The formidable problem of Connectivity Bluetooth in Windows Vista continues to baffle. Here's my story and the cry for help!

System:

Dell XPS M1530 - Windows Vista HP SP1

Device Manager:

Bluetooth radios
-Dell Truemobile 355 Bluetooth + EDR (driver 6.0.6001.18064, 21.06.2006)
-Microsoft Bluetooth enumerator (driver 6.0.6001.18064, 21.06.2006)

Other devices
-Device Bluetooth device
-Device Bluetooth device
-Device Bluetooth device
-Device Bluetooth device
-Device Bluetooth device

Additional information:

There are NO NOKIA SOFTWARE currently INSTALLED.  I had the version more up-to-date of Nokia PC Suite installed earlier today, but I uninstalled it to rule out it as the cause of the problem.

Objective:

To be able to connect my phone Nokia E50 in my XPS and synchronize etc...  It's a thing that I was able to do in the past (not sure how long ago), but now I'm having these problems.

Problem:

When I turn on my Bluetooth connection it starts to search for drivers of devices at random (see above).  He is unable to find the drivers for them and Windows problem reports & Solutions (WPRS) says that there is a problem with my Nokia cell phone.  However, as above, I uninstalled Nokia PC Suite and Nokia ALL entries from the list of programs in the control panel.

I'm also be prompted by WPRS to consult the Broadcom website for driver updated also, but surprise surprise their Bluetooth software upgrades are not available now.

I spent almost 3 hours to try to rectify this problem until today and I have tried at least four different solutions of various Web site, including this one.  From what I've read, it's an extremely widespread problem that seems to have no infallible solution, which is a bit ridiculous because it is only a problem of Bluetooth connection!

So my questions are:

1. Why is it I'm being invited to check the Nokia website when all of Nokia is uninstalled?
2. Why is it I'm being invited to visit the site of Broadcom also?
3. why my system tries to install five devices that do not exist whenever I power on Bluetooth?

I suspect that it is a problem of Microsoft or Dell but don't seem to be able to solve.  All my drivers in Device Manager are up to date (at least I said that when I try to update, although I'd like to think that there has been updates since 2006?) so unless there is some hidden updates on the wwweb somewhere that I can't find so I'm puzzled.

I know that people are probably sick of hearing about this problem, but it has not disappeared, so he needs to take care.

Thank you for reading!  Signing the Ireland...

Ronan:

Hello, Ronan,.

Thank you for visiting the website of Microsoft Windows Vista Community.

I would like to respond to three questions of your message:

1. Why is it I'm being invited to check the Nokia website when all of Nokia is uninstalled?

It is possible that your software Nokia my not completely uninstalled. There may be services or registry information left behind. You can download the following utility and uninstall completely.

Download the Windows Installer CleanUp tool to uninstall any remaining Nokia information.

Installation of the Windows Installer CleanUp tool:

Find the tool here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301

When you install the tool, you must be logged on as administrator of the machine.

After you download the ms1cuu2.exe on your desktop, you will need to right-click on it and select "Run as Administrator" and you will need run the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the start menu. It will be under programs and will be called "Windows Installer Clean Up.

2. Why is it I'm being invited to visit the site of Broadcom also?

Because Dell uses Broadcom, more than likely, you will be redirected there after installed Dell printer the standard utilities trying to solve this error message Bluetooth that happens.

3. why my system tries to install five devices that do not exist whenever I power on Bluetooth?

After you uninstall the Nokia Software completely, see if that solves the problem of device.

I would also recommend, contact your provider of cellular service to support more.

  • How can I get the product news/same key code to activate Windows Vista? Label on my computer is dispelled and Toshiba was no help.

Had the new hard drive installed on my computer, so now, two weeks later, the computer tells me that I need to activate Windows with the product key code.  The product key code label is too so I can't read the code.  I called Toshiba for a new or a replacement code, but they told me that I had to back up my hard drive and restore it to the factory settings.  I also tried to find the phone number of support following the instructions on the Microsoft Web site, but I don't get any options, that the instructions say I should.  My computer tells me too that my Windows is not genuine, and my screen and background images of screen saver does not work anymore.

Use a magnifying glass and a strong light and see if you can decipher the worn characters.  There is no trace of the key so if you do not you will need to follow the instructions of Toshiba for restoring your windows with the recovery disk.

    Hello

There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them to the proper key sequence.

