Text of FM10 index maker
Hello.
In the manual FM10, he wrote that the text of the index entry in the markers Panel can be entered up to 255 characters (127 Japanese double-byte characters).
But, when I walked into English characters 500 or 300 Japanese characters, the index mark can be generated and no message informing me of the marker
text is too long.
In FM7, if I entered more than 256 characters or 128 Japanese characters, FM7 watch this marker text message is too long.
The number of characters in the text of the marker limited in FM10?
Concerning

It seems that it is 1024:
Klaus Daube: known limitations and special properties
As a matter of aesthetics, of course, something more broad than an Index column (less some numbers for the page number) is too long.

Invisible text on the index page
I used Dreamweaver in the classic environment. The index.html page seems fine and I used edit text here without any problem. However I use OS x, ago different end appeared: index.shtml when I open this document there is no text I could change is visible. All empty space. It is in design mode. When I go to view code, I see all the text. I changed end shtml to HTML in the hope that the text will appear. Nope.
So my question is - how to make the text visible in index.shtml document in design mode?The page includes in it.

My Iwatch vibrate when you receive a text. Should she make a sound?
My shows I vibrate when you receive a text. Should she make a sound?
Hi Larry
Sound alerts and haptic depend on your settings. To check their:
On your iPhone, app in the watch, go to: My Watch (tab) > Messages.
-For example, you might set this parameter to custom, and then, under alerts, select each of the alerts to show, sound and Haptic.
Also on your iPhone app in the watch, go to: Watch My > sounds & Haptics - check that:
-The alert Volume selector is where you want it to be;
-Silent Mode is not enabled;
-The switch force haptic is in the central position or the right hand.
-Eminent Haptic is enabled (to get before announcements of current alerts).

How do I create a text exponent or index in Muse?
I can't find anyway to do a text exponent or index in Muse. I can possibly need for mathematical equations, but right now I just need to have a single number exponent.
Thank you!
Hi VFEpedals,
My apologies for the confusion here. You can use super/subscript text by creating a character style that uses the super/index tag:
- Select the text that you want to super/index.
- Click on the page icon in the character Styles Panel to create a new character Style.
- Double-click the style that has been created to open the Style Options.
- Give a unique name to your style, then choose the exponent or index tag to use for the style.
You can then apply that style to text throughout your site.
Note: You will not see the effects of super/index in Design view, but you will preview and when previewing the page/site in the browser.
Best regards

Where is the text for the index and search tabs saved?
It is specifically in RoboHelp 9 - although the answer may be the same for other versions.
I wonder, when WebHelp is created, where to get the text to use in the indexing and search tabs?
Specifically, I'm looking for (and change), the text in the Index tab that reads, "type in the keyword to find:" and the text in the Search tab that reads, "Type in the words to search for:
I suspect these two phrases are in a file .lng somewhere, and just this file needs to be changed...
Any ideas?
The mentioned Colum .lng file are accessible more easily by clicking on file > project settings > Advanced button > LNG tab
Under LNG, you will see everything most of the default labels for different items. It is better to work here on the source of LNG, rather than trying to change the output WebHelp that will be replaced later the next time that you build.
Thank you

Problem CS5 with the static text in the Index
When I increased the font size in the paragraph style for my Index entries, static text (see, also, etc.) does not increase to match. How can I change the style of the static text?
If you check under your character styles, you should have an option for external benchmark. Set it to the same size as the rest of the text for your index.

Oracle Text multi column index based query returns no rows
Hello
I have a MAH_KERESES_MV table with 3 columns OBJEKTUM_NEV, KERESES_SZOVEG_1, KERESES_SZOVEG_2. I create the following Oracle multi column text index:
ctx_ddl.create_preference exec ('MAH_SEARCH', 'MULTI_COLUMN_DATASTORE');
ctx_ddl.set_attribute exec ('MAH_SEARCH', 'COLUMNS', 'OBJEKTUM_NEV, KERESES_SZOVEG_1, KERESES_SZOVEG_2');
create index MAX_KERES_CTX on MAH_KERESES_MV (OBJEKTUM_NEV)
indexType is ctxsys.context
parameters ("DATASTORE MAH_SEARCH");
But the query returns no rows, although if I make the query with the 'like' operator, and then I get the results as expected:
SELECT id, OBJEKTUM_NEV
OF MAH_KERESES_MV
WHERE CONTAINS (OBJEKTUM_NEV, "C") > 0;
Can some body please help? TIA,
TamasYou can do it in Oracle Text, well it is not necessarily desirable.
You can search the
WHERE CONTAINS(OBJEKTUM_NEV, '%C%')>0;
And it will probably work in a simple test. However, using a leader like this wildcard prevents them the index on the table "list of words" used, so such a request can be very slow on a large system.
You can improve this by using SUBSTRING_INDEX, but making your much bigger index. And you could always hit the 'expansions too' problem if %C % expansion is more than about 15,000 words (depending on version and different settings).Also be aware of differences in case - %C % will match 'fact' or 'FACT', as part of a CONTAINS, but not part of a TYPE.

