Font Arial Black Cap 6 or later

Arial Black is available in Cap 6 or later. I have it on my machine Win 8.1 and can use it in Word and other programs, but when adding a text in Cap 6 caption cannot select.

I have Arial Rounded, Arial and Arial Unicode.

Thank you, Janet

I've been struggling with this during more than an hour. A colleague stopped in and told to choose Arial, then in the field below black Style becomes available. So, I guess that the font is Arial, style is black, not police Arial Black.

Phew!

  • More "BOLD" Arial Black font is not available

    After the upgrade to windows XP with SP3 (Service Pack) the message [font 'Arial Black bold' is not available. "Arial Black Heavy" will be used in this session.] is generated whenever the file is opened. It is a problem because I have several hundred files that use the Arial Black style in bold. This problem is widespread, no matter what either FM (5.5, 7.0 or 8.0) versions I use. However if I Uninstall SP3 the problem disappears. I also tried the FM files on 2 separate computers, one with and one without SP3. leading to the same result.

    What makes the font conversion occur and why is associated with SP3? Y at - it a fix for this problem?

    -The police who is targeted is family-Arial Black with weight - in bold. —

    A few google search with subjects "winxp sp3" "arial bold" revealed that MS did make a change in the way that Arial Narrow black named and are used, which results in sudden changes to bold or italic, or black faces in many applications. also associated with Office 2007.

    I'm not sure of the ramifications in FM (I do not use SP3) but it seems that there is a MS Hotfix for the problem.

    As always, Please, please make sure to save your files FM before trying these fixes!

    I specify Arial Black in a CSS class. It displays in Chrome and IE but not in Firefox.
    A reason for this? Is there a fat extra I can use instead that FF will recognize?

    I solved the problem myself - do not know how.

    Here's the CSS that works:

    {.arialBlk13}
    do-family: Arial Black, Helvetica, Verdana, without serif.
    color: # 63706;
    do-size: 11px;
    line-height: 21px;

    It cannot be resolved with Reader. Sounds like an issue that will be attached to the end of the creation of embedding fonts.

  • Font Arial rendered only in "BOLD"

    I don't really know how (it seems to me as it happened completely at random) but today I started Firefox and Wikipeda appeared entirely in bold. After checking my problem on Google, I discovered that Google displays each piece of text in bold as well. I think that my police Arial have been damaged by an old game (Age of Empires II) I have installed and played with my children this past weekend. This solved my problem. Try to go into the fonts Control Panel by clicking Start, Control Panel, and then click fonts. If you do not see "fonts" then look at the top right of your control panel for the option "view by" and choose "small icons". You can also find it in Windows Explorer when accessing your Windows folder, and then the fonts folder. Mine is in c:\windows\fonts. Once you're here, copy the Arial font by right click on it and choose 'copy' and paste it in a temporary folder of your choice or on the desktop. You can also simply drag it to another folder or on the desktop. It should stick around 9 different versions of the Arial font. Go to the folder that you just pasted on it for, arial.ttf right-click and choose copy, and then return to the control panel fonts, right-click anywhere and choose Paste. It must be said the police is already installed and ask if you want to replace it. Say yes to all instances. If you did it glisser drag on the desktop, then just do drag the fonts Control Panel and say yes to all the questions of installation. Hope this helps you. If you cannot find the arial police in the fonts Control Panel, then your problem is more likely that it has been deleted. You will need to download it somewhere and reinstall. Sorry I can't help you with that.
