Tables and table data

Hello-

How is it when I create a node of a table property value and build a table of this node of property value, it gives me an annexed table?

I tried indexing in this table twice for a single row of values, but when I try to compare the 1 index of this row in the table with the

first index value from an array of the same size, the equal sign will not indent the table created index from the table. I see that the

output wire is pink, which means that the value is considered as text... How can I convert that to a number so that I can compare the first value of a line

in a table of the first value of a picture of a line to determine if they are equal? Array index is fed data points from

a graph and once this 1st value of the array index is the first index value of the row in the table, I hope to have the index given in the table

turns green when there is a football game. Thank you.

Hello

I'm not absolutely sure I knew you. Displaying a VI or a screenshot could be useful...

However, attached, you will find a simple VI compare the first value of a table wanted the first value of a table row.

Note that the table data type is string, not digital. No matter if you put numerical values in the table there are always string. A conversion is necessary to compare the values in array of numeric values.

The values in the table are displayed as a 2D array in which the first dimension contains the lines (x).

I hope I could help you with that.

    It is an old method, using the utl_file_dir parameter that is now obsolete and which is frankly a waste of space when external tables can do exactly the same thing much more easily.

  • copy and paste the table data

    Hi all

    I'm trying to convert some WinHelp files old HTMLHelp format. All files have as subjects with the same tables of three columns.

    Part of the done conversion tables look more "pretty", then we have a new scheme of formatting of table together upwards in a model of .htt file.

    It is, I can copy the new table and its formatting in my editor WYSIWYG RoboHelp... but to transfer DATA from the old table, I have to cut and paste data from each cell individually. I can just select the table of old (and its data) "in mass" and paste the data into the new table snazzy. Because the tables have three columns and up to 30 lines, it can become quite painful, cut and paste data from each cell in the corresponding cell in the new table.

    Is it possible to make this process faster? Ideally, I'd like to just reduce the process steps:

    (1) copy a blank version of the table of new, prettier in RoboHelp WYSIWYG.
    (2) cut out of the old table data.
    (3) paste the data into the new table.

    I hope I do my question clearly...

    Thanks in advance!

  • Select the name of the table and some data in the same sql

    If anyone can help with this?

    I need the name of the selection table that have columns called col1 (which could be done with the help of dba_tab_columns) and col1 data itself.

    Here is my desired outcome:

    table_name col1

    alex tab1
    tab2 bob
    .... ....
    Tabn sue

    TIA.

    You can use a cross join, like this...

    SELECT ut.table_name
    x.column_name
    OF some_table_name x
    ut user_tables
    WHERE ut.table_name = upper ('some_table_name');

    or...

    SELECT ut.table_name
    x.column_name
    OF some_table_name x CROSS JOIN user_tables ut
    WHERE ut.table_name = upper ('some_table_name');

    This will work if you have one or more column value returns. Basically, a table name is multiplied by the number of lines found in the table. I hope this helps.

  • Loading XML into the relational Table data

    Hello

    I get a generated XML file to other tools (Windows), I am trying to create a Linux shell script that will gather the necessary XML file to my Linux server, then ask Oracle to use this file to load the XML data into a relational table. This activity and the data will be needed on an ongoing basis.

    I tried two ways. First, I loaded the XML document into the database and tried to extract the data directly from the document, but it does not work. Now I want to try to read the data directly from the file on the server through select, however I don't get all the returned data. In the Select statement below, I am trying to query the data to see what is returned for my tests.

    Create Table ci_results_table (transactionID Varchar2 (100), //transactionID should be PrimaryKey but became errors in test of insert, PK so deleted NULL value)

    message Varchar2 (200),

    This Varchar2 (50).

    XMLType of the ProcessedDate,

    status Varchar2 (50).

    sourceFile VarChar2 (100));

    Select x.*

    from XMLTable)

    ' TSPLoadResults/results '.

    PASSAGE xmltype (bfilename('CMDB_DEVADHOCRESULTS_DIR','LoadResults-HP_146.results.xml'), nls_charset_id ('AL32UTF8'))

    COLUMNS

    transactionID PATH Varchar2 (100) 'TransactionID '.

    Result XMLType PATH 'result ',.

    Message Varchar2 (200) PATH "Message."