And if you do not score a manufacturer of recovery on your hard drive, you should be able to make your own recovery from her disks to reinstall the operating system.

Go to programs > name of the manufacturer of your computer > then their system or recovery tools software topics for them, depending on how it is formulated.

If you can't find any reference to it, contact the manufacturer for advice on how to make these recovery disks

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

are you referring to the windows experience index?

If so this number is determined by the material that uses your computer

Make sure you have the latest vista drivers for your computer which you can get your computer manufacturers Web site

go to their website and look for a driver and software download section

Enter your model number for the last look drivers vista then download and install

If that improves not there you need to upgrade the hardware: map graphic or RAM

the total number is determined by the lowest number of material

  • Unable to connect bluetooth on Windows 7 headsets

on Windows XP 32 and 64 WinVista, I had no problem whatsoever to find connection and configuration of my bluetooth headset with my micro USB bluetooth adapter. all the drivers for the adapter and the helmets were found and installed by Windows Update. but not on Win7 64.

Win7 found the latest drivers for micro adapter and it seems to work fine. However, when I try to connect my bluetooth (Sony DR - BT100CX & Jabra your BT8010) helmet, they will be detected and identified, but Win7 cannot find the drivers. I get a window saying "software device driver has been properly installed.

now, I can only come to the conclusion that it is a matter of Win7 because everything still works just on my XP and Vista computers. None of my headphones came with a CD of drivers packed, nor not found drivers on their respective manufacturer sites, but it wasn't a problem with XP and Vista. anyone can shed some light on this? any help would be most appreciated.

Sorry for the late reply. 2 month flies by when you're overworked and underpaid ~ LOL ~

Anyway, here's the resolution that I found:

    Log on as administrator.

That's all. log on as an administrator to install the drivers correctly. even if your user account can be considered an admin account, it really didn't complete full access for Win7. I had similar problems while trying to install other drivers, but logging in as admin eliminated install questions completely. now, whenever I need to update drivers or install new programs, I always log admin to avoid any problem, that it is =)

It was the fastest way I've found to access the admin account:

    1) click Start

    (2) in the search bar, type in cmd and run

    (3) type net user administrator / Active: Yes

    (4) restart your computer

    (5) once the loads of the Welcome screen, the administrator account will be available for access alongside other user accounts

the first thing we do is to create a password, then go ahead and install all drivers and programs you want.

to hide the admin account again, just repeat the steps 1 to 4, except in step 3 change/ active: yes/active: Yes to / active: No.. Once you restart your computer the admin account will not be on the Welcome screen.

Thanks again guys, and I hope this helps others solve their problems =)

  • Windows Vista continues to try to connect to the VirtualProfile in network connections.

I was helping my brother set up its new Netgear Wireless USB adapter in Windows Vista and kept running into the same problem.  Once the adapter has been installed, Vista would continue to try to connect to a VirtualProfile under network connections which would interfere with the connection of the profile.  I had my brother take the VirtualProfile and then it connected correctly.  However, after each reboot, the connection of VirtualProfile appears every time and we need to start over the process.  A way to remove this VirtualProfile permanently and why what is happening?  Thanks for any input.

    Hello Flash4,

Thank you for choosing Microsoft answers forum for Windows Vista.

I suggest you go to your network card making and download / install the latest drivers.

Also I suggest that you check your system for corrupted files. You use the tool (SFC.exe) System File Checker to check and repair corrupt system files. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. open an elevated command prompt.

    2. to do this, click Start, click programs, accessories principally made, right-click Guest, and then click Run as administrator.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.

    3. type the following command and press ENTER:

    sfc/scannow

The sfc/scannow command. analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

    Hope this information is useful.

    Thank you.

  • Problem with internet connection 64-bit Windows Vista, unexplained intermittent failure.

