    Hello

It appears when you press ctrl + shift + ESC? It seemed before? You are an administrator on this computer or is it a corporate system?

If he has suddenly ceased to be available, it's a good sign that you have picked up a virus or some kind of malware. Formal analysis in safe mode is your first line of defense.

  • The Task Manager does not appear, nothing happens when you select it

It is very difficult to get help. Now, I'm not sure if this is the right forum and place to be. I need help to get the Task Manager which has disappeared from my computer. I click right on the taskbar, and then click on task manager and nothing appeared. Please advise on how to find him.

    Hi disillusionedvery,

If you're not, try to login as an administrator and see if that makes a difference.  If so, we still have a problem, but at least we know the Task Manager is here.  If you have any other user accounts on the computer, try connecting them and see if they all have the same problem or if it is limited to one account.  Your profile may be damaged and if this is the case, post back and I will provide procedures about how to fix it.

Try pressing CTRL-ALT-DEL all at the same time and click Task Manager on the screen that appear and see if it works to access the Task Manager.

If this does not work, let's try the following:

Go to start / all programs / accessories / command prompt and right click on command prompt, and then click Run as administrator.

, Type sfc/scannow go and let it run.  It will scan and try to the difficulty of some of your system files.  If all goes well he comes complete with no corruption, it could not repair (if it has these post of corruption here or try to analyze it to find the problem or files using http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928228.

While in the command prompt, type chkdsk /f /r and enter and let it run.  They tried to set itself to run at the next reboot.   Answer Yes and restart to run the program.  It will scan and attempt to resolve any corruption or bad sectors on your hard drive and remove especially as a potential cause.

If it does not, then thanks for posting error messages in the event viewer on the Task Manager (Start / Control Panel / administrative tools / Event Viewer).  Look in the system section.

If this does not work, try a boot minimum http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135.  If the problem goes away then it's just a matter of tracking down the culprit at the origin of the problem.   Follow the procedures described in the article.  Once found, remove, delete, disable or uninstall.  Once remember to put Vista in normal status, as described in the procedures. If the problem occurs in clean mode then just restore the system to normal and reboot - this solution will not work.

Start in safe mode with network and see if the problem is here.  A result allows us to narrow down the search for the cause.

Do you know when this problem started?  If it has been reasonably recent, try a restore of the system to a point in time BEFORE the problem started. If the first attempt fails, then try an earlier point or two.  NOTE: You will need to re - install any software and updates that you have installed between now and the restore point, but you can use Windows Update for updates.

If this does not work, you may be infected with malware.  Update and run a scan complete with any security software you use.  Then, try the following programs if you do not, because they can help. I recommend you download, install, update and run full scans with Malwarebytes:http://www.malwarebytes.org/ and SuperAntiSpyware:http://superantispyware.com/ and then run a full scan of Microsoft Security:http://www.microsoft.com/security/default.aspx.  If you find something, especially something you can't delete, then after return.

That's enough for now.  One of these procedures will be hopefully resolved or at least identify the problem.  If this isn't the case, please post back with the answers to the above questions, results of the tests and procedures that you did (including copies of errors if any found), your version of Windows (for example, 32-bit Vista Business SP2) and anything else that you think may be useful.  We will then decide where to go was from there, armed with more information and know what and did not work.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • The Task Manager does not appear anything other than running programs. Help?

It started a few weeks ago, and I don't think much. But when I open the Task Manager, there is nothing outside the list of active programs and options to put an end to these tasks, go to another, or create a new. Two menus at the top are not present, nor are the name of the program itself. Because the name bar is not there, the ability to minimize full screen, or close is also absent.

I'm having a problem with an old game that also worked fine a few weeks where, after having worked for about a minute (literally in a minute), the entire computer freezes up. I have 16 GB of RAM, and because of the difficulties with the Manager, I am unable to see how it is actually used in this case. Although I guess it's all... The game is 2000, and really should not do that to my computer, I just got back in the month of August (2014).

And yet, everything was working fine a few weeks ago.  If there is anything that I'm missing could easily solve the problems I am experiencing with the Task Manager, I would appreciate a response. I'm not a complete fool when it comes to technology, and I don't know I just pressed something at some point and it is easy to reverse. But I would appreciate help with this one.

  • the Task Manager does not start

My laptop started running very slowly and I can't seem to start the Task Manager. Ctrl alt delete gives me the opportunity to start that I chose, but I don't get an inactive icon in my toolbar. I am running vista Home basic with service pack 1. When I restart or stop the laptop hangs at logging off-page. I also noticed that some of my applications/startup process are not start or appearing in my toolbar. I initially had Bit defender as my anti virus - but he exchanged for computer related. I had the problem with both.

