• Stop in the timeline - do not show all layers. How?

  I am an experienced AfterEffects, FCP and user of Camtasia, but new to Captivate. Currently using Captivate CS5.5 and cannot understand why Captivate shows ALL layers of content when the PlayBar stops rather than only the active layers at this point in time.   When you edit the slide, you'll see all the objects that are on this slide. When you drag the playhead, you will see only the objects that are active at this time, but when you let the head of reading all the objects will be there once again.   Show that all the images option is no longer available in the header of the track. How can I see all of the images within the components of the package?

  Click on the image of the key (or key if you're British) on the timeline
  

  Check 'show video thumbails' in the menu drop-down

  THEN go to the drop down at the top right of the timeline and choose 'continuous video thumbnails.

  There are a lot of great options in this menu to customize the settings of your timeline.
  You can also create and save presets for these parameters.

  I let a friend play a bit with the phone today. After that, my home screen changed and I could not find a way to restore it.

  When using the portrait used to have icons on the screen. Now I have a keyboard showing instead (with numbers and letters, such as a phone. If I flip to the landscape, I get the icons.   Second battery pull it cleared up. It was strange. I could change the multi tap keyboard and suretype. But the portrait by default the keyboard upwards. Second battery pull took back me to the default screen, I was used to, with my icons arranged as I wanted them to be.

• File AVI DV 9 GB (45 minutes) shows only 02:50 minutes in the timeline.

  Hi, I have loaded an AVI DV 9 GB file (45 minutes) in Premiere Pro CS6, but it shows a few minutes 02:50 in the timeline. I loaded the files a lot more time in my calendar and edited without any problem. I also tried to decode the AVI file, but this reduces the quality too. Can someone tell me how to solve this problem?

  Thanks John, I solved using the original soundtrack of the DV with WinDV. The new AVI file gives no problem (even if the installation program looks the same). I still don't know why the old 9 GB AVI file did not load completely within the editing timeline.

• Shows not all of the content on the timeline

  I have some items on a slide, but not all of the content displayed when I saw or publish. It only shows the first part and the rest from 3.0 s does not show.

  Everything that is on the bottom of your picture of the timeline (a box click or button?) must have the break after setting has changed. Note that it says "inactive". This means that everything on the slide will be inactive after this point in the timeline panel.  Change the break after just below the slide duration, and you should be fine.

  I'm working with Flash on a screen of very high resolution, and I always put the timeline to display images in a medium size. Is there a way to set it as the default view so I don't have to do it manually every time?

  Well I just called tech support, they said there is no way to change the default display value of Normal... guess I'll suggest for the next version.

  So I had to update to PPCC 2015 after 2014 CEP kept crashing on me while I just changed.  After having reopened the project and the program telling me to convert everything on the new 2015 PPCC, I didn't think it was a big deal.

  Well now, the old version of my project can still play all the videos, and the editing I've done, but when I try to drag in a new video to continue editing, only audio files will come in the timeline. The video will play in the window of the fine source drive, but try to get the actual image of the video in the timeline, will not be displayed.

  It makes me crazy!

  What should I do?

  It was activated at the same time. I closed my projects and rebooted my computer to see if that would do anything and now it works as usual. Thanks for your help anyway!

  I'm working on a project that requires the end user to read a narrative text while the described process is illustrated by the graphic animation. The public is multicultural/lingual, if we want to leave as much time reading the text as it is necessary. Our solution for this so far has been to stop the scene with a trigger then have restarted the timeline with a mouse of the user, click. That has worked so far, but now I need to have the illustration animated in the background, while the timeline is stopped waiting for the user to restart the chronology. Is this possible? If this is not the case, how should this problem approaching, as the click of the mouse is part of a symbol used in other animations in a series?

  Your project specifications do not match your video even remotely.

  Try to start a new project in place for the full AVCHD 1920 x 1080 stereo and see if the video in this project play more smoothly.

  This indicates that you Dbl-Click on an asset, not a sequence.

  ERMM... not necessarily. If you are the project Panel is set to display the icon, by double clicking on an element of the sequence opens it in the Source monitor and not in the timeline panel. Instead, you must hold down the control when you double-click it to open it in the timeline panel. In list view, double click standard, unmodified works. There is a weird inconsistency the reason why I've never quite understood.

• The timeline of Google search function does not work in Firefox but not in IE

  I use Google for searches. After receiving the search results there are additional options along the left sidebar. "Timeline" function takes the results of the search and sort them in chronological order and displays the results on a timeline. This feature is used to work well in Firefox. Now after receipt of search results when I press the option "Timeline" Google tells me that my search "did not match any documents."

  I assumed the problem was with Google but when I finally tested in Internet Explorer, I discovered that the function of the chronology has worked well. The exact URL in Internet Explorer properly displays the results of the timeline sorted but when stuck in Firefox it produces no result.

  Clear the cache and cookies from sites that cause problems.

• How to get the sequences to be visible in the timeline

  Footage on the timeline are somehow not appearing, I don't remember something I shouldn't have, then what should I do to correct the changes and reset the default settings? Preview of the timeline screen is simply blak for the scroll bar hovering in the clip
  

  It looks like your images are trimmed to be one frame in duration. Your sequence also shows a duration of 1 master and the playhead is at 00:01 - which means that the playhead is at the end of the sequence, and by design, black list. I think that if you select the program monitor or timeline panel and save an image, you will see the image. And if you zoom in the timeline, you'll see a single track to lasting 1-framework element.
