  Thanks for the info. My problem was in fact I've even received not the unicode value correctly. I was short a step to receive unicode value full for this character.

  As you know, the fonts still have the mapping for the code & unicode for each characters. After I am able to navigate to the police for this table, I am able to extract the correct unicode and the same impression.

  There is No text, encoding, as such.

  The text (which seems to be the content of the manual 'PCL5 Comparison Guide' page) has been converted (by your player application and the printer driver) in a raster (bitmap) image.

  The print file generated contains a few sequences initialization, then (as I said) the greater part of the file is an equivalent of PCL-a Windows raster image format (in this case, the selected compression method is TIFF).

• SVG interactivity: compatibility problem of text

  I have an animation using some SVG interacitve. I used the example of a common edge (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4UEB6gaLKuw) and it works well.

  But I have a question about the text encoding:

  I have "spaces" in the text of my layers in the SVG file, but the 'spaces' are replaced by 'underscore' in the animation.

  I guess it's a coding problem, but I have no idea how to solve this problem. Should I look for in the Illustrator's SVG export option? Should I code something in the html file? Is there a solution?

  Here's the code I used to fix some problems with layer names. You can use 1 or 3 depending on what you need, but your question use number 1 and change the last line accordingly.

  Probably a text encoding problem. Add

  reportFile.encoding = 'UTF-8'
  

  somewhere after the definition of your reportFile but before opening it.

• UDP communication with microcontroller

  I need to access a controller for some engines. The controller can be accesed by Ethernet. Unfortunately, I know very little such communications.

  So I worked by the UDP-examples of LabView provides. That helped a lot, however, some questions remain:

  Thank you very much to all those who helped.

  I managed to make it work, writing type of an own port scanner. The controller has been programmed to send a response to every shipment of order, I wrote a UDP server in LabView that would send a command to the controller that he had to answer. In the 'open UDP', I specified the IP address of my computer's ethernet card, which was connected to the microcontroller only via the crossover cable.

  The server sends the command to an unspecified IP (xFFFFFFFF). First of all to channel 1, then 2-port, etc... and waited for a response. In this way, that I have to know the IP address.

  In the end, the Port number is (of course) 1234.