How to find and replace text in the index entries?
Hello
Recently, I copied a manual to create a new one for another product. After a global search and replace the product names and other texts, I needed to replace a specific word that appears in the index entries.
I noticed the search box would allow me to search the text of the marker, but I had to replaceme the word by hand - cut and paste the new Word, click on change the marker to save it and then find the next occurrence.
It's with frame 7.2. Does anyone know a faster way to do this?
Yours,
Michael F.
=========
Peter,
Thanks for the lead.
I downloaded the zip file and all it contains is a DLL file, but no instructions.
What should I do to make it work and how do I know that it works?

Can - as anyone knows it is possible to create the two oracle text index on a column, for example, index CTXCAT and CTXRULE index and which will be during the questioning of this column? is this a good practice?
Thanks in advance.
If in doubt, test it and see. Yes, you can create two types of text index Oracle on the same column. If you create a CTXCAT index and an index of CTXRULE, then using CATSEARCH queries will use the CTXCAT index and queries using MATCHES will use the CTXRULE index. When querying with CATSEARCH, you will find all the lines where the search terms in the value of the column. When querying with CTXRULE, he does the opposite and finds all rows where the column values are found in the search terms. Please see the demo below. Whether if it is a good practice, depends on what you need. If you need two types of research, then Yes. If this isn't the case, then no, it would be unnecessary overhead.

Text Oracle (type index CTXCAT) index does not not with wild-card leader
Hi Experts,
We are on Oracle 11.2.0.2 on Solaris 10 and I implemented the Oracle text as in the example below:
I've already implemented it and now faced with this question that queries do not work as expected - can anyone suggest what we can do for this problem?CREATE TABLE TEST_USER ( FIRST_NAME VARCHAR2(64 CHAR) NOT NULL, LAST_NAME VARCHAR2(64 CHAR) NOT NULL ); CREATE INDEX TEST_USER_IDX3 ON TEST_USER (FIRST_NAME) INDEXTYPE IS CTXSYS.CTXCAT PARAMETERS('LEXER cust_lexer'); CREATE INDEX TEST_USER_IDX4 ON TEST_USER (LAST_NAME) INDEXTYPE IS CTXSYS.CTXCAT PARAMETERS('LEXER cust_lexer'); Dont worry about the cust_lexer, it is for diacritical search and it is not relevant to this question so I am not copying the code for the preference I created etc. Now I have a row of data in the table with first_name column as Supervisor. If I run the below sql, it gives output: SELECT * FROM test_user WHERE catsearch (first_name, 'Supervisor', NULL) > 0; FIRST_NAME LAST_NAME ------------------------------ ------------------------------ Supervisor upervisor --even the below sql with wild card (*) at the end works fine... SQL> SELECT * 2 FROM test_user 3 WHERE catsearch (first_name, 'Super*', NULL) > 0; FIRST_NAME LAST_NAME ------------------------------ ------------------------------ Supervisor upervisor However the below sql queries doesn't give any output, though they should return the same row as above! SQL> SELECT * 2 FROM test_user 3 WHERE catsearch (first_name, '*visor', NULL) > 0; no rows selected SQL> SELECT * 2 FROM test_user 3 WHERE catsearch (first_name, '*vis*', NULL) > 0; no rows selected
Thank you

Published by: orausern on 16 January 2013 11:07When you create a ctxcat index, it creates different tables index field. You can query like this:
select dr$token from dr$TEST_USER_IDX3$i;
... to see which tokens are created by the indexing. In your case, I think that you will find just the word 'controller' in the name, is that you can go. This documentation gives to think than catsearch and wildcards don't mix, unless you use the query template feature.
I'm more familiar with CTXSYS. CONTEXT clues, though:
drop index TEST_USER_IDX3; SQL> CREATE INDEX TEST_USER_IDX3 ON TEST_USER 2 (FIRST_NAME) 3 INDEXTYPE IS CTXSYS.CONTEXT; SQL> select * from test_user where contains (first_name, '%vis%')>0; FIRST_NAME LAST_NAME ---------------------------------------------------------------- ----------- Supervisor Ubervisor
Anyway, since I've linked the document, I think you might need to check the query patterns.
There's a specific forum Oracle Text here, however, and if you can get Barbara Boehmer to read your question there, she'll probably have a definitive answer for you.
PS: She may already have provided in Re: wildcard search, on which she stated that "since catsearch does not support wildcards left you need context...» ».