    PrimaryKey Varchar2 (50) PATH "PrimaryKey"

    Date of ProcessedDate path "ProcessedDate."

    Status Varchar2 (50) PATH "Status."

    SourceFile VarChar2 (100) PATH "SourceFileName.

    ) x

    ;

    Eventually, I'll have to build on that to limit the returned data to records where SourceFileName is like '% PA' and insert what is returned in to the ci_results_table. Attached is an example of the XML results file I am trying to load, it is named "ResultsTransformedtoUnix" because I used dos2Unix to convert Unix which can be good or bad. (I send the output file must be converted to the format BACK until the other application can read). Original (before converting Unix) file named in the script is also attached.

    Help, please. Thank you!

    Hello

    I see some bad things in your query.

    (1) obvious one, explaining why you get all the data: there is a typing error in the XQuery expression, there 'result' not'slead.

    (2) ProcessedDate can be extracted as a date (at least not directly) because it actually represents a timestamp, use the TIMESTAMP WITH time ZONE HOURS and cast back to DATE data type in the SELECT clause

    (3) transactionID is an attribute, it must be accessible with ' @' (or ' attribute:' axis)

    (4) if the encoding of file really is ISO-8859-1 as suggested in the prologue, then do not use AL32UTF8 but the name of the corresponding character set: WE8ISO8859P1

    Here is the query to work:

    select x.transactionID
         , x.Message
         , x.Primarykey
         , cast(x.ProcessedDate as date) ProcessDate
         , x.Status
         , x.SourceFile
    from XMLTable(
           '/TSPLoadResults/Result'
           PASSING xmltype(bfilename('XML_DIR','LoadResults-HP_146.results.xml'), nls_charset_id('WE8ISO8859P1'))
           COLUMNS
             transactionID Varchar2(100)            PATH '@transactionID',
             Message       Varchar2(200)            PATH 'Message',
             PrimaryKey    Varchar2(50)             PATH 'PrimaryKey',
             ProcessedDate timestamp with time zone PATH 'ProcessedDate',
             Status        Varchar2(50)             PATH 'Status',
             SourceFile    VarChar2(100)            PATH 'SourceFileName'
         ) x
    ;

    Directly on the file using this query will only be decently (for large files) on 11.2.0.4 and beyond.

    On older versions, first load the file into a (temporary) XMLType column with binary XML storage and CHOOSE from there.

    because I used dos2Unix to convert Unix which can be good or bad.

    This conversion should not be necessary.

    Combination dump files

    Files dump populated by different external tables can all be specified in the LOCATION of another external table clause. For example, data from different databases can be unloaded in separate files, and these files can then be included in an external table defined in a data warehouse. This provides an easy way to aggregate data from multiple sources. The only restriction is that the metadata for all external tables is exactly the same. This means that the game characters, time zone, schema name, table name, and column names must match. In addition, the columns must be defined in the same order, and their data types must be identical. This means that after you create the first external table you must remove it so that you can use the same table name for the second outer table. This ensures that the metadata in two dump files is the same and they can be used together to create the external table even.

  • How to load data from matrix report in the base using ODI table data

    Hello

    How to load matrix report data in the base table data using oracle Data Integrator?

    ANALYST                  DEPT20                     6000
    CLERK                       DEPT10                    1300
    CLERK                       DEPT20                    1900

    Thank you for your help in advance. Let me know if any other explanation is needed.

    Your list seems to be a bit restrictive, you can do much more with the procedures of ODI.

    If you create the new procedure and add a step. In the 'source' tab command you define technology and pattern according to your source database. Use the unpivot operator as described in the link, please, instead of using "SELECT *' use the column names and aliases for example:"

    SELECT workstation,
    deptsal as deptsal,
    saldesc as saledesc
    OF pivoted_data
    UNPIVOT)
    deptsal-<-->
    FOR saldesc-<-->
    IN (d10_sal, d20_sal, d30_sal, d40_sal).<-->
    )

    Then in your tab 'command on target' defined technology and drawing on your target db, then put your INSERT statement for example:

    INSERT INTO job_sales
    (employment,
    deptsal,
    saledesc
    )
    VALUES
    (
    : job,.
    : deptsal,.
    : saledesc
    )

    That's why you use bind variables from source to load data into the target.