    Hi Omanianne,

Please read the following article from Microsoft Help on the Troubleshooting Task Manager.  Specifically, look at the sections of the Task Manager does not start, and How to enable the Task Manager if it has been disabled.  Based on the other symptoms you have described, it is very possible that you have some kind of virus.  Please make sure that your antivirus software is up to date and run a scan complete your system.  Please let us know if you have any problems or questions.  Thank you.

  • The Task Manager does not work

    Dear,

I have a Hp Envy 17-j009el with Windows 8.1. Recently my task manager does not work.

I checked for viruses with avast free version, but no viruses were found.

I also try the solutions suggested here withous success:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/troubleshoot-Task-Manager-problems

Could be a conflict between avast and driver intel as suggested here?

Ive also installed Process Explorer, as the alternative Task Manager, but it's not working too.

Recently got my ASUS Windows 8 and for some reason any my task manager does not work at all. I have Avast and I ran a bunch of virus scans but nothing. Now it was working fine a few days ago, that I have no idea what continues to everything and I'm just a bit of new features in Windows. Hi Anthony,.

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft Community forum.

We understand that you aren't able to open the taskbar. We appreciate the steps of troubleshooting that you tried it on the computer. We would be happy to help you. This could cause because of system files corrupted on your computer.

    1. Since when are you facing this problem?
    2. don't you make changes to the computer?

    Try the following methods:

    Method 1:

-Press on the Windows key + R

    -Type taskmgr

Check if you are able to access Task Manager

    Method 2:

-Press Ctrl + SHIFT + ESC key

Check if you are able to access Task Manager

    Method 3:

    Run the Microsoft safety scanner.

The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.
    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files

Refer (to repair manually corrupted files, see the details of the File Checker process system to find the corrupted file and then manually replace the corrupted file with a known good copy of the file)

Original title: I deleted a virus from my computer but the Task Manager does not start.  I get a message "task manager has been disabled by your administrator".  Can someone tell me how to fix this.

If the Task Manager does not start, your computer may be a virus. Make sure that you have installed on your computer updated antivirus software, scan your system with the AV software in safe mode.

  • Bounded task flows does not appear in the dialog box

    I use JDeveloper 11.1.2.3.

I have a jsf page, called main.jsf, which has a button that calls a workflow bounded like a dialog box.

When the homepage is called without the extension of jsf, as https://adf-tmp.xxx.com/receiving/faces/main and the button is clicked, everything works and the stubborn workflow appears as a dialog box.

But the stubborn workflow does not appear if the homepage is launched with the jsf extension, like https://adf-tmp.xxx.com/receiving/faces/main.jsf.

When the button is clicked to start the flow of stubborn work, just nothing happens.

What is the cause of this?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

the reason is that you call the physical page out of context in the workflow. Because the popup is a workflow feature you must ensure that the workflow is referenced, which is not if you call the physical file only (in which case would be sent to the underlying JSf, but not the workflow)

  • EqualLogic 'virtual storage manager' does not appear in viClient

I have installed and configured all the options necessary to HITVE and the 'virtual storage manager' does not pull through?

On my home screen, to the title of "Solutions and Applications" - it indicates that three of the components by default HITVE, but not Virtual Storage Manager?

    Any ideas?

I have HITVE not published, restarted, rebooted vCentre, solves all Commons - but still no module?

VMware Storage Manager VSM v3.5, (formerly ASM/EV) was published on the web.  It's much improved then I would say that you give it a try.

Dear community, I had a serious problem on my task manager. It does not display the process and tabs, although the menu is visible. Also, any time I open a program or system of adjustment, some and especially no option can be seen since there is no specified words.

    Original title: Task Manager problem

I managed to solve the problem by looking for alternatives. Apparently, the problem was caused by a dat file (C:\windows\system32 folder called FNTCACHE.) (DAT) I deleted and it worked like a magic. Everything was normal again.
Deleted it and the work of all the graphical interfaces as it should.

Thanks for your answer, in any case. I just post the solution here if someone ever faced with such a question in the future.

    Kind regards

  • The Task Manager does not display the tab process running

I can't seem to view the processes tab of Task Manager running in my pc and my user account is an administrator account. The only tab that appears is the users tab. What can I do to fix this? Whenever I want to kill some programs running that is causing trouble, I can't use this utility.

    Hi Darko74

Thanks for the reply.  I forgot to ask the last time, you see the menus. File, Options, display and help?
Otherwise, the information below may help solve this problem.

The task manager has two different views. For the display that includes menus and tabs, double-click the border of the Task Manager window. The to return to the view without menus and tabs, double-click anywhere in the border around the tabs.

Please post back and let us know if it helped to solve the problem.  -Thank you
