  I am faced with a dilemma. I'm on a project where the planning is being installed. MS Excel SmartView is the main interface to the user for forms and reports.   In the world you can make changes in the Jconsole mbeans to open any report EN PDF default is htm (if you have version 11.1.2.1). To change the settings try below:

  To connect to the web server EN
  Run FRconfig.cmd in the Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\products\financialreporting\bin folder.

  Above is open J console click mbeans (last tab)

  Expand .comhyperion click on change the attributes on the side left there is a single parameter called com.hyperion.reporting.HRPrefs.viewtype by default is html to PDF

  Close jconsole mbeans and restart web FR.

  Captivate is not really designed to do what you want in this forum.  It is more targeted to allow a user to perform an assessment and then follow whether or not they were here.  So it has really set up to send information in a format that the LMS will understand and interpret as Pass/CNET and what the score was.

  You really need something more flexible than that. So I think you would need to involve a programmer and have the solution custom made.  From my experience, whenever you try to dismiss what Captivate, it was designed to do and you need to involve the other professionals, you can kiss thousands of dollars goodbye before you have a viable solution.

  I have a report with an Essbase database connection HFR. In my ranks is the cost center dimension, and I used the IDESC relationship at the top level combined with the deletion on lack of blocks and missing data. When a user tries to back up the report, repression does not work and for each displayed cost center a long random number appears as a value despite not having user does not have access to these cost centers. The same long string appears (e.g. 179,769,313,486,231,550,000,000,000,000...) for each cost center that the user doesn't have access to.

  Looks like the same bug I've seen in the past-

  9070412 if no filter access is enabled in Essbase, when you select a member to which the user has no access, a long series of numbers appears instead of #MISSING in the cells of data in the report financial information in HTML or PDF format found in the workspace.

  If it is 11.1.2.x, then FRlogging.log file should have little information. The Bi + usage tracking records not any act done with report FR. play with the level of logging for EN could give detailed information in the log file.

  Let's say there are 3 products, product A, B and C, each has its own point of level 0 (for example, A1, A2, B1, C1)
  
  Currently in my situation, user will be prompted to select a list of products, and then the report will only show the level 0 of the product selected by the user. For example, the user select product has, then the report (or grid) displays A1 and A2 on the ranks. The user select product B, B1 will be displayed.
  
  My question is, I want to create a dynamic header report, so how can I get this prompt value and use it as a report header? For example: sale of product when the user choose the product, or sales of product B when the user choose produced B.

  Here's the way to do this:
  1 insert a line (can be in line 1) in the report that produced as 'ask the user.
  2 always mark this as hidden line
  3. the user other lines like Level0 of product online 1
  4 use MEMBERALIAS in the header to use the product as dimension & row as row1

• Error in the export of interactive report in PDF format

  I use the APEX and an interactive report, trying to export using download | PDF format. The table and the corresponding report includes only text fields. Database character set is UTF-8. So far I have not been able to get a PDF file that can be opened in Adobe Acrobat Reader. Each file fails with message as "Adobe Reader could not open nomdefichier.pdf, because it is not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an attachment to e-mail and has not been correctly decoded). This happens for every report I've tried so far. If I export the report to CSV format, all are ok.

  Do you have a printer (Bi Publisher or FOP/Cocoon) server configuration? If not, then you will NOT be able to generate a PDF file...

  I use Acrobat Professional XI and 2013 of PowerPoint in Windows 8.

  I have two PowerPoint slides. A slide is a filled circle. Another slide has an another full cirlce that is rotated 45 degrees. When I convert the PowerPoint presentation with the two slides in PDF format, the circle that is rotated 45 degrees does not appear in the PDF. This is true for all circles in rotation by a factor of 45 degrees with the exception of the circles that are factors of 90 degrees.

  Does anyone else have the same experience? Is this a bug in Acrobat?

  It may very well be because when you perform a save as > PDF, it works. I introduce this behavior of the featurerequest/bug report form.

  But basically when you save the file, you can select the format.  In the drop down next to Format: select JPEG or any other file format you want.

  To set this as a default use the Edit option in presets to create a new or edit and existing preset.
