  I am newbie to Flex and glued on the essential point.

  I'm trying to align the children in a custom as Center horizontally and vertically from the Middle component but the result is not harmonizing at all.

  It's my custom componet "LoadingPanel.mxml" under the component package which children I want to focus.

  Hallo. As you know some flex components have indigenous focus, like buttons, textinput, etc... I created a custom component which is a borderContainer... As you know, by default, if the user press TAB my BorderContainer will never receive the focus... I tryied to set a property as setFocus() and tabFobusEnabled to true, but I still have some problems with my borderContainer development... It's as if my app knows that my custom component is not a native component... Is there a way for my component to receive focus without problems?... Which is the best way to do this?

• Reset the custom component

  Hello!

  I have an application with some States.

  Each State shows a different custom component.

  My problem is that if someone types something in one of the States then changes state and returns then the text will always be there.

  Is there a way to reintitialize the custom on each display state component or do I have to create functions to reset everything myself?

  I work with a custom component and have led to a question in the process. Basically, inside my component I have references of hyperlink to items in my content server (ex: [! - $wcmUrl ('resource', 'SAMPLE_CONTENT_ID')-].) Now, is in view of the content of an element ID, possible to find this element web site? I scoured all the possible metadata fields and not seen one, but maybe I'm a lack?

  Also, I have some experience with CRMI services available. However, when I try and run these services thanks to a component, my 'validateCheckInData' filter is not able to be executed. I guess that's due to a conflict between types DataBinder. I am able to easily enter the location of a given element web content on my local machine ID by using the code below:

  Hi, I have custom value sets that I use with my types of special information. I have allowed these types of special information self-service and attached rules for approval their.
  Here my problem, some of the sets values are sql based and are designed to obtain information on the applicant. then I use a lot fnd_profile.value ('user_id').
  For example,.
  Select email_address from fnd_user where user_id = fnd_profile.value('user_id')
  
  But when the sit is sent for approval, any field, the use of these custom value sets are missing. the only fields that are displayed are those not not with value sets with user_id profile as part of the query.
  My question is, is there a better way to retrieve information about the employees and thus be able to avoid this error?

  Hi innocent,

  for the specific e-mail address case, maybe you can remove the valueset validation, set a default value based on the query and convert the field read-only, although I recall some faulty difficulties read only FDF.

  or maybe you could try changing the valueset to something like:

  Hello. I created a very simple custom component called myComp. It's a simple canvas 100 pixels x 100 Basic with a component of Image control.

  After the instantiation of the component in Main.mxml for example. var pic1:myComp = new myComp(); I'm having a problem setting the source property of the Image element.
  
  "image1" is the id of the mx:Image in the custom compoenent, then I tried pic1.image1.source = ' assets/ball.jpg' but I get a runtime error ' Error #1009: cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.
  
  Don't really know what I'm doing wrong.

  In your custom component, try adding a public var bindable that contains the path to your image. In addition, the value the image.source this var.
  In your main application, set the var within the tags in the custom component. Since this is a public var, it will appear in the indication of the code. You can also now change the var of the image of the main application whenever you like using ActionScript code.
