Text in Cap 9?

No there is no way to increase the text in a paragraph? I use a common font in a block of text with multiple lines of text. Search entire lines of text the crowded. Is it possible to control the attack?  Maybe I'm too used to InDesign...

Hoping someone has a suggestion.

Thank you

Pete

Look in the properties panel, role of composition, "spacing." It's a little strange, as it is in "pt" and the 1 (low) value. You can increase by typing or using the up arrow (increment with 0.1; 1 is at the height of the police). If you want only to a part of the text, first select the text.

  • Slider custom text field (Cap) does not appear

    All;

    I created a custom text field based on the standard text field, changes work fine (really just a custom height and width and a border).  The problem is the method of painting which seems to remove the cap of the field when it gets the focus.  To be clear the carret never shown at all.

    public class CustomText extends TextField //cutom text field width
    {
        //Custom Height and Width in Pixels
        final static int textwidth=125;
        final static int textheight=25;

         CustomText()
         {
         super(); // Call the default constructor

         //Border for text fields
         XYEdges padding = new XYEdges(5, 5, 5, 5); //space between box and border
         Border theborder = BorderFactory.createSimpleBorder(padding, Border.STYLE_SOLID);

         //Assign the border to the object
         this.setBorder(theborder);
         }

         public void onFocus( int direction )
         {
            super.onFocus( direction ); //invoke parent procedure
            invalidate(); //mark for redraw
         }

         public void onUnfocus()
         {
        super.onUnfocus(); //invoke parent procedure
        invalidate(); //mark for redraw
         }

         //Override the layout with the custom Width and Height
         protected void layout(int width, int height)
         {
            super.layout(textwidth,textheight);
            setExtent(textwidth,textheight);

         }

        //Override the display message such that no message is displayed when the field is full
        protected void displayFieldFullMessage()
        {
        }

        //Override the default paint method to call the super class constructor and then assign the border
        protected void paint(Graphics graphics)
        {
           // int prevColor = graphics.getColor(); //Save Previous Color
            graphics.setBackgroundColor(Color.LIGHTGRAY); // Set to Gray
            graphics.clear(); // Clear for redraw
            super.paint(graphics); //Force Redraw of Object
          //  graphics.setColor(prevColor); //restore for cursor paint

        }

    };

    In the paint in the first and last method lines that are commented out were a soloution that I tried after reading on this subject.  Something along the lines of the restoration of the default color, but unfortunately without success.   Any ideas would be more useful

    Thank you!

    Quick thoughts:

    (a) to remove the requirement to substitute paint by setting the background a Color.LIGHTGRAY using the base class

    (b) you put on the field by using this:

    Super.Layout (TextWidth, TextHeight);

    If you then do the following:

    setExtent (textwidth, textheight);

    you are likely to confuse the field.  If you still want to use the entire height and use the full width and then try to deal with it in the Style, that is, replace this:

    Super(); Call the default constructor

    with this

    Super(TextField.USE_ALL_HEIGHT |) TextField.USE_ALL_WIDTH); Call the default constructor

    (c) why you override onFocus and onUnfocus?  I would like to delete these if you do not have anything specific to these methods.

    Make these changes, and you'll have a more simple TextField.  See if these changes will solve the problem of the caret too.

  • How can I change the height of text without converting them vectorised text?

    I work in a sign company and often need to put in place the text in a specific size. When the text is CAPS, it isn't so bad, but in the case of title case, it can be a pain...

    For example, if I need letters 2 "high, it would generally be compared to the uppercase version of the first letter of the word (no matter the ascending and descending).

    A few times I need to make several at once, so change them individually are very tedious when I cPV every word to outlines, then aletters of each word to make up for the ascendants and descendants of aresurrection.

    I wonder if there is a faster way to do this without convert curves?  In addition, I notice that when I change the size of the font (in the character palette) to 2 ", for example, when describing the text is actually smaller.

    signguy (There),

    You can:

    (1) tick Edit > preferences > General > use overview of limits;

    (2) select the Type and the effect > path > describe the object.

