A low CMOS battery can sometimes various issues, including slow, locking unexplained performance issues as well as others.

It is quite rare, but the battery is relatively easy to replace, check the manual of your computer/motherboard for replacement details.

Generally, the battery is a watch battery "CR2032", about the size of a nickel.

Windows 7 has ceased to update

    Hello

I realize has the inconvenience that you are experiencing with the download of the Windows updates. I will certainly help you to question.

I would like to know some information:

    1. Using any software antivirus and security of others on your device?

    2. You receive an error message when checking for Windows updates?

    3. You did changes to the hardware/software before this problem?

    4. You use a wired connection or wireless?

Also, I suggest you follow the steps mentioned below:

    Method 1:

See the link below and check if it helps:

Windows Update crashes when installing updates in Windows 8, Windows 7, or Windows Vista

Important note: When you use system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, the programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

    Method 2:

If you use a third-party security software, try to disable the third-party security software and check. Disable third-party security software.

a: you should see an icon for your Antivirus program in the taskbar notification area. It is usually at the bottom right of your desktop.

    b. click the third-party security software, you will see a pop up.

    (c) in this pop and select the option to disable, click on it.

    d. now third-party security software will be disabled.

Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished.  If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attack.

    Hope this information helps.

Thank you to provide us with the information to look for more on this subject and to better understand the issue and we will be happy to offer our help.

    Thank you.

Download and run to create a boot CD of Memtest86 + http://www.memtest.org/ . This will check your RAM by starting on the CD and running many trials.

If you have more than one piece of RAM installed, delete all except one and see if it boots then. If this is not the case, replace that one with another and try again.

  • Microsoft Management Console error: this function is not supported on this system. Also noticed that the automatic updates did not install it and returned error 80070005.

Original title: Microsoft Management Console this feature only is not supported on this system

I am running Vista 32 bit Business since an administrator account.

Recently, I noticed that the automatic updates did not install it and returned error 80070005.   After investigation, I found that I could not open mmc at all and always get the message "this function no is not supported on this system.  No major changes have been made to the configuration to trigger it and I can't watch the event log because it is in the MMC.
I have studied this question in line and tool the following actions, which none worked:
carried out a complete antivirus scan (I use Commodo internet security)
    created another account administrator
    has run SFC (no problem)
has run the registry cleaner (no problem)
has run msconfig.exe and disabled all the startup process
updated windows right click and run as administrator
Started in safe mode and tried all above
After that, I don't know where to go... it doesn't seem to be a download for Windows vista to reinstall mmc.
I have about 50 updates critical, sitting in my windows update that can not install because of this problem.  Can anyone help?
    Jeff

    Hello Helpmehelpme,

First, I would check since it is professional Vista was that computer on a field of work or it was already on an area of work? There may be group policies that are in place that prevent to run MMC.

When did start to happening? Is there anything new on the system which has been introduced into the environment (software, hardware)?

    Hello

I have been using Acrobat DC trial for maybe a week and a half. I tried to make a pdf to expire, so I changed my system clock. When I opened Acrobat DC again, it said my trial was expired! Is it possible to recover my trial? Have not yet seen a lot of what can do DC Acrobat. Thank you.

No.. A clock change cause the trial to end.

  • System clock is constantly inaccurate - Satellite Pro U400

    Salaam :-)

My laptop computer system clock is constantly inaccurate. I have windows 7 on h-Satellite Pro U400 - 13. Whenever I have look at the clock on the taskbar left I see it well before the correct time. I have this laptop for about 18 months, it points to a dead battery, leading to a CMOS failure?

    Selam aleykum,

Your laptop is still new and the cmos battery should not be dead. I recommend:

1 leave the laptop charge 48 hours the full cmos battery.
    2. If your system has an always on broadband connection, you can automate the process by changing the interval between updates.
Open the registry editor by choosing Start-> Run-> Regedit
Find the key to register HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\
    Services\W32Time\TimeProviders\NtpClient
Select the entry for SpecialPollInterval, and change the decimal value to a time you want to use. The data value is in seconds, so, for example, 172800 value will change the synchronization for 2 days interval, a value of 86400 to happen in 1 day or a value of 3600 will change in an hour.
Exit the registry editor and make sure sync automatically checked for your system clock settings. (Make sure you use Apply when you ve times your changes to the area to set the system clock time, so the change is permanent.)

    http://img821.imageshack.us/img821/8924/registrytwaek.jpg

I placed my printscreen registry where enter 3600 (this means that each time your system clock will synchronize with the time server, but you always connected to the Internet)
