings under change password.

The password expires after 24 hours when connected to a Web site. The password does not expire when the desktop application creative Cloud (what you use to install desktop applications Adobe) has signed, but a license check is required every 90 days for an annual subscription and every 30 days is one month subscription.

Any unauthorized attempt is more complex. If a person has forgotten his password there is a password change process. Repeated attempts to sign will trigger a dialog box asking you to contact Customer Support.

Not sure what you mean by system time-out settings. I mentioned earlier how the Web site and desktop application Cloud creative work.

    There is no access restrictions.

    Update:

If you are going to create an Adobe ID and click in the password field, you can see a short list of password requirements.

  • Check if the password expires for an AD user

I need help to verify if the password will expire for a user of AD via Orchestrator.

    Passwords expire every 90 days.

I found the code to show me where the password was last set, but is not readable.

    pwdLastSet = user.getAttribute("pwdLastSet");
    System.log("Password last set: " + pwdLastSet);

    Output:

    [10:23:46.208 2015-01-15] [I] the last game of password: 130657846662968750

I found this on the pwdLastSet value: the value is stored as a large integer that represents the number of 100 nanoseconds since January 1, 1601 (UTC) intervals

    @andrewsardinha

No such thing as native .net or PowerShell integration in workflows, you will need to run it on a remote machine of the PS that is not elegant.

But you're right about the time windows (I was not aware MS has also had a custom time period). Details can be found here where TI know pwdLastSet is also one of the fields used with windows time.

    @jonathanvh

Looks like you need to do the conversion yourself then. No generation function in JS basis I would like to know for windows-era. Without looking in it, in detail, it seems to be pretty easy by looking at this example in C.

Basically, all you need to do to convert time UNIX WINDOWS-time is as follows:

    unixtime = (wintime - 116444736000000000) / 100000

Then just use something like this to get your object date in javascript:

var pwdate = new Date (Math.round (unixtime))

  • create a new user with password expire - problem SQL Developer

    Hi people,

I use RDBMS 11.2.x on Solaris and Linux, and in the face of a problem that I hope someone can help me with.

Our policy is to create a new account with a temporary password and force them to reset the password at the first login.

    Therefore, I use: "create user < username > identified by < user > password expire...» »

The problem is that many users use Oracle SQL Developer and do not have access to SQL * more.

When I user logs in the database for the first time in SQL Developer, he just tells them that the account is locked.

It does not say the password is expired, and it does not give them a way to change this (that I can find it).

I'm not familiar with SQL Developer and hoped for someone who has had a similar problem can offer some suggestions.

    Thank you.

  • Force password expire on creation

Team, I make sure that every time that a user is created, the password expires option is called, even if the creator did not specify the option how dow I do?

You did an attempt - the postal code.  Tell us what has not worked.  You get an error?  If so, what is the error?

My guess is that you can write a DDL trigger that has submitted a job using DBMS_JOB expired password of the user.  It would be very ugly from code, both from an architectural perspective.  But it seems to work.

Agree with Hemant response, however, it seems much better to focus on preventing the error rather than mitigate them there.  Create a stored procedure, for example, creates a user and impements whatever requirements you have and to revoke the ability of one who is currently making the mistake to execute a CREATE USER statement directly.  It is almost always more easy to prevent a problem from the start is to try to fix on the rear.
