the appeal of menus in oracle forms

Hello

I created a simple menu (main Menu that calls two forms and vendor accounts).
When I click on accounts he made a CALL_FORM (formname)

So when I go to the form of accounts and then navigate to the suppliers form, then return to the form of accounts, it opens up all these forms.
Is - this here anyway to just open an instance of the form. I don't want to use OPEN_FORM.

Let me know

Thank you
Laba

If oyu use CALL_FORM, all forms-modules called "stacked" above the other, so you can only return to a previous instance using EXIT_FORM.

You can use NEW_FORM and OPEN_FORM, both pro and con.

  • change the version of java in Oracle forms 10

    Hi all!

I m using Oracle Forms 10 and I tried to import a jar file that was compiled in java 1.6. Therefore, the import has failed with the following exception:
"Exception occurred: java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: HelloWorld (unsupported major.minor version 50.0).

After some research, I discovered that the problem is that Oracle forms use default java 1.4.2.

I was wondering how to change Oracle forms to java 1.4 to java 1.6.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance,
    Dina

    Hello Dina,

Regarding your question, you have two options to overcome:

1 - stay with 10 g version of forms and recompile the class in the version 1.4 of java, compatible with the java Forms 10.1.2 importer.
    2. upgrade to version Forms 11 g, which uses the java version 1.6.

    Kind regards

  • The binding key works in Oracle Forms?

    Hi guys,.

This is my first time @ this forum.

I tried to find documentation on this issue but no luck.

I'm new to forms. Nevertheless, I know that to be able to use the hotkey forms, file fmrweb.res is used. BUT...

How the form (client) which key was pressed? What forms it gets from windows?

I mean, what kind of info (http request?) is sent over the network to the server?

Lets assume that F12 is assigned as the value of key 113.

What happens on the network when the user clicks on keyboard F12?

Y at - he of the info about it?

I read that when the client accesses the request forms for the first time, the java runtime classes provided in JAR files are downloaded to the client JRE cache. These files include frmall.jar, frmwebutil.jar and jacob.jar. It says it no conf file for the client, only .class

To summarize my complicated :) question: I would like to know how my form which has been pressed, before he send these data to the server, which will read fmrweb.res and ultimately understand the actual functionality

    Thanks for your replies

  • How to add the new column in the tabular layout editor in Oracle Forms

    Hello

I need to add the new column to a datablock and display the newly added column in the form. What are the steps I need to follow.

    1. I chose the new column from the view to the datablock.
    2. Add the text element in the layout editor. But this position is not correct. It overlaps with another column. How to add the new column to the layout editor?

    Thank you
    HC

In the layout editor, you can simply drag the fields so that they do not overlap.

For Windows, you can use the command line or shortcuts in Windows that are created for you.  In the case of OPMN under Windows, a Windows Service is created.  Information on the power on/off is in the documentation of the product here:

  • Problem with Oracle Forms 11 g 2 on linux

    Dear all

    Here's the problem:

    • -J' installed Oracle Forms 11 GR 2 (11.1.2.2.0) on Linux from Oracle using the JDK 1.7.0_79 6.6
    • -J' solved all the problems and issues of the Arab reports.
    • -Now regarding the oracle forms now when I compile the FMAS on WINDOWS and move them to LINUX, they work very well except for forms that use WEBUTIL the form runs but WEBUTIL functions do not work
    • - So I tried to compile these forms on LINUX now WEBUTIL feature works, but all forms (with or without WEBUTIL) compiled under LINUX display this exception message before the race, here is the behavior:

    1. 1 - the form has a trigger CONNECTION on, but here's what's happening
      01.jpg
    2. 2. after pressing ok, it requires logon, and when I try to log displays the ORA-12705 as above and so on

      02.jpg
    3. 3. but after I click on cancel turns on and uses the trigger opening SESSION and works of good form

Hope there is a solution for this.

    Best regards.

The problem was because I was using a NLS_LANG that contains a space in the value and it is surrounded by quotes like NLS_LANG ='NLS_LANG ARABIC_SAUDI ARABIA. AR8MSWIN1256', which worked very well with reports.

but it seems that the quotes were causing problems with forms,

    So I put NLS_LANG to the two forms and reports ARABIC_EGYPT reports.sh default.env. AR8MSWIN1256 OR ARABIC_AMERICA. AR8MSWIN1256

both work well, now no NLS_LANG, error

but the question of having to recompile the forms when moved to another server, who I thought he was still a known issue.

    Best regards.

  • Call DLL (c#) function in Oracle Forms

  • Why use Oracle Forms

    Hello forum
IM new in oracle form and have some confusion on the use of oracle web application forms. can someone tell me pls why use forms oracle instead of many web technologies such as asp, c#, php, Jsp? as forms are heavy, and takes a long time to load then why should I use it?

can I use oracle applications forms such as public web applications where anyone can use this application? but given this ive another confusion! all users will need to install OC4J for execution of oracle forms? If they do then its going to be a very big hassle for users.

in fact, I want to know the basic concept of using oracle forms...

