the formatting generated XML using XMLELEMENT() my output approximates to a single line, I want to be in an XML format

Hi I have a problem in the formatting of XML file, that I generated with xmlelement() when I run it gives me putput in one line

is it possible that I got my output as an XML file...

This is the expected behavior. PRETTY print (ing) is required for humans. XML parsers do not need XML to be pretty printed. If you open the XML file in a browser such as Windows Explorer or Firefox, the browser will display enough output for you.

In all, the exit 'single line' is made for PERFORMANCE reasons (lack of useless end of line and CTRL line breaks etc.)

  • The decimal separator in the model generator XML Word formatting

    Hello
    I am a model in the XML Editor, for a report of accounts receivable in the E-Business Suite. So I use MS Word with the Publisher Oracle XML model builder plug-in software component.

    The data comes from the E-Business suite by using the comma as decimal separator. For example: 123,99
    My goal is to have the period as the decimal separator. For example: 123.99
    Does anyone know what code should I use to achieve this?

  • How can I more easily generate a pulse of digital output of finite length?

    Hello

    I need to open and close the two pneumatic valves using a TTL output (without load current or the output power) using a PCI-6280 or PCI-6601. The valves must open almost simultaneously and closing after different amounts of time elapsed (millisecond level timing, maybe 100 microseconds-level timing at worst). My current plan is as follows:

    -Create a task with two digital outputs (type of waveform) and another task with a counter that generates a frequency set by the user (I know I can use the generator frequencies on one of these cards, but I would have preferred a counter - the best selection of frequencies).

    -Wire the output of the counter at the entrance to clock two digital outputs.

    -Output of the meter is digitally triggered by another digital channel which I use to control if the pulse goes out. Through its counter node, it is programmed to be redeclenchables.

    -Two digital waveforms are drafted who have both consist of unique active high pulse (i.e. signals go ' down (for the amount of time user-defined) - low ".")

    -These signals is written to their respective ports and their tasks have started, as is the task of the meter.

    -Whenever the user wants to open taps, digital triggering is sent up and then back to low (this can be done with synchronization software, because it is not exactly when the fire valves). Whenever the user wants the valves open for a different period, different digital waveforms are generated and written in the buffers of the digital output channels.

    My problem is that it looks like a lot of effort for me to go and I wonder if there is a much simpler solution, that I don't know everything. You can program a computer to produce a pulse of finite length? Is there a faster way to program a digital output for that channel?

    Thanks to anyone who responds to their help.

    It is certainly instructive. Thank you.

    The thing is, I have only six total counters to work with and I have a lot of time to do things. To use these solutions, I would need to use 4 or 6 account counters required to my needs.also that I would need to synchronize their departures.

    Overall, I stick to my method for now - less system resources and synchronization can be don by using the same meter of finished output clock and not to use a trigger to all.

    Once again, thank you for your help so far.

  • Determine the type of page of xmlelement element

    I have a page element (block of text or text on path) which was labeled (pronounced brand named pp).

    I need to determine whether it is a block of text or the path of text using xmlelement.

    Can someone guide how to proceed?

    I tried the following:

    ("var items = doc.xmlElements[0].evaluateXPathExpression("//pp ");

    var history = items [0].parent.parentStory;

    story.pageItems.item (0).allPageItems.item (0).constuctor.name / / this should be textframe or textpath

    But could not succeed.

    Kindly help!

    . constructor.name.xmlContent.textContainers [0] [0] items may not work in all cases.

    For example, if you have marked just the text in a block of text or a text path then

    items [0] .xmlContent would return text object for which textContainers property is not available.

    You can try the following:

    var xmlElems = doc.xmlElements[0].evaluateXPathExpression("//pp");

    var parentTF = xmlElems [0].texts.item (0) .parentTextFrames [0];

    If (parentTF instanceof TextFrame)

    .write $ ('text block');

    ElseIf (parentTF instanceof TextPath)

    .write $ ('text Path');

  • Help in what concerns the generation of XML using SQL/XML

    I wrote the following SQL to generate a XML report. Tb_ken_lg_mstr of the table is the primary table of the workforce. Tb_ken_loans_base and tb_ken_cards_base tables are tables containing the cards and loans to sales by sales in tb_ken_lg_mstr people.

    The problems that I face, is that:

    1. even when there are sales people have not made a sale, that is, they have no documents tb_ken_cards_base and tb_ken_loans_base, yet their records are appearing the XML. I want to avoid this and only dirty people who have the list sales. A workaround is to use NOT EXISTS in the outer query more with tb_ken_lg_mstr. Is there a better way?

    Using NOT EXIST would be to do the scan of table twice. What I don't understand is why Oracle is picking up Sales_Codes missing in tb_ken_loans_base or tb_ken_cards_base, even if I do an inner join?

