  I'm developing an application using VB 2005 which measures two 8-bit or 16-bit image files. When I saw the picture, I find that I have to set the type of image the image buffer before playback of the image in it. For example, if I read a 16-bit image in a buffer of 8 bits, the image is truncated. I guess I could read the image in a 16-bit buffer and retype it if the pixel values are less than 255.

  Is there a better way to do it? Can I determine the number of bits of an image before loading in a buffer?

  Olivia is incorrect... VDM has a function called GetFileInfo which does just what you want. It only reads the header of the image but does not load the entire image in memory. It will give you various properties such as the bit depth.

  I think that on the new .NET support, there can exist here: NationalInstruments.Vision.Analysis.Algorithms.GetFileInformation.

  Thanks to the ICB and our legacy of .NET support, it's probably a similar name.

  In general, they will accept the image in the format, that it was taken (if it was taken by the majority of cameras or cell phones).  But if so, you have a few options.

  The most simple and integrated solution is Microsoft Paint.  Yes it is from the 1980s, but it still works and changes of a good job for a time.  Just to right click on the photo file, choose open with and choose paint.  Then go to file > save as and save this return as the file type you want it to be (like PNG or BMP or JPG, quality declining in the JPG option).

  If you need more options like changing the quality he uses during conversion, another free option (of the very very many) is Paint.NET, an open source free image editing program. http://www.dotPDN.com/downloads/PDN.html

  There are also programs that can do it in bulk, so you can highlight 300 photos and do convert them all at once.  You can do this for free or with tools like Photoshop.

  Have you installed the driver from LabVIEW or copied directly from inst.lib?

  The first is easier, and you don't have to restart LV more...

  Error in a not filled gpib address points. I have not checked if this driver has a resource name visa or a string of gpib address old but in the first case, try the little triangle on the right at the slect address instead of by hand.

  Move your cursor to the bottom right of your screen, as if you were about to shut down your PC. Charms bar appears. Click the settings (gear) icon. In the settings window, click on the option change PC settings at the bottom of the window. You can change the image of the needle space of the screen option customize in the settings window of change of PC.

  I can see the airport and the data file in my network.

  I immediately did a full time Machine backup on a USB key and it disconnected from my system.

  I unplugged the airport, let it rest for a minute and returned the power plug, let it settle for a green light.  I'm restarting Time Machine backup to the airport.

  I need to replace the airport?  The appliance starts to fail?  Or, it is more likely is a problem with winter static electricity that has damaged the image and reconstruction will fix all this.  Reconstruction will take about four hours with no guarantee that it will work.

  The image of export invoke node only work while the Subvi is open, so called as a Subvi and the Subvi is closed this function fails to create an image.

  Using the graphical version express XY, I created an xy chart.  Then created an invoke node to export the image of the xy graph.  When I call this vi as a Subvi, it works, as far as the Subvi remains open.  If I close the Subvi and don't run the main vi, no image is created.

  No explanation why this would be?  LabVIEW 10 has the same problem?

  So the answer is simple, whenever an image is desired from a Subvi always use: invoke the node-> get image, in addition to any collection already implemented code to force labview to update the image
