the song shortened when burned to CD

I copied songs from an album of LP long so that I can burn it to CD.  There are 21 songs on the album.  21 of them play fine in Media Player (Version 11), Windows XP.  20 of them play on the CD of the final product.

A song, which is about 4 minutes on Media Player, is about 45 seconds at the end of a few CD and go to the next song.

I went back to the playlist, and the song is not yet fully.

No idea what I could do wrong?

Thank you.

Hi Larry Colby KS,.

While ripping the songs, this song in particular could have been corrupted, or it would have not copied correctly. I suggest you try to destroy this song on a different CD and check if it works.

  • Pavilion DV6: Loud hum of the hard drive when burning CD

Recently, I noticed that my laptop makes a fairly loud "buzzing" or "vibrant" sound. I encountered this problem recently when I tried to burn an audio CD. I've read about this problem on other forums of which most, explain that the cause could be due to the type of disc. I have this problem when I read from a disk. This problem could lead to the type of disc that I use?

    Hello:

It has been my experience throughout my laptop and deskop PC DVD burners do the same racket when it burns CD / DVD, but not when it reads them as well.

I don't think it's something to worry about.

When burning a disc, a much more strain is placed on material that when reading a disc.

I use Memorex or Verbatim quality disc too, and readers always sound as you said.

One of the burners of my desktop PC is so loud, it begins to vibrate the case and I have to give him a rap on the side for the case of vibrate with the burner in the quiet.

  • Why Windows Media Player plays the song wrong when I click it in a playlist?

I did a huge selection automatically (with 145 songs) with five-star is Windows Media Player 12 in Windows 7 on my Dell XPS L702X.

So, let's say that I want to hear "Everybody Hurts [edit]" r.e.m. I click on n, it starts WMP play "Slips through my fingers" by Agneta Fältskog!
He plays another song which is 24 positions above!
At first, it used only for touch me when I was sorting the songs in the playlist by Genre, Album, year, etc... But now, even with the contributing artist, he played another song!
The only way for her to play the song I want is with some navigation arrow keys or when I clicked on the playlist and I'd get a unsorted list. With the unsorted list, I find the song.
It's a difficult problem, but I have a temporary solution. But please try to find an answer!
EDIT: now at random. Unsorted perspective will give me wrong songs and the artist's view contributing sort will give me good music! What a mix! Say that it is a "re - Mix"!

  • Windows Media Player only recognizes the song titles when they are imported from itunes, imported in the form of wav files.

Hi, I imported/ripped music in form of wav files using WMP first and imported into itunes so that I can sync w / my ipod but itunes recognized only the first words of the music info (generally the number of song, title, ect). ITunes would allow me to change the info. So I decided to import my 7 000 more songs again using itunes, in the hope of finding the songs via watched folders to WMP. Well, that was the case, but he only identified the song number and the title. Now, I have a long list of other/unknown.

I can get information in WMP via "Find album information", one song at a time, but that would take forever. I imported 318 songs to date. I use wav files to maintain the quality of the sound.  Can someone tell me an easier way?

  • Manufacturing recovery disks when the computer hangs when burning the DVD the first time

I bought a new desktop computer HP Desktop Core I-7.  When I first connected, I started to burn the recovery disks.  The problem is, the first burned disc and then the computer locked up before burning DVD 2 and 3 and had to be restarted.  Now, I can't complete the game of recovery disks.

The good news is that I have used the first disc to access the recovery partition on the hard disk to rebuild everything, but now I did put a good recovery.  Can I fix?  Or do I have to hope that my drive will never block?  Can I save the partition of subsequent restoration of a hard disk crash?

I burned a CD on iTunes, but the labelling of the songs is incorrect.  I deleted the playlist from iTunes and make a new burn a new CD, but it does the same thing.  Is there a way to fix this? The CD I'm burning was not purchased from iTunes.

    Thought,

From your description, I think you're talking about ripping, not burning, correct?

When the CD is inserted, iTunes retrieves a "best estimate" track of the Gracenote database information.  If information is missing or incorrect, you can fix it via right click, get information on the track (s) concerned.  Make the corrections before the investigation period, and then the imported tracks will go into iTunes with the correct tags.

  • How can I get rid of the gap of 1-2 seconds between the song when I go to burn a CD with WMP

How can I get rid of the gap dry. 1-2 between the song when I go to burn to a CD.

You don't say what version of Windows you are using, so these instructions refer to Windows Media Player 12 in Windows 7.

    1 open Windows Media Player.

    2. click on organize , then Options of the burn tab.

    3. check the box for CD burning without gaps , and then click OK.

I believe that not all CD/DVD burners can burn without gaps however.

  • When I burn CD for my use on the computer, sometimes the order of the songs are returned, starting with the last song first.

    * Original title: Windows Media player

When I burn CD for my use on the computer, sometimes the order of the songs are returned, starting with the last song first.  This is the CD, or I do something wrong?  This isn't an ongoing problem... most of the time it's ok.  Can I change the order manually. If Yes, where and how.