original title: PROBLEM CONNECTING WINDOWS VISTA 64 BIT INTERNET - UNEXPLAINED INTERMITTENT OUTAGES

On HP a6542p PC with factory installed Windows Vista (64-bit), Vista operating system program does not take account of Internet broadband, which, in reality, a good connection.  for the first 2 years of operation, the PC internet connection worked well, but a year ago, he started this OFF intermittent / WE internet problem.  SOMETIMES, I can manage to temporarily restore the internet after running randomly across the machine diagnostic & installation programs available to the home screen, OR SOMETIMES also after running REGEDIT in the start (search) bar and watching the TCP/IP settings (do not change them, just watch), but the internet connection drops again after the machine is idle for a few minutes.  I get very tired of the exercise Dog & Pony to run through the different random procedures & hoping that something will work.  I tried the fix from Microsoft using a flashdrive D/L from the Windows site to my XP machine and tried a few manual corrections proposed on various websites, but nothing seems to work.  I have no HP manufacturer disk to reload the Vista operating system.  The connection is good, the cable is good, but Vista gives me contradictory information about the diagnosis, such as ERROR 815, and he tells me also a cable is disconnected (not true, the cable is plugged & good & works very well when the Vista connection is restored), while another diagnostic message indicates the internet connection is good, at the same time other messages say is not.   What can I do to fix this problem in Vista?  Personal e-mail is: * address email is removed from the privacy * -I will check that URL of Web site for the possible answer.    Thanks in advance.

Imrand - Thanks for the tip, I tried it & it didn't work.  However, I found an update of the HP driver for the network card Realtek in my machine, & after d/l this new driver, the problem seems to be fixed.  The Web connection is still good after several cycles of closing & reboot.  I'm not sure, because with this HP Vista PC, I can never be sure of anything, but I think the problem might be due to the rotating system off the NETWORK adapter in sleep mode, & so not put on when waking up.  Diagnostics messages confused and contradictory pages of different screen Windows were of NO use, it looks like the internet connection was good (which it was), while the other would be at the same time say there is no connection due to the disconnection of the cable, while the other at the same time say that the DNS server broadband couldn't recognize my internet query.  Total BS of Vista, which has compounded the problem than he was.  I only am not surprised Microsoft abandoned the Vista operating system so fast, so many other users of Vista have similar internet connection problems.  The user friendly and very stable XP operating system I have on an old PC of Insignia is my favorite.  Microsoft had to quit with it, IMO.

    Thanks for your help, Cimarron

  • Cannot re - install the Bluetooth on Windows vista 64-bit - Satellite A305

I'm having a problem with my bluetooth to my new computer Toshiba A305-S6843.

He runs the 64-bit version of Vista.

The machine used version 6.10.02T build 20080128 on it, but the bluetooth radio would not allow. The device has been recognized in the Device Manager, but the mistake I'd get was "Bluetooth is not ready" when I clicked on ACTIVATE.

So, I tried to install the latest version of the software on your downloads page . "TOSHIBA Bluetooth Stack 6.10.10 (T).

When it unpacks and starts to install. The error I get is: "the operating system is not adequate for running on Toshiba bluetooth stack" and fails. »

When I try to reinstall the old version "6.10.02T Build 20080128" - I get an error "1155" and that's all.

Now, I can't reinstall any battery Bluetooth to operate.

    Help, please

You probably downloaded the x 32 version instead of the x 64 one. Download the x 64 version and try again.

  • Problems in using a DOS Windows Vista program

I hope someone can help me with this.  I currently have a HP Compaq Presario F700 computer laptop (GR967UA #ABA) which has a processor bicoeur AMD Athlon 64 X 2 (TK - 55 1.80 GHz).  I have 1.0 Gig of RAM, and it's a 32 bit OS.  I am running Windows Vista Home Premium, Service Pack 1.  My problem is the following:

I installed a program of production/printing barcode Dynacomp, a MS-DOS program that told me the company is compatible with and would work on Windows Vista operating system.  I can get the program to operate in all directions except for actually photograph the barcode.  When I try to do, all I get is an error message indicating "device PRN of spelling error".  I checked the connections to printers, operation and have no problem printing with something else.

I'm not a user of BACK and just the most basic familiarity with its use, for example. If there is no step by step instructions, I'm lost.  Any ideas on why printing is a problem or if all goes well a few ideas on fixing or working around the issue would be greatly appreciated.

This is JUST A GUESS, but I assume that the program tries to write about the default printer... know LPT1, which is a device of parallel port... which YOU probably do not even!  This thread seems to discuss your problem: http://www.annoyances.org/exec/forum/winxp/t1018027328 (Google: BACK set default printer).  Technically, their program MAY work in Vista, command prompt, but maybe ONLY when the computer has a parallel port LPT1 printer is connected.  You need to talk to Dynacomp and ask them what to do to address setting up YOUR printer.  If you Google long enough, you'll probably find the answer yourself... There are VERY FEW problems, that no one else has not met before (you), and they are kind enough to document their journey
