• Tab spacing w / Leader Dots - QUESTION

  So, I use Illustrator and Adobe in general for YEARS programs and this is news to me...  I set up a list of their 'units' AKA the quantity and ingredients in the formula for a product label that I work on.

  

  As soon as I start to add the points of the leader to the columns the 1st column is very good (see the 1st Screen Shot) but as soon as I put points into the columns of 2nd and 3rd it line up more (see 2nd Screen Shot)!

  

  I tried to settle my tab (larger and smaller) widths, I checked my text contains the tabs appropriate spacing for justification and right and all I can think about.  When I bring it in InDesign, it's very well... that is the most confusing part for this.  Someone else encountered this?

  Thank you I want more often that we got from the example on the forums as much easier to troubleshoot files.

  Illustrator is not perfect with the points of the leader, but works better if you replace it a point text object by 3 containors of text in box. To change the horizontal scale to 94% on the 3rd column if as an Illustrator was struggling with low disk space to figure out the points leader (looks better typographically with 2 points rather than in my opinion)

  FYI: Gotham by Hoefler and is full of technical problems. They will not admit questions and probably take it in their graves. Unless you have the latest version of Gotham, you get everything crashes on scrambled or missing characters in PDF with warning on missing fonts if the pdf file seems good. If you still have your receipt when you bought Gotham, make sure you contact them and ask for a free upgrade and replace all the old versions.

  To reduce the spacing between the menu items, you must select the menu then go to the tab spacing beside the widget library and change the space gutter as shown in the picture.

  What is the best way to create alignment of points leader? I want to create the following:

  

  I created this by typing the material on the left, then the right material, and then return to tapping period tab, tab period, period of the tab, as needed to fill the space between the two.   You can even select just the tab and increase your follow up to 600 for the effect of spaced points of leader. (Period and word used as the Fill tab space)

  Short answer is you can't.

  Long answer is see short answer and tabs are not the 'spaces' are they for the distances measured. Modern operating systems use proportional fonts and aw is much broader than one I, while a mono spaced fonts such that IBM Courier uses the same space for both.

  I'm about to remove Firefox from my computer because he lost hours of my time, and none of the online troubleshooting answers are no help.

  Until recently, I was able to open PDF files in my browser window, and today its impossible to open any pdf file, it will not download if I choose to download it.

  This issue is ongoing, and shut down for almost a year and I downloaded the Nitro PDF module to solve previously as Adobe reader add-on did nothing. Today in the menu options of applications where I can choose the program I want to open PDF files with I can't find the option NitroPDF reader, so I chose the add-on Adobe and no matter how many restarts it refuses to open all PDFs, all I get is a new tab open and empty.

  Internet Explore opens PDFs very well, so I know it's not computer associate.

  I'm running Windows Vista Ultimate, Firefox Version 19.0.

  If there is a way to fix this, please help because I am currently at the end of my patience.

  19 FF has its own Viewer for pdf files. It doesn't seem to work properly. The screens are either poor quality or empty. Printing using the bad characters and spacing of bad character. Some impressions of color and others are not.

   Thankfully, it is easy to revert to using some other pdf viewer, such as Foxit. Go to Tools / Options / Applications and scroll down to "Portable Document Formay (PDF)", and change it to your preferred pdf viewer.
   Your problem is solved!

  Select the button layout on the toolbar if you do not have a sign showing to the right of your document text Format.   Press Ctrl + A to select your entire file, and then click the paragraph Options (the button at the bottom right in the paragraph on the Home tab group).  Uncheck "Add 10pt space after paragraphs."

  To create new documents this setting is already selected, follow these steps:
  1 - Create a new empty file, then follow the steps above to disable the spacing option.
  2 - save the file in the folder C:\Windows\ShellNew with a file name as "new WordPad file.
  3 - follow the steps on this support page to create a link from the context menu to create a new file based on this template: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/140333
  4. whenever you want to create a file with this option already set, just right-click on your desktop or in a folder and choose New > WordPad file.

  Hi Tam,

  Writing a manuscript is identical to any work published, the extra space is required between the 'lines' no letters.

  You don't say which application processing, you use to type your manuscript in. If you use Microsoft Word then, Yes, there is a button that will double space your lines for you.