    Which will reduce the Bounding Box to the real limits of the letters and keep the editable Type.

    Don't forget to uncheck the Edit > Preferences > General > use limits Preview until you get a reverse problem.

  • Font Arial Black Cap 6 or later

    Arial Black is available in Cap 6 or later. I have it on my machine Win 8.1 and can use it in Word and other programs, but when adding a text in Cap 6 caption cannot select.

    I have Arial Rounded, Arial and Arial Unicode.

    Thank you, Janet

    I've been struggling with this during more than an hour. A colleague stopped in and told to choose Arial, then in the field below black Style becomes available. So, I guess that the font is Arial, style is black, not police Arial Black.

    Phew!

  • All caps with small capitals

    We have some guidelines for third-party brand. They request headers to be all caps with the first letter CAP with small capitals for letters after the first selection. I already have a small cap grep using \u\u+. Is it possible to have the actual first letter CAP with small capitals after this one.

    I tried [\u]\u\u+ and I tried to use [^ \u]\u\u+.]] I also tried [\ < = (\u)]\u\u+.] I tried to exclude them from the CAP, then apply small capitals. Then the butcher shop just started because I don't get GREP at all.

    Thank you all,

    Mike

    I think that we go right terminology som...

    ID is, all uppercase is all uppercase and is applied as a decoration, rather than FORCED uppercase glyphs, applying all caps will change the appearance (but not the real character entered) of lower case to make it look like an uppercase glyph. It has no effect at all on the text as caps.

    Small caps also affects only lowercase letters and is applied in the same way, so that all lowercase letters that samll caps is applied will look like in uppercase, but smaller in height. Wheter these are 'real' small caps, arrested in connection with the police, or versions across the uppercase glyphs depend on the police.

    The same text may not be all in capitals and small capitals, but this really looks like the guideline is to use small caps.

    So it seems to me that what you really need to do is enter in the definition of paragraph style for headings and under basic character Format and open the drop-down list box, then choose small caps or small caps OpenType (if you use an OT font with true small capitals), and aything in fact you do not type in capital letters will be in small caps.

  • Arial regular display problem

    Hello! I used arial regular on a design in photoshop and I'm trying to reproduce the same one in inDesign, it displays just differently.

    I looked online for solutions, nothing worked.

    Not really. You have applied for text small caps. Remove it.

    If you are unable to do so, to download your document or a sample of the document to dropbox.com and provide a download link and I'd be happy to look at it.

  • ActionScript 2.0 and program Page Flip.

    Again any help would be greatly appreciated here. You people are impressive.

    With the help I have already received, I was able to solve a problem only to face another.

    I have my "stationary caption" works fine but when I place my new AS2 swf file in my
    Program the Flash page flip which do not work.  Thets hotspo are there, but without the legend of hover.

    I read on the site of page flip that, ' If your page contains any ActionScript code, avoid using these.
    variables such as _root or _level0, pointing to the clip on your page. The book inside your page is not

    I noticed that the ACE includes code that says _root in three different places.  I am very new to AS and I
    have no idea what should be deleted or added to this when _root is to make it work for my Flash page flip
    to work properly

    Here is my as any help would be great and the simpler the better if possible.  Thank you.

    If you are looking for the _lockroot property in the Flash help documents will be explained what is and how to use it.  The help of documents can I that, for just about everything, little of the language you use, then you must learn how to use them and turn their first.

  • Legends of rollover help

    Hello

    I have problems with this legend hover script I got from Jacques. Most of the excellent work of legends but some (particularly long names) appear to the left of the button.

    You can see an example here:

    http://QA-scapaosd.migcom.com/content/10138/east_county.html

    The bit of land just to the right of the 12 road sign in the lower right part of the map for an example of one that appears left of turnover turnover hit State.

