Text is burrs on Windows 7

Original title: Burr

I have Windows 7 and I haven't changed anything on the subject, and the text is Burr. How can I fix?

There was another topic recently with a similar problem. He left for lunch and when machine

He returned the text and icons on the desktop were stronger.

Seems his done monitor suddenly decided to stop working correctly.

Another option would be the cable from the monitor.

-If you can, test your PC on another monitor, or try a different cable.

-You can also start the setup 'Adjust clear Type text' and see if that helps.

(In Control Panel > display)

If this does not help, post more details on the problem and include your graphics card

technical characteristics.

A picture of a word document can be useful as well.

My errased sticker product key and I can't read all the text to reactivate my windows visa. What should I do now?

    Hello

You mean the sticker on the case of the Vista operating system pre-installed from Dell, HP, Acer, Toshiba, etc.) ?

If you do, you can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:

You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:

How to change the Boot order in BIOS:

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm

"How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them to the proper key sequence.

And if you do not score a manufacturer of recovery on your hard drive, you should be able to make your own recovery from her disks to reinstall the operating system.

Go to programs > name of the manufacturer of your computer > then their system or recovery tools software topics for them, depending on how it is formulated.

If you can't find any reference to it, contact the manufacturer for advice on how to make these recovery disks.

The methods above resettlement generally do not require allows you to provide a product key during Installation, the recovery process uses the Installation product key factory to activate automatically during the resettlement process.

    See you soon.

  • Why text is distorted after windows update and how can I solve this problem?

    Hello

This morning my windows vista made some updates. Subsequently the Firefix text is exampe is bad, sometimes unreadable, attached. The text is not bad in IE, but change the return isn't desireble. Text was OK before the reboot of Windows Update. Disable ClearType exacerbates the problem. I tried to reset as described on https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/reset-preferences-fix-problems, no help.

    Data:
Acer laptop Travelmate (6 years), running fully updated Windows Vista, Danish language. Firefix 35.0.1.

    What to do next?

    Regards Lars Jensen

an option may be to tackle this particular update for now until there is a fix from microsoft or you could also look at if there is a graphics driver update available on the Web site of the seller (intel/amd/nvidia) which could also be solved this problem in some cases.

  • Are there plans on improving/adding text anti-aliasing for Windows in future versions?

Are there plans on improving what the text looks like FF on Windows desktop?

I learned that it is based somewhat on ClearType, which I confirmed after seeing some differences in the way in which the text is rendered after changing the settings several times.

The attached screenshot shows the best I could get FF 33.1.1 and 35.0 to return. It is particularly painful on Web sites that use a type of extremely large or small, it's awful.

P.S. I hope this is the right place to ask about it.

  • How to read the text from a DOS window in real time?

I call an executable file that downloads a file to flash memory.  This program displays status information in real time as the percentage of completion in one window BACK.   It also makes account of the CRC of the file as it downloads.  I am currently redirect the output of the DOS window in a text log file.  This works fine for obtaining of the CRC when the file is actually downloading but the operator loses the visibility of the State in the percentage of download.  Is there a way to read text information in a DOS window with my request of LabWindows/CVI real-time?

    Hi Brent,

If redirect you the output from the first application in a log file, you would be able to read the contents of the file streaming to your second request, and whenever the content changes (such as the download value percentage), couldn't display you this information immediately with the second request in one window DOS or some other GUI?

  • All text is in symbols (Windows Vista)

Almost all of the text on my desktop and applications are not in English, but in weird symbols (notches, circles, triangles, rectangles). Worse still is the fact that I can't read anything in the Start Menu to find out where the control panel and my computer are to solve the problem, nor enter web addresses in Google Chrome to access Microsoft Support (I ask this question on another computer).

All I can do to solve this problem, as the change in the language? Descriptive instructions or images would be helpful since I can't read any of my menus.

well, a good way to change these fonts is to click with the right button on the desktop and should be the last option in the right click menu 'customize' with an icon of the small screen. If done correctly, you should see a window with icons and the "words". Click the icon with the 'orange' and blue squares This should be "themes." It should be a drop down with different themes, try the different themes to see what works. One of the themes should change the fonts.
    I hope this helps...

  • Text of pixelated on Windows 7 after updates

    Hello

Two days ago, I installed all proposed updates on my desktop (Windows 7 OS).
Since then, the text in some programs is pixelated and NOT anti-aliasing:
    -Windows Welcome screen
    -Microsoft Office Excel
    -Adobe Flash Builder
    -Google Chrome
    - ....
I tried to do the following, but nothing seems to work:
    -ClearType enabled
    -Activation of the smooth edges
    -Restored default font settings
-Installed the latest driver for my graphics (ATI Radeon HD 2400)
-Replace my by another graphics card (NVIDIA GT 430)
Note 1: I have two screens and they both have the same problem
Note 2: The screens are set to the correct resolution

I realize that, but allowing it to will not help if it is optimized for a different model of matrix LCD.

Fault, I suggest you try to create a new user profile to see if the problem is there.

  • Is it possible to expand the text and icons in Windows Explorer without changing its framework or my screen resolution?

I started meeting with eyestrain from prolonged use of the computer.  Of course, I must simply reduce screen time, but may not reduce significantly again. During this time, I set it on a few minor visual adjustments that might be more favorable to the eye to me.  A change would be to increase the size of the text and folder icons in my field of Windows Explorer. I tried to achieve this expansion by increasing my overall screen resolution, but that change has become cumbersome and actually greater stress perspective.  Is it possible that I can change the size of text and icon from the Windows Explorer, without giving up its current location (details) and without affecting the size of anything else (for example, my office)?

I know that my investigation is not in the urgent category, but I would be grateful for all the advice. (Well, almost everything...?)

    Thank you now also.

    -BJJ

No do not trust them - it's a widespread scam underway.  They want to ask you to install support software (usually decent software, like Team Viewer, that legitimate companies use to provide assistance), but then they use it to implant viruses. Or, more often, they open an arbitrary log file, claim this means that you have a virus, and they will help you conveniently 'fix' for a fair cost.

No one will ever 'cold call' offer to help you with your PC.