  If you use Word 2007 I suggest you open your manuscript, and then press CTRL + A (that is, hold CTRL on your keyboard down and press A. This will select 'all' your text. Then go to the Ribbon of the toolbar (make sure that the Home tab is selected) and click the button that has lines on it and one up and down (this is located next to the button text justification and the trainer of paint (paint can)). Click on it and select 2.0 your lines will be double spaced throughout your manuscript now.

  If you use Word 97 or 2003, then you will find the key to line spacing on the formatting toolbar (it is the one with the police, the font size, bold, italic, thereon). Once again, the button is right next to the Justification button. The procedure of double spacing is the same as Word 2007.

  Auto update yesterday downloaded IE8, Suite Office 2007 SP2 and .NET Framework 3.5 SP1/.NET Framework 3.5 Family update. Everything worked fine until I installed the automatic update download.

  It updates, I have no way to know the man who, since they all updated and installed at the same time, changed the size of my desktop icons and icon text when restarting. I changed the DPI for a size I love for desktop icons and icon text and can see and read their good now, but the spacing of the grid is too big. In addition, he mixed up the locations of my icons, but I moved them to where I like them. Automatic reorganization is NOT defined. I can change the spacing of the grid by changing the dpi, but then the icons and the text of the icon are too small. Previous versions of Windows, I had had provisions to adjust the spacing of grid icon, separate adjustment icon and text size of the icons, but I can't find a way to be everywhere in Vista except by changing the dpi, which doesn't let me put my office up to the way I like it , like previous versions of Windows.

  In addition, the size of the text in the messages of the forum is now tiny and difficult to read. Change dpi has no effect on the font size in the forum posts, and I can't find anywhere to change the font size in the forum to a readable messages.

  Can someone tell me how adjust the spacing of the grid on my desktop and increase the size fonts in the forum messages without messing things any more than they already are?

  I HATE how MS updates seem to screw my machine every time I download and install.

  Thank you to direct your question to the answers.microsoft.com forum group.

  This problem occurred after an update, we could suggest that you do a restore to a time before the updates, however, of what is described I would be sure that the video card driver has installed the most recent revision.

  It seems that the pilot may have changed to a lower resolution during the update.  This isn't something known to be experienced before, but, this sounds like a symptom, a video driver will expose.

  You can check the resolution of your video driver with a space empty right click on the desktop and select Customize / select display settings - what is color value parameters?  What is placing it above available?  Check the resolution is defined - as you already suggested - is also correct.    Then click the Advanced Settings button and write what the card is listed as.  Click the driver tab and find the date of the driver.  You should navigate to the manufacturer's website and if there is a new driver available for your review of Vista, download and install this driver.

  Using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk).

  If this does not resolve the issue you are having, in order to answer the questions you posted;

  1. If you HOLD THE CTRL key down and at the same time, USE the SCROLL WHEEL of your mouse, you are able to adjust the ICONS on your desktop for a size you choose.

  2. to set the forum text, if you are running Internet Explorer, you can hold down the CTRL key and scroll upward or down with your mouse wheel to get a window of TEXT size / which is best suited for you.

• Police text and spacing in Drop Down Menu is weird

  Hi all

  So, about a week and a half, I formatted my PC because it was slow and usually comes not good results. I want to say I had no problem with Firefox before this and I've never really changed all the settings of Firefox. Maybe a couple on data storage / navigation, but that's all. The only Addons I had never installed were AdBlock Plus, uBlock origin, Badger of privacy and I forgot the name of it, but it was a Flash Player addon from blocking. Still does not issue however.

  In any case, after formatting, I reinstalled everything, Firefox first, and although things went along. However, a few days and I noticed that the text in all of my menus expected offshore. I got a thorough review and noted the police was different and the spacing was weird. Not only that, but I see fewer items in dropdown lists longer. At the time of writing these, my uploaded image still has not been loaded properly, then here is a link to what I mean. http://i.imgur.com/qwodW7Z.PNG (The correct appearance of the text is on the left, while the strange one is on the right).

