tabs at the top of IE and Firefox say untitled document

I use Safari so never noticed this until a customer pointed them. The tabs at the top of IE and Firefox that show previous page say untitled document titles. Where can I give the page a title these browsers are looking for?

> No, don't not using frames. Why do you ask?

Because when you use framesets, no matter what titles for the
pages are this charge in the chassis, if the frameset document.

I just installed FF 5.0 & info page says to change the back legs, go to the Firefox tab at the top of page and click on options. There is no such tag on my page. Also if the guy in the video tutorial on why it is 'better' has spoken clearly and about 50 miles an hour slower, maybe I could understand what he was saying. You have a lot of glitches tight now. The toolbars are still on display in your browser?

If you still have the address bar, right click on any part that is not a text box or the icon, or if you do not like that of any space right click on the three horizontal lines on the right side of the address bar window. This should show some options, click on 'Menu Bar' and the tabs you are missing should appear.

As a side note, usually if these options are missing, your icon of firefox in the upper left corner of the window should look different (being a rectangular button itself as opposed to an icon), and the 'file', 'Edition', 'Bookmarks', etc., are found after clicking on this button.

    Hope that helps.

  • Firefox tabs on the top and the Firefox button not there

I've recently upgraded to Firefox 4 and am very happy with it. Today, however, some parties have disappeared! I do not see the Firefox tabs on top or the dresser orange Firefox Button. Is the new button to reload in the Awesome Bar and when I checked the version, Firefox luckily informed me that I have the last update 4.0 so not sure what is happening. Ideas for help would be appreciated as I really like the new features!

To get the orange Firefox button, you need to hide the menu bar, do a right click on a toolbar and click on the entrance to the "Menu bar" to deselect it. You can temporarily show menus if you need by pressing Alt or F10.

To change the position of the tabs, you can right click on a toolbar and click the entry "Tabs at the top".

  • Tabs at the top of the page option does not appear in the menu when I control-click on a blank section of the tab strip in Firefox MacBook on 15.

I've just updated my Firefox version 15.0 browser on my MacBook. I'm really used to having the tabs under the address bar. However, when I Ctrl-click on a blank section of the band to tabs, there no option "Tabs" at the top on the shortcut menu.

Any suggestion on how to find this option would be appreciated.

That changed in 15 Firefox and is now a hidden preference; the default is for tabs on top to be on. To disable the tabs on top, you use about: config. The instructions are the last item on the next page. I've also included a link on how to use about: config

  • I'm getting the foreign language symbols and overlapping tabs at the top of my screen. Why?

In the last two days, I started to get the foreign language characters randomly at the top of my screen, both the line of tabs and the address bar. At the same time, the tabs at the top overlap and are difficult to discern.
Any ideas why and how to fix? Can send a screenshot of the problem, if it helps.

    Hello

    (1) do you use Internet Explorer to browse the web?

    (2) what version of Internet Explorer is installed on the computer?

If you use Internet Explorer as you web browser, then try the following and see if it helps.

    Method 1:

Use Internet Explorer in no add-on mode and check the status.

    (a) click Start.

    (b) click on all programs.

    (c) click on accessories.

    (d) click on system tools.

    (e) click Internet Explorer (No Add-ons).

If this resolves the problem, follow these steps to isolate the browser add-on that is causing the problem:

    (a) click on tools and then click Internet Options.

    (b) click on the tab programs and then click on Manage Add-ons.

    (c) click an add-on in the name list, and then click on disable.

    (d) repeat step c until you identify the add-on that is causing the problem.

If this is the problem, this could be caused by an adware installed as add-on, see:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/Internet-Explorer-Add-ons-frequently-asked-questions

    Method 2:

    Optimize Internet Explorer.

Note: when you reset Internet Explorer settings, all modules and customizations are disabled, and basically, you start with a new version of Internet Explorer

  • I want to see my tabs at the top all the time. Is there a setting for this?

