Text fields and number 0 problem

Hello.

I have very strange problem and I hope someone could help me.

I have the button group to 7 Coachman, named "group". Each box has its own value for export. (- 3, - 2, - 1, 0, 1, 2, 3). Then I have a text field, named "polje" where the selected value is displayed. If the user check the box with the value of exports 3... text field display number 3 and so on. I get this with this script:

getField("polje").value = this.getField("group").value;

So far, everything works perfectly. Now... problem. I have an another textfield, named "procent. Its mission is to show the additional text of specific value.

If the "polje" field indicating the value 1, 'this' textfield should display "30%", if the value is 2 then "60%"...and so forth.» Everything works fine... only with 0... .then textfield stay empty but it should display '0% '. I don't know why.

The script I use:

var p = this.getField("polje").value;

Si (p == « ») {}

Event.Value = "";

}

Else if (p == 0) {}

Event.Value = "(0%)" » ;

}

Else if (p == 1) {}

Event.Value = "(30-40 %)" » ;

}

Else if (p == 2) {}

Event.Value = "(60-70 %)" » ;

}

Else if (p == 3) {}

Event.Value = "(90-100 %)" » ;

}

Else if (p ==-1) {}

Event.Value = "(-30-40 %)" » ;

}

Else if (p ==-2) {}

Event.Value = "(-60-70 %)" » ;

}

Else if (p ==-3) {}

Event.Value = "(-90-100 %)" » ;

}

Where I did something wrong?

You should get the field values as strings and compares them to the strings, something like:

var p = this.getField("polje").valueAsString;

if (p === "") {

Event.Value = "";

}

ElseIf (p = '0') {}

Event.Value = "(0%)" » ;

}

ElseIf (p = '1') {}

Event.Value = "(30-40 %)" » ;

}

ElseIf (p = '2') {}

Event.Value = "(60-70 %)" » ;

}

ElseIf (p = '3') {}

Event.Value = "(90-100 %)" » ;

}

ElseIf (p = '-1') {}

Event.Value = "(-30-40 %)" » ;

}

ElseIf (p = "-2") {}

Event.Value = "(-60-70 %)" » ;

}

ElseIf (p = '-3') {}

Event.Value = "(-90-100 %)" » ;

}

    Hello world

    I have a form with a text field and a button. The text field is called "orderNo" and the button is called "genOrder".

    Initially, the text field is empty, and clicking on the button fills the text with an appropriate order number field.

    I have need to check the text field for the data (content) before you write the order number, in this way, if an order number is already present in the text field, it will be over written.

    My intention is to use an if / else structure to perform the tests, but I do not know how to retrieve the content of the text field (if the content is present!).

    If anyone can suggest how I can go about extracting the contents of a text field and then use it in an if / else statement it will be greatly appreciated.

  • Show on a text field, the number of times click us a Butoon

    Hi there... I did some work... and my teacher told me to do an exercise... but I wonder just for your opinion and help

    Here is that the problem... I managed to create a code to print text as soon as I click the butoon, here it is:

    botao.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, mostrartexto);

    function mostrartexto(event:MouseEvent){
              caixadetexto.text = "Hi there World";
    }

    So the thing is now... that... instead display the text by clicking the botoon I need to click on the butoon and it must indicate the number of times where I clicked on the text field.

    That means... I click it will show me '1' or '1 click', '2' or ' ' clicks... and so on.

    So, if there is someone who could help me and explaing how... or if it is even possible

    Cordially ASilva

    use a variable to store the number of clicks of buttons:

    var botaoClickNum:int = 0;

    botao.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, mostrartexto);

    function mostrartexto(event:MouseEvent){botaoClickNum++;           caixadetexto.text = botaoClickNum.toString();
    }

    More complex example:

    I'm not a writer, but I'll take a stab and try to make a difference here.

    The main problem, in my opinion, is that you use a plain text instead of GREP search. Text gross has no provision to replace the text found by itself, for example, rather than using the codes you entered a literal string. Your search text of ' ^ p(^?) ' means find any character in brackets that occurs after a paragraph break. I would use in GREP ^ \s+ (\(.+?\)) which translates to find an opening parenthesis at the beginning of a paragraph (so he'll find if it happens to be the first character in th in a story) followed by a number any characters up to the first parenthesis (in the case where you have double the figures or double entries letter) followed by ANY white space (in the case where it is not an ordinary space or multiple spaces). Replace $1\t which means the text found in the first set of parentheses in query search followed by a tab.