    Obviously if the source and target table is in the same database, you can have it all in a single statement to the "command on target' as

    INSERT INTO job_sales
    (employment,
    deptsal,
    saledesc
    )
    SELECT workstation,
    deptsal as deptsal,
    saldesc as saledesc
    OF pivoted_data
    UNPIVOT)
    deptsal-<-->
    FOR saldesc-<-->
    IN (d10_sal, d20_sal, d30_sal, d40_sal).<-->
    )

    also assign the log count "Insert" on the tab corresponding to your INSERT statement, so that you know how many rows you insert into the table.

    I hope this helps.

    BUT remember that this feature is out in Oracle 11 g.

    Yes... You can declare a record type in the package body

    TYPE rec_type () IS RENDERING
    NUMBER of col1,
    col2 VARCHAR2 (2 CHAR)
    ....
    );

    then simply declare a type of table top the record type

    TYPE tab_type IS TABLE OF THE rec_type;

    You can make statements within the body to keep it private, or in the spec to make it public

    It could be that useful...

    Hallo!

    I tried to put entries generated in a table with the current value of the time stamp in the first column and the data of a table 1 d of waveforms of 4 cards in the other 4 columns.

    I have some difficulties to match the data in the table. I ve simulated the code I've written and I see that the time stamp but I ve got none of the values of data in my table. I want to ask you what you think of my code and how can I achieve my goal?

    Corresponding VI is attached below.

    Thanks in advance for the answer.

    I think you're looking for it.

  • Open the spreadsheet at the request and add data

    Using a cDAQ 9172 and Labview 8.2, I collect four channels of noisy pressure and temperature data collected during a product test.  The data are shown live on the band on the front panel cards after be smoothed by the average feature of the sample Compression Express vi.  All this works pretty well.

    Data are presented to the test operator so that he can see when the test conditions have stabilized, which usually takes 3 to 5 minutes.  After stabilization, I want to be able to press a button on the front panel so that a spreadsheet is open (ideally, with the original opening time as part of the file name) and a scan of the four data channels are added to the spreadsheet (with a timestamp).  Then, ongoing test for 1 or 2 minutes, I want to again push the button every 10 or 15 seconds or so to add more data analysis, so that we can see later that the conditions had really stabilized.  The exact date and the number of analyses of additional data is not critical, I just want to be able to connect to another 4 to 8 lines of data before you complete the test.

    I have a kind of sort of do this, shown on the seal 'on demand spreadsheet.vi' below.  Noisy signals are shown here numbers just under the random name embedded in a table (which is how my data writing to a spreadsheet file in my actual program).  The problem with this arrangement is that the spreadsheet file is created each time that I start the vi and there are several times during execution of tests and data are not collected for some reason any.  Accordingly, we would end up with a large number of files with no or data without meaning .xls.  I just want to create the worksheet file when I press the button (s) during a successful test after conditions have stabilized.

    I tried a slightly different approach in the joint 'on demand spreadsheet 2.vi' below where I added a switch to toggle to activate a case to open the spreadsheet, and an additional button to save data.  It seems like it should work, but I don't get all the lines of data, only the headers.

    I'm still pretty new to all this and I have spent days trying to figure this out.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

    I don't have 8.2.  You can either save my vi and publish it on the thread Downconvert VI ask, or you could look at just the image:

  • need help with hex and handling data extraction

    Hello

    I have able to transmit hexagonal commands on the serial port of my camera and receive responses in hex him successfully. I was able to confirm this by changing the display format to the spell for the control and the indicator. Now, I want to store the portion of the hexagonal received data and use it in my future orders. Example of received data as below:

    0001 1100 0010 E002 6 93 4D7E 2C4D AA66 F00D

    The red blocks will be incorporated in the next command so that when I sent this command it will look like this:

    F00D 0014 2000 0003 0000 0020 77AF E002 6 93 4D7E 2C4D

    In short, send the command and get response, extract and store data in red blocks, then send different control that contains the data that is stored. Everything is in hexadecimal format. Question is how can I extract/store the bytes wanted to and then rebuild a hex command containing these bytes? Can I convert it to normal string, byte array, or hexagonal table? If we use the latest methods of 2 conversion, I need to ensure that the zeros are not lost.

    I enclose my VI. Please take a look and help to provide a solution.