Depends on your application needs, if you are developing Web sites, with a very weak interaction with a database, move away Oracle forms to Oracle Apex and database 10 g XE.
If you develop an ERP application or any other that interacts strongly with the database (Oracle db) and OLTP performance, validation data and the operations processing and others, then you must use Oracle Forms.
And as it is stated in the above post forms based on SQL and PL/SQL languages and its executables are interpreted at run time, it is not an exe file, it can be maintained more easily, you can take a form offline and the rest of your application would be quite normal.

Some people may say forms has its limits, but with PJCs and Java Beans I couldn't find a limitation that cannot be conquered.

Users who run an Oracle web application need not run OC4J at the same time, you must OC4J only if you will be running your form with the manufacturer of forms, or for testing purposes.
For a production deployment, you will need an OAS Oracle applications server and users should only auto-télécharger/install JInitiator the first run of the application only after the first time it works magically.

  • The appeal of report on the menu (Oracle 11g form)

I'm calling a report to a menu item in a menu (to which is attached a form) in Oracle Forms 11 g directly and I am having some trouble. I don't know how to call a report from a form and everything works perfectly.

But since there is no element called 'Report' to attach as there are forms on a menu, I followed the route that is attached to the PL/SQL library "rp2rro" on the file menu (mmb) and I even made on the form itself. Then when you convert a menu by using the Migration Wizard of forms, he comment statements like "ADD_PARAMETER" and replace it with calls to procedures/functions bundled in the package "rp2rro". I put all the parameters

    RP2RRO. SETOTHERS ('PARAMFORM = YES');
    RP2RRO. SETDESTYPE ('CACHE');
    RP2RRO. SETDESFORMAT ('PDF');
    RP2RRO. SETCOMMUNICATIONMODE (SYNCHRONOUS);

then made the call in the report:

    RP2RRO. RUN_PRODUCT (REPORTS, "MYREPORT', SYNCHRONOUS, DURATION, FILE system, param_list_id, NULL");

but everything I get the error "FRM-41219: can not find the report: invalid ID."

The Oracle documentation for integration forms reports is for when you run the report in a form not a menu item (to which is attached a form). Clues?

    My environment is:

Oracle (database, Fusion Middleware) 11g - Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5
Web browser - Internet Explorer 7 on Windows XP Professional

    Thank you

    See your forms/server/forms.conf file.
    It contains the virual directories:

    ...
    # Virtual path for runform.htm (used to run a form for testing purposes)
    AliasMatch ^ / forms/html / (. *) "C:\dev10gr2/tools/web/html/$1".
    ...

You can use one of them, but also to add new example:
    # Virtual path documents
    AliasMatch ^ / forms/docs / (. *) "C:\.../docs/$1".

You copy your html pages to the physical directory, then view with the following:

    Web.show_Document( '/forms/docs/my_page.html', '_blank');

    Perhaps a typing mistake?

Your menu is named MAIN_MENU_MENU, in your code, you use only MAIN_MENU.

  • Oracle forms/reports 12 c | Items on the Start Menu

    Hi guys

I installed and configured Oracle weblogic 12 c (12.2.1), forms, and reports 12 c (Professional 64-bit Windows 10, 16 GB RAM, i7 processor platform) and be able to start the server administration Weblogic, wls_forms (wls_reports not yet configured). The only element of start menu, I could see as shown below with the image

    oq1.png

I'm not sure what exactly I missed during installation and configuration (Oracle® Fusion Middleware, installation Oracle Forms and Reports, 12 c (12.2.1), E66264-01) for the installation and configuration. Please help me

    Kind regards

    Did you follow that?

    Steps in order:

    • Ensure that the machine has the static IP address (or the loopback installed and configured adapter for Windows)
    • 8 RAM minimum concert
    • Open a shell (DOS) and set the PATH to include the JDK (8U51 + 64 - bit) first in the list
    • In the shell, run the WLS installation program and follow the instructions: java-jar fmw_12.2.1.0.0_infrastructure.jar
    • Run forms and reports 12.2.1 installer
    • Run the RCU THAT found in C:\Oracle\Middleware12\Oracle_Home\oracle_common\bin
    • Run the configuration (config) (if on Windows, do not forget the shell has administrator privileges) (C:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_Home\oracle_common\common\bin)
    • With a shell with administrator privileges, start Node Manager (startNodeManager) and then start Admin Server (startWebLogic) (C:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_Home\user_projects\domains\base_domain\bin)

Once the servers have been launched successfully, the configuration will complete automatically.  This process also ends configurations required by design tools, the server startup if necessary to complete the steps.  They can be stopped if you are simply interested in examining the Builder (s), but obviously will not be able to run anything, if the servers do not work.

I hope that between this overview and documentation, almost everyone should be able to get a good start.