    Parentheses are special in GREP, they surround groups of terms you want to re-use the text found, so looking for the actual characters you need to 'escape' with the-prefix, so \(.+\) will find a paren open followed by all the characters up to the end last paren in the paragraph. Addition of the? After the + makes research stop at the first closing paren met, although there are several sets in the paragraph.

  • Text field increment number of legend - does not correctly load after the backup

    I am trying to create a field of dynamic legend who will be essential are text fields look like a list.  Initially, I searched on how to do this.  I finally found a way to do it, and it is simply to count the number of instances of the text field I and set the value of the legend:

    var curObject = prospectus.page1.step1.ObjectivesSubform.Objectives.instanceManager.count;
    prospectus. Page1.Step1.ObjectivesSubform.objectives [curObject-1]. Objective.Caption.Value text.value the Group concat (curObject, ":");

    And that helps my form works very well and the numbers to load fine in the form.  The problem I'm having is that after I save the form and reload, the figures date back to 1 for each text field.  Someone has an idea?

    * To test what I see, go to 'Objectives' and click Add target to create at least 2 additional text fields (so that you have at least 3 overall).  Save the form, and note that the numbers went from 1,2,3 to 1,1,3-triethoxyheptane.  It will be the same if you create any amount.  If you create 5 more it will go 1,1,1,1,5.  I'm puzzled.

    I think that it is related to the initialization of the form sub and how instance manager interprets the subshape County. The "count" on the instanceManager property is the current number of instances of the secondary form. When you add instances of the form in increments of 'count' and she is exposed as a sequential number incremented. However, after economy-close-open the form, the County is irrelevant until you add another instance.

    Try the 'instanceIndex' property and assigning the legend as follows:

    prospectus. Page1.Step1.ObjectivesSubform.objectives.objective::Initialize - (JavaScript, client)

    var CNT = Objectives.instanceIndex + 1;
    xfa.resolveNode("Objectives.Objective.caption.value.#text").value = cnt + ":";

  • Connection of a drop-down text field and box

    Untitled.jpg

    I am new to livecycle and have only used it for 2 days. I be so grateful for all the amazing expert help I found here. I think that my first form is almost over. I'm having a problem with one last question. I created a database with two fields. field 1 is name and displays a name I.E. John Doe, zone 2 is ID and contains a single string as 12345678. I created a drop down list for name and it works fine, I see all the names in the database. I then created a text field I want to show ID in.

    Example when

    Name                            ID

    John Doe 12345678

    And if another use is selected

    Name                            ID

    DOE 12345987

    How can I connect these two fields to display the correct data?

    Hello

    When you have linked the drop-down list for the data connection you set the value of the element and the text of the item properties in this dialog box

    If you have set the value of the element to ClientID, which would get the customer name and customer id in the drop-down control on the form, then this.boundItem (xfa.event.change) when xfa.event.change contains a text value of the element will return the value of the element (or the id of the customer in your case)

                }
            };

            //add your component to this subManager
            lbl = new LabelField("SUNRAYS SEARCH", LabelField.USE_ALL_WIDTH | DrawStyle.HCENTER);
            Font myFont = Font.getDefault().derive(Font.PLAIN, 10, Ui.UNITS_pt);
            lbl.setFont(myFont);
            subManager.add(lbl);
            subManager.add(new SeparatorField());

            editfild = new EditField(){
                protected void layout(int width, int height) {
                    setExtent(width*85/100, 30);

                };
            };
            editfild.setBorder( BorderFactory.createSimpleBorder( new XYEdges(2, 2, 2, 2),
                    new XYEdges(Color.BLACK, Color.BLACK, Color.BLACK, Color.BLACK), Border.STYLE_SOLID));
            editfild.setBackground(BackgroundFactory.createSolidBackground(Color.WHITE));

            hfm.add(editfild);
            hfm.add(gobtn);

            subManager.add(hfm);

            //add subManager over the mainManager
            mainManager.add(subManager);

            //finally add the mainManager over the screen
            this.add(mainManager);
        }
    }

    The following code shows an EditField and a button, and I can type in the EditField and click the button.  It is not perfect, but at least it works.

    I don't know what the problem is with your code.  I suggest review you my code, review your code and investigate things that are different.

