  You can place an ApplicationMenuItem on the program of Messages, but I don't think that's what you're looking for.

  Do not confuse the Windows 8 with Outlook e-mail application. Mail applications and people are VERY BASIC programs.

  If you want more sophistication (such as groups) then you must install one of the free e-mail like Windows Live Mail or Mozilla Thunderbird'sclients.
