As the example below, I question what is the measure of the value "Waiting" in the section "event wait" AWR report?

Because "Expected" the value is high, but "Queue time Total (s)" is low. example "SQL * Net message from dblink the" a 30 115 "expected' but 'Queue time Total (s)' lower 'DB file scattered read' w 28 659 'wait '.

    Hi all

As the example below, I question what is the measure of the value "Waiting" in the section "event wait" AWR report?

It is simply a... count the number of times where the system had to "WAIT" on the specified event.

Because "Expected" the value is high, but "Queue time Total (s)" is low. example "SQL * Net message from dblink the" a 30 115 "expected' but 'Queue time Total (s)' lower 'DB file scattered read' w 28 659 'wait '.

Watch "AVG time-out.    In one case, there are fewer occurrences of the event, but the average wait by event time was higher.

If I buy 3 burgers and pay $1000 each

or I buy 500 burgers and pay $1.00 each.

Why 3 hamburgers cost more than 500 burgers?

Could you please explain more about the value "waiting"?

"Waiting" is the number of times that the system had to wait for the named event, during the sampling period.

"Total wait time" is the total time (measured in seconds) spent waiting on all occurrences of the specified event, during the sampling period.

"Avg" wait"is the time (expressed in milliseconds) means spent on each occurrence of the specified event, during the sampling period.

It seems pretty obvious.  You count how many times it happens something (wait), you measure it, time spent doing this something fracture (total wait time) and tells you the total time spent (total wait time) by the number of times it happened (waits) to find out the average time spent on each occurrence of that something.

    Hello

These aren't the paintings, these are views (based on tables WRH$). The very probable explanations why they are empty, it's that the work of AWR snapshot does not work to your system.

    Use exec dbms_workload_repository.modify_snapshot_settings to configure.

  • that means the great value of 'Call' recursive % in AWR report?

    Hi all.

I saw "call recursive %: 85%" supported the section profile an awr report.
--> This could be a problem?
--> otherwise, depends on the type of application?

    ---

    From my understanding,.

    1. the client calls-> calls DBMS user
2 recursive calls-> calls for DBMS internal, such as the process of background, function or procedures.

    ---

I would like to hear about your experience.

    Thanks in advance.
    Best regards.

a recursive call is a call, for example, which must be completed before the user SQL can be completed.

Read this to understand what I mean:

  • How can I add a footer to the main section that will not get push off-page?

    Generator 10.1.2.2.0
    ORACLE Server Release 10.1.0.5.0
    Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.8.0 - 64 bit Production

    Hi all

I want to add a footer frame in the main section of a report that will not get pushed off the page by an extensible framework above it, which can develop vertically, but will still allow the extensible framework continue on the next page (and print another foot on this page as well. I paint a blank on how to do it with anchor or frameworks encompassing etc points.

Extend the extensible framework until the footer frame. Change the elasticity vertical expandable framework to contract or fixed. In this case, pull-out frame will be printed until the foot of the page and will then continue on the next page.

    I hope this helps.

  • The AWR report.

I received a task to read the AWR report, what do I really see in the AWR report? The report I got is 11Hours where they have a lot of data migrations. I know how to take AWR report, but I'm not really sure. What I find in report AWR to ensure that the database performs well during the migration.

An AWR report has a ton of information - covering how read all sections (and then how to answer) would mean at least a book.

Level the most basic, however, you want to probably take a look at the events of top 5 waiting to see that the database is waiting, the time of database is average time spent vs in the header to see how busy the database, and the various statements of Top SQL by x to see the SQL statements are represented the majority of the database is waiting to see what statements could be tuned to improve performance.

12 Firefox does not get beyond the crash report. This is a second account (standard). However, it works very well on a third party, as well as on the main one admin account. I reinstalled Firefox, disc repaired permissions and so on, but nothing helped. For the second account .plist file could be damaged? I can't remove it because of permissions so cannot test this. • How can I include results of a subsequence, which takes place in a new thread in the test report from the main sequence

    Hello!

I have ", working with the Version 4.2.1 of TestStand. I have a main sequence, which sous-séquences of different calkls. All these steps are reported correctly. One of the subsequences works like "new thread". How can I include his results in the common test report of the main sequence?

I have variable markes of the subsequence as is required for the test report (it works OK if it's not a new thread). If the digital test, which is performed in this subsequence is correct, I get no results at all. If the digital test could not get a "message in red" who whithout having failed to test any reference to step somewhere in the report of the main sequence or values of vaiables that were not correct.

I tried an option 'on the fly' in the Configuration of the report, but n ' got no useful result. What should I do?

    Best regards

    Hello Pericles,

You can use a queue time for the results of the wire once it ends. Place a waiting time after the call to the thread in your MainSequence at the location where you want the results to add to the report (compared to other results). In the waiting step Setup tab, select wait: Thread the threaded sequence, and then select call to specify sequence call the radio button. You can also use an object reference if you need results if poster somewhere where elsewhere - you would just add an object reference to the appeal of sequence threaded in its thread settings dialog box.

    I hope this helps.

  • Using c# to check if the main report contains a sub report in the Crystal Reports Viewer

    Hello

I currently have a web form application, which displays a crystal report already created using the crystal reports Viewer. In this report, the format is a few pages of the main report, followed by a few pages of the report of void. However, when the user first opens the application, all they see is the main report. Unless they click on the subpage of report the report viewer do not recognize as one of void, even if the user is on the page of report of void.

I was wondering if there are ways to use the c# code to check if some pages of the main report contains a report without user sup a goes through each page of the report?

Thanks a lot for your help!

  • How do I know that the event log are reported to any server

    Hello

I can see all the event logs and error logs using the event viewer. But I want to know if newspapers are reported to some server just we report about a bug or non-response to application/software using the reporting window.
I want to check if the event errors are reported on some server or not, if yes, to which server it is reported. Is this possible?
The observer of events, or any application in the windows operating system keeps track of these reported error logs.

    Hello

As mentioned by Palcouk, Event Viewer records all events and activities on your computer but does not send it to any server. The call you have received is wrong / will call that could come from a potential hacker.

Points of view takes only those albums n intenstive SQL Statistics on resources?

I ask this because I have a doubt. Let's say that on 18/03/2014, I detected a long SQL with sql id xxx.

Using SQLT (such method), I can only see the historical performance of Plan (delta) for this particular SQLs 16/03, 17/03, 18/03.

In this case, we can say that the SQLs shot only 3 days for the last 30 days? Or it can also mean that the particular SQL was not classfified at the top of the page resource n intensive 18/02 to 15/03 SQLs (probably use a better plan - for example: plan a different value)?