    Two areas I would focus on your layout and the sublayout.  As stated in a previous post, if you must code a setExtent in a layout, then you should really think about creating your own Manager - I gave you links to do this several times.  And if you plan to use a standard field and to make it work properly, you must use the sublayout.  Here is a link to help you create custom fields:

    Edit:

    Thanks for the update of these discussions.

    And I'm sorry.   I forgot to paste the code...  Here, it is now...

            EditField editfild = new EditField(){
                protected void layout(int width, int height) {
                    super.layout(width*85/100, height);
                };
            };
            editfild.setBorder( BorderFactory.createSimpleBorder( new XYEdges(2, 2, 2, 2),
                    new XYEdges(Color.BLACK, Color.BLACK, Color.BLACK, Color.BLACK), Border.STYLE_SOLID));
            editfild.setBackground(BackgroundFactory.createSolidBackground(Color.WHITE));
            ButtonField gobtn= new ButtonField("Go") {
                protected boolean navigationClick(int status, int time){
                    Status.show("button clicked");
                    return true;
                }
            };
            HorizontalFieldManager hfm = new HorizontalFieldManager();
            hfm.add(editfild);
            hfm.add(gobtn);
            this.add(hfm);

  • Search for text in a text field and make the required field

    I have a text field if the user has entered a value, then the box that follows must be mandatory. I have this script that works (sort of), but I do not know what event to use to get the results I want. I want the message and the box mandatory if something is entered in the field.

    Here's the script:

    If ((this.rawValue! = "null") |) (this.rawValue! = ""))
    {
    CheckBox3.mandatory = 'error ';
    App.Alert ("Please indicate that you have reviewed the similar profile and agree with him");

    }

    else if ((this.rawValue == "null") |) (this.rawValue == ""))
    {
    CheckBox3.mandatory = "disabled";
    }

    Thank you

    MDawn

    You can put your script to output the text field event.

  • text field and a LOV

    I have a textfield and a LOV. I want to make sure that a value is entered in the textfield before someone
    try to open the LOV. I tried in different ways to throw an exception if anyone tries to open the LOV if the TextField is empty but I failed.
    Can someone guide me the best way to approach this.

    Thanks in advance.

    PK

    Hello

    1.) first capture the LOV event in the processformrequest method

    2.) and then to capture the id of the object textfield

    then try with this code

    If (pageContext.isLovEvent ())
    {

    String lovInputSourceId = pageContext.getLovInputSourceId ();

    If ('ID of LOVfield".equals (lovInputSourceId))
    {
    OAMessageTextInputBean msbean = (OAMessageTextInputBean) webBean.findIndexedChildRecursive ("text field id");
    If (msbean.getValue (pageContext) is nothing)
    {
    throw new OAException ("Please enter a value in the text field", OAException.ERROR);
    }
    }
    }

    more the other option is to use the PPR

    1.) initially hide your LOV

    2.) fire an event of ppr on the text field, enter this event and on this event, check if the value is not null, and then set your rendered true LOV

    thanx

  • Text fields and fields digital ubiquitous automatically updated

    Hi all

    I was learning and beginning to design forms in LC designer since last week. As a result of an assignment, I have to design a 2-page form which is mainly about 3 different products outside of the desription and instruction... ; Let's say A, B and C. What I don't understand are:

    • Suppose I have a drop down list, I choose, and then the text in the desription, instruction, the price will be adjusted accordingly. The same for B and c. (put it in other words, how to one/link between the field of text and drop-down list or any other list / field?)

    I found an interesting-but-confusing article to the http://acrobatusers.com/tutorials/2007/js_list_combo_livecycle

    • And if there is a numeric field, I hope that when I type a number in there, it can be used for the calculation and the result can be seen in the text of the Bill.

    He comes to know that it requires a large amount of JavaScript code, but I have no basic understanding of JavaScript. I'm starting to learn now but do not know exactly where to start (some ebooks tutorial I've found are really thick and heavy). Seem like it is not possible to learn it in a few days and this is a big one for me assignment since then.  It would be great if anyone can guide me how to give meaning to these problems.

    For the same form, you can define the fields you want to have the same data in the same name, and then set its property binding at the global level.

    You can export the data in a form using menu items to Acrobat/Reader, and then using this menu you can import them into your new form. Note that both forms have the same structure and the naming convention for the data to bind properly. You can have a master schema to define the data for all forms, then you could link to the appropriate schema components.