  I don't know what caused it. I change all the settings at all after reinstalling Firefox. I asked a friend who uses it, and I even went to the Subreddit Firefox for more help, but nothing worked. I checked my display settings and text was 100%, I checked the internet options but the default text has been set to Times New Roman, just as it is in Firefox itself - it's all by default. I have disabled hardware acceleration and who does not, I was told to try the "gfx.content.azure.enabled" parameter 0 (which I guess is 'false'), but I couldn't see that in my remarks: config page, so I added it as boolean. Then I learned to add and try it to 0 and 1, but if nothing works to stay 1 (which I suppose is 'true'). I tried this but still nothing. It has been like this for several days and the problem still persists.

  Here's the weird part, however. I refreshed Firefox troubleshooting information section and after doing this the text goes back to normal (what it looks like on the left side of the image), BUT when I close and open Firefox, the next time, the text went strange in the drop-down menus again. I've deleted and reinstalled Firefox, but it still persists. I deleted all the files and folders in Firefox/Mozilla on my machine, reinstalled and the text are returned to normal... only that he goes bizarre after have closed and reopened Firefox.

  I don't know what the problem is. I even tried to change the font in Firefox, but it did nothing! I tried Internet Explorer, Edge, and even Chrome to see if the problem persists it but it doesn't work. I open it, try the same website in all browsers and I see the text in the fine search. I closed and reopened all of them and the text looks exactly the same. Why is Firefox decides to change this text? This part of a new update? Do I just not the latest version of Firefox before my format? If it IS an update, why the text seems a way when I update, but in a different way when I open Firefox any time thereafter a part?

  This isn't a huge problem, but see the completely fake search text in my drop several times per day slowly that annoys me more each time. It's almost like I'm be mocked because I don't know how to fix it or what is the cause. I don't want to change the browser just for peace of mind, I would never know what was causing the problem if I do this! My machine and my graphics card drivers are all up to date. I don't want to format my PC again just for a little luck, it can solve the problem, especially when there is no guarantee the problem!

  I use Windows 10 and I have the latest version of Firefox, 49.0. Graphics card is a Radeon HD 5770 and I run a 64 bit OS. I don't know why it is a problem. I never had this problem before my format, and I've never had other problems with Firefox, so what gives? Can't get someone else to the problem online at ALL. I'm just crazy, and it's all part of a bet to date, but for some reason any the first time I have updated Firefox it won't load properly, or what?

  Any help would be appreciated. I am all of these ideas, I don't want to format and I don't really like the other browsers except Firefox. Yes, I'm sure I can try to live with it, but it annoys me everytime I see it.

  (Please tell me there is something in my troubleshooting information that resolves this problem).

  QUICK NOTE: Room ONLY, which descend from the menus look quite normal is the page Firefox Options itself.

  You can see someone else? One of the changes in Firefox 48-49 title is e10s, separating the process of browser interface process page content. A few kinks are always discovered and developed, and I wonder if this might be a factor here.

  Are you using e10s?

  You can check if you have this feature enabled as follows. Either:

  • button '3-bar' menu > '? ' button > Troubleshooting Information
  • (menu bar) Help > troubleshooting information
  • type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter

  In the first table on the page, find the line "Multiprocess Windows" and see if the number on the left side of the fraction is greater than zero. If so, you are using e10s.

  If you use e10s:

  To determine if this feature is causing this problem, you can turn off as follows:

  (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press enter/return. Click on the button promising to be careful.

  (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste the cars and make a pause so that the list is filtered

  (3) double-click the preference browser.tabs.remote.autostart.2 to switch the value from true to false

  Note: the exact name of this preference may vary, but it will start by browser.tabs.remote.autostart

  On your next startup of Firefox, it must be run in the traditional way. Any difference?

• Found a solution for Alt Tab does not

  This isn't a question but a solution that took me about a month to find.  Always found Alt Tab to change the programs does not work, and when I flew over the bar at the bottom of the screen, the picture postage stamp of the application would be flashes on once before disappearing.  Sometimes, I could simply not an application open to maximize.

  Usually I use my HP laptop to a workstation, but when using it in another place, noted that the problem had disappeared.  Figured there was something on the workstation.  Tried to return to the job and work through a process of trial and error found was a Logitech USB Skype speaker.  It is a fairly old model - may 2007 - I got as a freebee when I bought a PC.  It does seem like Windows 7.  Disconnected and there is no other problem.
