  Please forgive my newness but I'm creating a table with 10 + lines and columns and need to calculate the sum of the columns. The user must select a number from a drop-down list and I would like to summarize these nbumbers at the bottom of the column, seems simple enough...

  I have named each cell in the links tab but can't seem to find the script of the sum on the right. I just started using livecycle and have had a good experience so far.

  I wish it was like excel where you just need to click or highlight the cells you want to summarize and do with it but I can't seem to find the easy button...

  You can not simply highlight a column, name it and then use that name in a script to sum?

  You have to be very accurate with referencing the fields or the formulas will not work. If you have renamed the fields of their default values, then you should reference them as you named the.

  Dynamic lists were introduced at the APEX 4.1 and they can be used for drop-down menus. I try to use attribute substitution #A01 #... #A10 # in models without success.

  If the OutputText is displayed, it must be a sum of a column in the secondary table.  Also, this value will be written in the database.

  Question:

  How can I fill the OutputText in the main table with the sum of the values in a column in the secondary table?

  Create a spike in the main table and write in its expression as follows - DetailVoAccessorName.sum ("ColumnName");

  Hi Jos,

  Change the list of navigation template won't work as you wish. As you have already noticed the markup you put in the templates is completely removed and replaced with different markup.

  Here's what's happening. The side navigation use the new widget to view tree that it's the same tree used in the page designer and in the parts of the tree when the implementation of the tree is set to tree APEX. Universal theme navigation includes some extra css to make the tree look different, but it's really the same tree view widget. The tree view widget is designed to get its data from a structure (data model) JavaScript object tree, it uses this data to generate the necessary DOM structure. By inspecting the DOM, you can see that it is much more complicated that you'd like to put in an APEX model. The tree also has a mode where it can take the simple markup nested list and become the model of data where the DOM tree can be made (on the client). It's this simple tag list that you see in the list of navigation template. This should explain why all the changes to the templates will be lost. If you want to learn more about what is possible in the markup list template you can see the comments from images/libraries/apex/widget.treeView.js (search for "Static tree of markup"). It is worth noting that the new menu widget works the same way, turning a simple markup in a data structure which the menu is generated.

• width of the column of xml to framemaker attribute table

  I'm trying to set the width of the columns in a table in framemaker by importing the width of an attribute in the imported xml file. But it does not work...

  It's my read/write rules:

  I would like for a labeled sum TOTAL at the bottom of these figures. I thought that COMPUTE would take care of this, but it's not. Am I missing something?