    Thank you

    Lee

Lee - there are a number of possibilities. First of all, it depends whether you burn audio disks or data - if they are audio discs, you can check and rearrange the order of songs in the burn list - if necessary - before you start burning. If you drag multiple files to the burn list quite often the last track you clicked on will go upward, so I wonder if it is what can happen. Back with a little more detail if I not quite correctly interpreted the problem. Best regards, Ric.

  • How to get the titles on the playlist of transfer when burning a disc

A problem with iTunes and CD burning help (my operating system is Windows 10 and my iTunes version is 12.3.2). I make a compilation CD of my CD collection from and downloaded the entire collection in iTunes. The problem I encountered is that sometimes when I burn a playlist I made, the track listing of the individual songs on the burned CD shows the name of the song and the band, but sometimes it shows a list of the track numbers and the message "iTunes cannot find that these track names on the internet." All the files in my iTunes library have a complete follow-up of the lists. There seems to be no difference between the playlists where securities are transferred, and those where they don't. All of the ideas is what is the problem and how to solve? A lot of deep gratitude

    Maplagem,

The titles are not actually on the CD.  However, under certain conditions, iTunes on the same computer will recognize the CD:

    "How iTunes remembers audio CD.

    http://support.Apple.com/kb/HT3814

If you want to than another computer iTunes recognize it, you must submit the information to Gracenote as follows: with the CD burned again in the player and the names of the tracks properly displayed, use the command Options > submit CD track names.

Gracenote may take a day or two to digest the info, but after that all iTunes in the world will recognize the traces on your compiling.

  • CD player burn one song stops, it burned about 6 songs the first time, I tried a lot of things without success.

    Background information:

    Laptop Lenovo W500

    Operating system Windows 7 (64-bit)

    Office 2010

    Media Player 12

    Optical CD Matshita UJ862A

    Blank CD Memorex = "music" CD - R, 40 x, 700MB, 80 min

file types .m4a (bought classical music to ITunes)

optical CD driver = Microsoft 6.1.7601.17514

    History:

Bought a CD of classical music of 50 song on ITunes.

I went to Staples, found a young guy (I'm thinking they know best), told him I want to burn music, this CD is the best.  He suggested the memorex, and the said format of CD - R, that's what you want.  Went home, put a white, copied 6 pieces of the songs on the album, opportunity MediaPlayer, put them in the burn list, start burn, every 6 worked.  Tried the CD that I just did in the boom box and car, played very well.

Later the same night, tried to copy over the same album, 7 on another drive (same set of discs), same Media Player, same process.  1 song was burned and arrested.  This CD plays in the boom box.

Has made a hot start, I tried same thing again once, burned a song, stopped.  Tried that disc in the boom box and it displayed "DISC" (which is boom box for "I can't read this").  He put in the D drive on the laptop to see if I could re - record, launched back out and says something like (insert a disc).

Of course, that ruin discs.  After about 6 more ruined disks (same thing more than once), I did research and put implement what I learned.  It is:

    • Windows updates (says my MediaPlayer is up-to-date)
    • remove the upper and lower filter filter records
    • a lot of hot and cold boots boots
    • experienced burning is always set to "audio CD" and selected 'slow' to burn speed.
    • bought Roxio Easy CD (does not work, said it not m4a)
    • bought a kit cleaning optical CD, he ran several times.
    • called Panasonic (Matshita manufacturers). They said call Lenovo (has not yet called Lenovo)

After all this, same thing, over and over again.  I've ruined most of the CD packaging.   I never got an error or warning throughout this nightmare messages.

I am 'chicken' when it comes to download free software (I'm phobic about viruses), so I did not download all the MediaPlayers there because I don't seem to find the download of the MediaPlayer software on the genuine Microsoft site (I thought I could try to uninstall 12 MediaPlayer, and then put it back - but have not yet done this).  I could buy a new optical drive to replace the Matshita supplied with my notebook, but it seems like a waste because this one now plays well, don't file uploads/copy of data, good reading.  Recently, I have loaded software pretty intense to the laptop off disks - worked well.  I see nothing in the properties of these files of classical music tab all content protected or protected against copying.

I am really puzzled.  Ideas?  Never heard of something like that?  Why the degradation of the burning of 6, 1 vote against zero in just a few hours?  Honestly can't thing of something that has changed (same laptop, office, same son, did not move the laptop, does not threaten the laptop - same temperature in the room, package of discs did not leave the office - all normal conditions).

    Thank you

    Tom

"I go to the boom box and my car - no sound, just silence.  No warning or text on each screen and no sound at all.  I thought m4a was supposed to play on most of the people - do not believe. »

Hi Tom - looks may have answered your question! I thought you had a problem with the creation of an audio disc, and if it IS what you want then the files need to be converted (for burning audio tracks also). I have not tried to burn a cd using iTunes platform (because I don't use CD much these days except in the car) so I'll give it a go. I have no personal experience of Boombox, but a (very short) research suggests that the mp3 is ok but not m4a. Thus, it seems that the incompatibility is here question.

I'll look again, the burner in iTunes and then come back with a few other options for you.
