My question is how can I prevent an end of line, back being inserted when I wrap a word in an element, specifically an element 'indxflag '? I use structured FM 7.0.

The screenshot shows 3 things here - part of my document in a window of FM (with the indexed word pointed out), the display of the structure of this document, as well as the definition of element indxflag in ESD.

With the DTD I use, to create an index I wrap words in an indxflag element. My problem is whenever I do that it inserts a hard return (return of paragraph, press the Enter key, call it what you want). How can I prevent that (return) from happening because that obviously when I print to the PDF format (or paper) I'm starting paragraphs where I don't want them.

Van, you could be right, I hope that Carl stops new and clarify. What I suspected, it is that it uses a sort of post processing with XML system for clues, don't use do not items to index in FrameMaker. I based on this statement:

Certainly, without a plugin or a FrameScript, there's no way to optimize the structural markup to create an index of the image. It would be a powerful addition to PAO of the framework functions if an index can be built using markup. Someone has to write a plugin.

Inserting Image mystery using the attribute in the structured element

I work in FM10 on Windows XP Pro. However, the models at the company where I am currently Contracting have been developed over the years, since the FM 7 or 8, with different authors and developers to refine their. Which makes them difficult to decipher at times.
Currently, I'm trying to understand how elements of the notes works so I can fix it to work when you bind the FM source files to RoboHelp. When you click on the 'Note' parent element, you can choose from four different attributes (as shown below for ESD): note, tip, caution and warning.
When you choose one of these attributes, it automatically inserts a graphic symbol (exclamation point, star, pencil, etc.). You then choose the next child element that creates a paragraph directly to the right of the graphic symbol.
The problem is, I can't understand where this chart comes in the parent element and associated attributes. I thought it must be extracted from the style of paragraph, either as an image of the reference page and or symbols of the numbering of the paragraph Designer section. But I'm not either of those things anywhere. For what it's worth, the graphics look like they come from a police (see screenshot).
The word "note" comes to the next child element and the associated paragraph style, it is designated in the numbering/AutoNumber Format: box with an associated font. The lines above and below it are similarly advanced/Frame Above / Below the FMP: setting. All this is quite easy; the attribute image... not so much.
Can anyone tell me please where to hunt for the source of this image attribute insertion?

I think I thought about it, although I can't prove it, but my inability to prove it is maybe the evidence itself. I know this is no logic, so please read on...

In summary, I think that the images are caused by prefixes text inserted by ESD for the element, using the Zapfdingbats font.

There are a whole bunch of prefixes text in there, but most use the Zapfdingbats font. This font is just a bunch of small icons as pencil your screenshot shows the image. For example, the line:

.. .will be insert a tab, then a slash in Zapfdingbats. I bet that if you apply Zapfdingbats to one of you to the paragraphs, and then type a forward slash, you will get one of those pictures you've been see.

The evidence would be to change these characters in the prefix rules and see if the images change. Because I have not the police, I can't do it. But because I can't do, it proves to me that the source is indeed the police and the prefix characters. Make sense now?

My move slider to the other lines and paragraphs and letters when typing e-mails and do their homework.

As a first step, if you see letters where they aren't suppose to be, I'll put this word in brackets. If you don't see everything, it happens sometimes. I've had this laptop for 18 months. Motherboard has been replaced three times. Cursor and letters move to other lines and paragraphs themselves. This problem is annoying, especially when I do the assignments in class. Is their a fix for this problem, or what?

Your laptop has a touchpad? Chances are good that you are accidentally in touch with her all by tapping and activating the latter and that moves the cursor (and before you notice it, you typed a letter whenever the cursor moves towards). This happened to me until I bought a separate mouse and disable the touchpad - then the problem has disappeared.

Some touchpad controls (usually located under the start menu / control panel / mouse have commands to disable the touchpad while typing.) See if that is the case with yours and if so, activate the function, and it can be useful. If you do not have the service contact the computer manufacturer to obtain the latest device drivers touchpad and install (and update the drivers for the keyboard while you're there just in case it is the source of the problem, but I think it is the touchpad) - they contain the function as an upgrade. Go to the Device Manager by going to start / find and type Device Manager and enter and then double-click on the program icon that appears. Check each device to a red x, yellow! or white? These identify devices with problems probably (drivers, but also of conflict or something else). Click on each for more details and troubleshooting tips. If you need to get drivers (and you do it for your keyboard and touchpad), get the computer dealer or the manufacturer of the device (NOT of Microsoft Updates). When you create a new topic, then you can choose the css you want to apply to the default subject.

New dialog box is a named 'appearance' tab where you can choose the default css to apply. Next time that you create the topic, this newly selected css will be applied by default.

Just at the moment where everything was fine, something fatal happened. I use a mixture of files MOD (Panasonic cameras) and AVI (mini camera Cannon Digital Video) files and everything went well with the Assembly until yesterday.
The problem is that the program (first Elements 7) thinks that my media is online, but is not offline. When I try to connect again, the option "Find media" gives the following error: "the selected file cannot be bound because its type (video) does not match the type of original (audio and video) file."
I can't go there.
When I try to play the other MOD files in my library, I have no sound. When I try to play the MOD file with another program, everything works fine.
Now I'm stuck. I can't get the first Elements 7 to recognize one of my MOD files. It worked for months, but this has me at a dead stop.
Last night, I ran the disk Setup Repair Option and program started working again - but it was time for bed, then I stopped for the night. Tonight, the problem is back and can not be repaired.
I'm stuck in a big way. My deadline for a video of the party is Christmas, but I can't go forward.
Please help me. I don't know how to solve this problem.

The problem started at halfway through the process of editing last night. No Windows Update has been installed.

If you have the entire window full automatic update (default), there are to many OS updates that will download and install, and the user never know thereon, unless they require a reboot. Many do not. I downloaded just manually full updates of Office, as well as four new patches for XP - Pro, and none has required a reboot. Unless you changed the default, these things can download and installed without the user knowing never.

But back to my hypothesis. This could be a corrupted file? If so, how can I determine the guilty file?

The only way to get a bad would be systematically eliminate assets, test along the way.

What is the link for your outside? USB external references have been known to have serious problems of read/write. I look in my event viewer and look for warning messages or no error. Look especially closely in links in everything from errors of pilot, nor delayed write errors. That link is to the external USB.

I have not met, nor have I read of these issues with FW, 400 or 800.

Modify a calendar on the pre element and it disappears from Google Calendar

Whenever I edit an appointment on my pre, it disappears from my Google Calendar. This can be replicated every time and I saw that he reported by others on precentral.