    You do not have an inner join, you only access TB_KEN_LG_MSTR in the main query.
    What you do in the SELECT part are scalar subqueries just on each of your tables of the child, who is unable to filter the main table in the first place.

    NOT EXISTS is indeed a solution, or consider doing all of the joins in the FROM clause, as I suggested above, like this:

    ...
    FROM TB_KEN_LG_MSTR c
         LEFT OUTER JOIN tb_ken_cards_base a ON a.sales_code = c.sales_code
         LEFT OUTER JOIN tb_ken_loans_base b ON b.sales_code = c.sales_code
    WHERE a.sales_code IS NOT NULL
    OR b.sales_code IS NOT NULL
    ...

    But then the subgroups becomes more difficult with this approach.

    Regarding the third question, how I format in Oracle? If not possible in Oracle then what other ways are?

    10.2, you can use this trick to format the output:

    SELECT xmlelement( ... ).extract('/*').getClobVal() FROM ...

  • Need to remove the tags file Nullable while generating XML files

    Hello.

    I have a requirement where I have to generate an XML file, but the generated XML file does not display the tags when the column is null. An example below:

    CREATE TABLE emp_tab (emp_id NUMBER PRIMARY KEY
    name VARCHAR2 (20).
    dept_id NUMBER);
    Table created.
    INSERT INTO emp_tab VALUES (30, 'Scott', NULL);
    1 line of creation.
    INSERT INTO emp_tab VALUES (31, 'Mary', NULL);
    1 line of creation.
    INSERT INTO emp_tab VALUES (40, 'John', NULL);
    1 line of creation.
    COMMIT;

    When I generate the XML code, you can find the output like below:
    < EMPLOYEE >
    < EMP_ID > 30 < / EMP_ID >
    Scott < NAME > < / NAME >
    < / EMPLOYEE >

    I just the Worklfow Developer's Guide and the example above was taken from Page 561 and 562 by looking at the DBMS_XMLGEN.setNullHandling using DBMS_XMLGEN procedure. DROP_NULLS as a parameter.

    Now, I understand the concept, but my requirement is a little different. I get a record as my procedure parameter PLSQL type, but requires the choice of a base table, which means maybe I have to insert first the folder I get as parameter in a table of basic and then select in the same when you set the context, which is what I don't want in the DBMS_XMLGEN.newContext. This is an additional burden.

    I've previously planned to use XMLELEMENT and XMLFOREST to generate the XML file (and was rather more simple), but this requirement to remove the tags altogether when the values are NULL led me to believe that maybe I might have to go down the path of using the API DBMS_XMLGEN.

    Can you suggest a better way, replacement to achieve what I want? Or perhaps give an example on how I can get there using XMLDB?

    Thank you and best regards,
    JD

    Can I use just the XMLElement and XMLForest to achieve?

    Sure. As said, XMLForest does not create elements for NULL values:

    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E11882_01/AppDev.112/e23094/xdb13gen.htm#ADXDB5006

    If the expression value is null, then no element is created for this expression.

    This is the code I wrote your above mentioned suggestion discussion forum

    Yes, but this solution is taken out of context.
    Here, it is obviously preferable to not generate empty items in the first place:

    SELECT XMLElement("Address"
           , XMLForest(
               lr_addr_rec.account_name     as "AccountName"
             , lr_addr_rec.address_line_1   as "Addressline1"
             , lr_addr_rec.lot_number       as "Addressline1"
             , lr_addr_rec.address_city     as "City"
             , lr_addr_rec.address_state    as "State"
             , lr_addr_rec.address_postcode as "PostCode"
             )
           )
    FROM dual;

  • Using "Exit IN. for Communication" at the exit just XML?

    Hello

    I'm redrawing the existing model of the XML editor used for the formatting of the PO and I was wondering if it was possible to get the output of a purchase order system .xml? I tried to change the output format of competing demand "PO output for Communication" to XML - but when it is run this again tries to generate a PDF file. Is there a way to get this XML output or this application stores its intermediate XML data in a temporary table?

    I go about it completely the wrong way?

    Any help to this much appreciated; I couldn't see anything on Metalink.

    Thank you
    Tim

    We do it:

    1. give the user Core Apps (which needs to be a buyer) to run concurrent demand "PO output for Communications.
    2. Once you have your purchase order, do not approve it_ - leave it as incomplete
    3. go in run a new query > PO output for Communication
    4. Enter the PO number and set: Print selection = gcnew, PO number = incomplete IN. you just created, Test = Debug
    5 the application
    6. in the end, the request will be error
    7. display the wrong job log
    8 do tools > print to open the newspaper in the browser
    9. scroll down until you find the tag. Start the copy from there (including this tag).
    10 stop the copy to the tag (just before begins...
    11 copy the selection
    12 paste the selection into a new text document, but put it in the first line:
    13. at the end of the text that you pasted in (last piece should say.
    14. manually type
    at the end of the text you pasted.
    15 save in an XML file.