It seems in my new version of Firefox 40.0.3 that I can't see the tabs at the top at all times. They disappear until I have fly over the top of the screen and they then they reappear. Some of my work requires that I see when the browser tab is over, loading or to update and it is not possible when the tab is not displayed. Is there a setting that I can choose to make the tabs of the browser stay visible at all times? Thanks for all the ideas.

Looks like you committed inadvertently mode full screen.

    Press the F11 key.

  • Activating/Deactivating the TABS on the top of the page switch is no longer working - V29

My Firefox has updated today, and he changed my settings (subject: config) to put the tabs on the top, to the place where they belong, on the bottom. I have switched from true to FALSE, you leave the broweser and came back in. Tabs always at the top. Tried several times; tabs always at the top.

How can I get the tabs to the bottom where they belong (IMHO)? It is difficult to use the browser now my workflow time is increasing because I have to look elsewhere for things, instead of them being where they are supposed to be. I am that FIREFOX would continue to be confirguable...? Is that evolution?

BTW, whenever I posted this on FaceBook, someone at Mozilla removed the posts. not cool.

You can install the extension Classic theme restaurateur to restore some of the features that has been lost with the arrival of Australis.

  • TabGroups Manager use/uninstall deleted view - toolbars - tabs on the top menu.

After using the TabGroups Manager addon for a short period, I decided to remove again. One of the options that it allows him to use tabs on the high function, I was using. He puts his own groups of toolbar in the title bar, but it seems buggy, so I removed it, with tabs on top still operational. I had been using it via the main menu, by using Alt-V-T-T. After you remove TabGroups Manager according to the normal procedure, from the extensions page and restart, I realized that I had tabs on top and went to restore it, but the element is missing from the menu. I don't know any other way to change this, but the biggest concern is that the menu items have been removed at some point. Please could you tell me what may have caused this and how to restore the option.

The status bar is no longer used in current Firefox releases and is replaced by the add-on bar (view > toolbars).

Current versions of Firefox only show the menu entry "Tabs" at the top menu "view > toolbars" and "Firefox > Options ' and in the shortcut menus toolbar if the tabs are not in the default position on the top.

If the notches located on the top and the menu entry is not available and you want to move the tabs under the navigation toolbar, then you have to toggle the pref browser.tabs.onTop false on the subject: config page.
A restart of Firefox is necessary for updating the menu entry to display or remove.

Note that this pref will no longer effect when the code Australis lands on the output channel (which will be in Firefox 29,0).

Some menu entries in the main menu bar are hidden if you are using the mouse and only appear if you use the keyboard to open the menu.

Some entries in the View menu and history have been deleted to clean up the UI, because studies showed that it was low-use items.

On Windows and Linux, these were already hidden when serve you the mouse to enter the bar of menus and only appeared when you used the keyboard.

You can click on the button Home (far-right on the Navigation bar) or the keyboard (Alt/Option + Home).

You can find backward, forward and reload from the context menu in the navigation area or the use of the buttons on the Navigation toolbar.

  • How can I move the tabs at the top of the screen?

I have two computers. Both have Windows 7. Opening of Firefox on a computer, the tabs are at the top of the screen. On the second computer, there is a gap between the tabs and the top of the screen. I would like to have the tabs at the top of the screen on both computers, but cannot find a setting to enable this.

You get only the bar tabs in the title bar, if the screen is maximized (Alt + space > enlarge or click expand).

  • The Task Manager doesn't have the tabs at the top.

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium.

Only, I get the screen to process. I don't have the tabs at the top. I don't see the "Applications", "Processes", 'Perforamce' or 'Network' tab. This has happened just recently. I use to make them. Can anyone help, please.

Here is the response from Windows XP:
Looks like you run the Task Manager using tiny/small footprint.
If you double-click on the empty space around the border of the screen TM will increase from normal mode, and then you should see the tabs you are accustomed to seeing.