Oracle Text, multi_column_datastore describe index
Referring to the
TOAD or SQL Navigator, you can click on an object any (such as a table, index) and click on the "script" tab where the code is generated to create.
Assuming that I am a person who sees the index for the first time where/how I can find multi_columns/settings with which the index has been created?
For example:
And script says:exec ctx_ddl.drop_preference( 'myds' ); exec ctx_ddl.create_preference( 'myds', 'MULTI_COLUMN_DATASTORE' ); exec ctx_ddl.set_attribute( 'myds', 'COLUMNS', 'item_barcode, item_title, item_subtitle' ); CREATE INDEX i_index_test ON item (item_title) INDEXTYPE IS ctxsys.context PARAMETERS ( 'datastore myds' );
Where can I find datastore "myds"?CREATE INDEX PLSQL.I_INDEX_TEST ON PLSQL.ITEM (ITEM_TITLE) INDEXTYPE IS CTXSYS.CONTEXT PARAMETERS('datastore myds') NOPARALLEL;
You can use ctx_report to get information about an index.
I use it for SQL * more like this:
set pagesize 0 set heading off set trimspool on set long 500000 spool index.sql select ctx_report.create_index_script('MyIndexName') from dual; spool off
The only thing it will not give you is the source for all of the procedures used in the user_datastore. You can get to user_sources.

I m trying to apply INDEXES of the words founded in one click the button"of the created user interface.
Is this possible.
It's my test.

doc = app.activeDocument.stories.everyItem ();
app.findGrepPreferences.findWhat = "policy";
found = app.documents [0] .findGrep ();
for (i = 0; i > found.length; i ++) {}

Hi rajnikids,
I'm new to javascript.
Try this
app.findGrepPreferences = app.changeGrepPreferences = null;
doc = app.activeDocument.stories.everyItem ();
app.findGrepPreferences.findWhat = "policy"; the text you are looking for
myTopic = app.activeDocument.indexes.add (). topics.add ({name: 'Policy'}); Add topic
founded = app.documents [0] .findGrep ();
for (i = 0; i
found = based [i];
App.Select (found);
myTopic.pageReferences.add (found, PageReferenceType.currentPage);
}

appearance of numbers without text to the index
Hello
I have an automatically generated index for fm 9, some numbers of page text (I see them below also correct) keep appearing as symbols
It's the first time I meet markers with start and end range
but I wonder if something is wrong and if I can do something about that...
Thank you
ElenaOpen marker window, then use the Hypertext (hold the button ctrl + alt and click on the page numbers) in the index to no access these NONE entires of text index. Inspect the content shown in the marker window and modify it (or remove) accordingly.
Each index Startrange entry must have a corresponding endrange. The spelling of the terms must be identical and FM is case-sensitive. dynamic alt text will get indexed by google?
I created my first website that shows support for the dynamic property of the images on the search criteria. I am now getting the alt for images text and this text is also generate dynamically using php. Please could someone explain to me how / if this would have a positive or negative effect when the site is indexed by google.
Thank you in advance.
Please could someone explain to me how / if this would have a positive or negative effect when the site is indexed by google.
At the time when that page gets Google, the text has already been inserted. There would be no effect on indexing.
To be honest, however, I'm not sure that Google reads content of the ALT attribute. It's really for accessibility. Now if it were the title attribute, I think that's certainly read.

CS3 / Win: apply the text attribute: exposing / index
Hello
How can I register "exposing" or "index" for a range of text?
Thank you
Hans
Hello Hans,.
Yes, you can apply exhibitor/index to the text range.
The text attribute to use is ITextAttrPositionMode
Set it to-
IDrawingStyle::kPosSubscript / IDrawingStyle::kPosSuperscript according to your requirement.
To see how a text attribute must be applied to the text range referring to SnpTextModelHelper of SnippetRunner.