    You can then use this XML to connect to XML Publisher...

    I have screenshots in a word doc if you would like to you.

    Of course, I'm also about 4 weeks late on this reply, then you've probably done the job and settled on something else now!

    EDIT: Sorry - just realised it's exactly the same thing as 364177.1 Note!

    What is the problem with case 3?

    OK, I've been messing around with codes generated a bit and found the solution. The problem is that the value of the XmlSchema namespace had error in package - info.java class. There is no specified XmlSchema namespace in the XML file. Thus, the given value in the package - info.java was wrong.

    @javax.xml.bind.annotation.XmlSchema (namespace = "http://www.example.org", value / / wrong, set it to an empty string or that of your xml file, if it has any)

    elementFormDefault =

    javax.xml.bind.annotation.XmlNsForm.QUALIFIED)

    package com.example.jaxbintro.xmlerror;

    After you set the namespace to the empty string, since my xml file do not have one, code ran very well.

    @javax.xml.bind.annotation.XmlSchema (namespace = "",)

    elementFormDefault =

    javax.xml.bind.annotation.XmlNsForm.QUALIFIED)

    package com.example.jaxbintro.xmlerror;

    The file package - info.java can also be removed and it will work. For more details on the package and XmlSchema annotated level, what information on the package class is for, be found in the following link.

  • date of reading of hurt to excel using the report generator tool kit

    Hello
    Im trying to read a date from an excel worksheet by using the report generator tool. I talked about this http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/01B026BEB54E3414862571B600618827 KB and it works... kind of.

    My dates are all read next 4 years and 1 day. Can't really understand why?

    Any ideas would be appreciated!

    Thank you
    David

    The format of the time in LabVIEW is distinguished by the time format in Excel. If you simply convert the timestamp cluster double
    and paste that data into Excel, it won't make sense. This is because the Excel format is based on the number of days
    Since January 1, 1900. The time of LabVIEW is based on the number of seconds elapsed since January 1, 1904. Converts this vi
    LabVIEW to Excel time time. reverses the logic of switch from excel to labview

  • My mind is wiped out. I'll put up pages in Photoshop 9.0 to be then placed in InDesign 4.0 for professional printing. Can you help me configure the proper color settings, and what PDF preset to use. And output parameters, etc. Thanx.

    My mind is wiped out. I'll implement the color pages in Photoshop 9.0 to be then placed in InDesign 4.0 for commercial printing in book form. Can you help me with the settings of color in Photoshop, that is to incorporate the color profile; convert in space work, Adobe RGB, etc. and which PDF preset to use, i.e. printing, PDF / X - 1 or 3, etc. Also, what I have to select the output settings such as the conversion of colors with the Destination or the printer deals with that. I know I asked a lot, so thanks in advance for any input or advice.

    Best regards, ScottyB34

    What are the settings of your printer wants? Some may deal with sRGB some want Adobe RGB Ctrl/Cmd-Shift-k in Photoshop, then choose North Amercian prepress 2

    He'll take care of the tags for you, or if sRGB is important, Norh American General Purpose 2.

    Here is a summary of the settings PDF and their meaning:

    When you are ready to create a PDF file from an application such as Illustrator or InDesign Adobe, we give you a list of the predefined PDF settings from which to choose. Well how do you decide which is the right choice? Well, let me explain what they do.

    Let's start with the smallest file size and the name of the type of the story. It is compatible with Acrobat 6, which means that anyone who has Reader or Acrobat 6 or above will be able to open the file. Now it converts everything in sRGB color which is a common space for color monitor.

    All RGB is truncated to sRGB, CMYK and spot colors also. So that means if you have a job to print, you can see some color shifts in this outgoing PDF. You must decide whether it is acceptable. He can't stand live transparency, not flattened. It downsize image content to 100 pixels per inch and this is part of how she made a reduced file size. It also uses aggressive JPEG compression of poor quality on the content of the image. So, you can see some of these rectangular JPEG artifacts.

    But it is how it gives you a reduced file size, and results are appropriate to be posted online or attached to an email.

    High quality printing has compatibility with Acrobat 5 and above. There is no color conversion. RGB RGB stays, rest spot, stays of CMYK CMYK spot and it supports live, not flattened transparency. It does not perform some downsampling to 300 pixels per inch. So, for example, if you placed an image which was 300 ppi and then set to scale up to 50 percent there actually a res then 600 pixels per inch.