    I use the following actionscript code:

    captionFN = function (showCaption, captionText, Anom) {}
    If {(showCaption)
    this.attachMovie ("caption", "hat", this.getNextHighestDepth ());
    this.createEmptyMovieClip ("hoverCaption", this.getNextHighestDepth ());
    hoverCaption._alpha
    Cap.desc.Text = captionText;
    Cap._width = 7 * cap.desc.text.length;
    Cap._alpha = 75;
    //
    If ((bName._width + bName._x + cap._width) > Stage.width) {}
    XO = - 2 - cap._width;
    Yo = - 17;
    } else {}
    XO = 2;
    Yo = - 17;
    }
    hoverCaption.onEnterFrame = function() {}
    Cap._x = this ._xmouse + xo;
    Cap._y = this ._ymouse + yo;
    Cap._visible = true;
    };
    } else {}
    delete hoverCaption.onEnterFrame;
    Cap._visible = false;
    }
    };

    Any ideas? I played around with the all the values x y and nothing really seems to change...

    didn't actually test your code, but my guess is that the following
    might solve your problem:
    (1) either the value of the alignment of your "caption" MC point must be to the left
    side (and not in the Dunière) - by doing this, hovering over the buttons with
    short text will put the legend on the right and not directly above
    them.
    (2) change this line - "xo = - 2 - cap._width; ' to ' xo = - 2 - cap._width / 2;

    Good luck
    eRez

    I am using a model created by a third party, so I'm not quite familiar with all the details for the moment.  With each selection of fonts, is why my text all uppercase when my shift caps lock is off?

    Double click on a the problem text layer in the timeline panel.  Open the character.  Look at the bottom.  You will see a button with two capital letters you s is turned on ("TT").  This is the switch "caps".  Turn the power off.  Characters now work as expected.

  • Legends of text not appearing is not in the CAP 7 records

    Text captions that I need much for eLearning demos are not seized with CAP 7 records, regardless of what record mode I. I checked the Prefs so many times and can not see the problem. Can anyone help?

    Hello

    Whether or not the text captions are added depends entirely on the application that you capture.

    Try to open something like Windows Notepad (if you use Windows) or maybe the Mac equivalent if you are on Mac. Then save that. If you now see the added legends, this means that the application that you recorded is not being heard by Captivate.

    If this process is not yet cause to add captions, you may need to reset your preferences file.

    See you soon... Rick

  • In Acrobat, is it possible to have a form field to use small caps in place of lowercase text?

    I found online java script that forces a field to be all caps (use in the format tab > custom format script). But I was not able to find something to edit the text in lower case in small capitals. Anyone know how to do this (or if it can only be done in Acrobat)?

    There is no such setting in Acrobat. You can use a 'small caps', but

    That's all.

  • Cap 7: Cannot reduce the size of the caption text in the very small

    Hello

    Cape 7.0.1.237.

    I can't reduce the caption text to make them very small. for example to include just the word "cell".

    The smallest, I can do it is the 152 H 62.

    When I try to reduce it more small that a red line appears on the top and sides of the legend of text on the slide.

    Updated text style legend - Arial 14 regular points. Left and top alignment.

    'Constraint properties' are NOT selected. The spacing is '1', the margins are all "0".

    Donal.

    One of the many limitations of these old text legends, there is a minimum size, as far as I KNOW.

    Another reason why I chose mainly to use shapes and text containers. Is not an option for you? They can be reduced to much smaller sizes.

  • How do underline you a drop cap so that the text following around her wrapping?

    I found a PDF Online where the designer has used large drop caps on a number of occasions that are highlighted.

    Obviously this is not technically difficult, I can add an underline in the character Panel, but underscore appears above the line of text below.

    In the case of the original example, not only the line of text below appears as underscore on the drop cap, the adjacent text to the right of the drop cap is perfectly aligned with the bottom of the letter drop IMP and the underscore, as if everything is settled on the baseline. How is - this made both acurately?