    Well, this process would take half out these pixels. Therefore, it can create larger files but that makes it suitable for in the House of printing or sending Let's say a remote office if they want to print we tell cells leaves, or brochures, or something like. It's beautiful out on an internal printer.

    Print quality and high quality printing have similar names, so this may be a bit confusing, but print quality has compatibility with Acrobat 5 or higher. It converts the content of RGB to CMYK destination values according to what you specify as the destination.

    It is usually SWOP, S-W-O-p. It supports live, not flattened transparency. It performs the subsampling bicubic to 300 pixels per inch and because that it keeps at least 300 pixels per inch, which means that it can create some large files, but it is suitable for professional printing.

    Then we start to get into the presets named 'X '. 'X' is now for Exchange. They agree on specifications and the idea is to have a set of specifications if a PDF file is compliant to these specifications, we know it's going to be printable.

    We know that imaging devices are going to treat them properly. So this goes back to 2001, and which can seem a bit old, but bear with me. PDF/X-1 has a compatibility with Acrobat 4. I know, it sounds old. It converts RGB to CMYK content, it keeps the content of good tones. It flattens transparency. Downsize it at 300 pixels per inch. It can large enough crat files if you have large size images in your project and that it is suitable for professional printing.

    The idea behind X-1 is if you send a PDF file to an unknown printer, you do not know what are their capabilities, you send abroad, it will be able to be photographed on any device. No matter the age, it is, they can print. Over the years, the concepts of Exchange became more sophisticated the workflow and devices become more sophisticated.

    SP PDF / X-3: 2002, remains compatible with Acrobat 4 and that means that it flattens transparency, but it does not perform any color conversion.

    This means that it maintains RGB content, place remains in place, rest of CMYK CMYK. He still performed bicubic downsampling at 300 pixels per inch, and therefore, it can create large files. But this is suitable for commercial printing, if the printer signals you that it is present RGB content is correct.

    PDF / X-4: 2008 is compatible with Acrobat 7 and later. See, we're getting more modern. No color conversion. RGB RGB stays, stays CMYK CMYK, spot rest spot and it supports live, not flattened transparency.

    He still performs bicubic downsampling. Therefore, it can create large files because it maintains the pieces of the image to 300 pixels per inch or higher and it is suitable for commercial printing, as long as the printer tells you that RGB content is not serious and dynamic transparency is acceptable. Some older workflow does not support dynamic transparency, or they treat well, and that's why always ask. It is a special case in Illustrator, something called default Illustrator. Its compatibility is Acrobat 6 or higher.

    It does not perform the color conversion, everything continues like this. It supports transparency live, not flattened, and it also contains the original, editable Illustrator file in the PDF file. It preserves layers and it may be return, can be reopened safely in Illustrator and it's really the only PDF format you can do with safely. But it can create larger files, because you sort of two files for the price of one, they sometimes get huge.

    So what predefined PDF is Right For You? Well, if you want to send for printing, the first thing you should do is to ask your printer how they want the created PDF.

    They should be able to give you the plug for the creation of the PDF file. They may be able to give you job options files you can simply import and use as your preset target. But if it's a stranger the printer or the printer for some reason any said, well, I don't know, just make a PDF and this happens, well, choose the lowest common denominator to the PDF/X-1 test. Anyone can image that. If it is a more modern printer and up to date, especially if you send it to someone who uses digital presses, PDF/X-4 should be safe.

    I always go back to point one, ask the printer. If you send it as an attachment or you're going to post online, well, smaller size of file is a pretty clear choice. But remember this, you can start with one of these predefined parameters, and you can always edit it to customize your specific needs. So get to know the presets, understand the destiny of the PDF you create, and then make the best PDF that you can.

  • Remove the first line xml generated xml to VO

    I am combining multiple xml files to generate the report using BIPublisher. I generated xml based on a VO by using VO.writeXML. How can I remove first row (<? xml version = "1.0"? >) in the xml file?

    Use the transformer and setOutputProperty to omit the first line.

    Transformer transformer = TransformerFactory.newInstance () .newTransformer ();
    transformer.setOutputProperty (OutputKeys.OMIT_XML_DECLARATION, 'yes');

    You're right - no page element need! It took me a little bit, but I figured out how to get what I need from your example. The CSS that I use also includes: height of the line, font-size, border and width. I had serious performance problems until I removed the title of column sorting (unchecked all boxes). I added .csv and .pdf links, but they do not have the inline-block formatting so were of no use.

    Of course I learned a lot about the functioning of the reports and models. Thanks for sharing this info Paul - I appreciate it greatly.

    Although it may take several days. Note where they say + "I of course learn much about the workings of the reports and models." + is the most important: to understand the concepts and techniques involved and when and how they could / should be applied to meet the needs.
