  Dear Fausto,

  You have found the necessary information and are very near doing this task. You are also right in the doc, while we provide information on the level of WEb Services, it not there no procedure end-to-end in the Integrator user's Guide. The reason for this is because this procedure relies on the use of the standard Integrator component (not a component EID created). The component that you can put in the Integrator to send in the XML graph is called Web Services Client.

  Context:

  To activate the search by wildcard characters, you must set the schema property for the configuration of indexing to true. It's the mdex-property_TextSearchAllowsWildcards. Must be true for the wildcard search is activated.

  To change this property, there are several ways: using SOAPUI, or graphic Integrator with the Web Services Client component. The two methods are described below.

• How to force the Explorer search to show ONLY the files that match the search target?

  I frequently need to search for files with brackets in the name of the file.    However, a bug in the Search Explorer means that search results will fill up with a lot of waste that does not match my search target.

  Example:

  At a command prompt "dir/s * (abc) *.» ' * ' usually works: the name of each file found will contain "(abc)".   (The only time that a search for the command line fails is when the version 8.3 of the name of the file matches the search target, but the name of the actual file does not work.)

  However, in Solution Explorer, look for "* (abc) *.» "*" returns all files with 'abc' in the name, and provides no way to filter the results so that I only see files with '(abc)' in the name of the file.

  This search bug means that you want "* (de) *.» ' * ' at the command prompt returns 72 hits, while searching with Explorer returns 7381 hits!

  Cancellation: Another inconvenience of Windows is when I work at a command prompt I get often unexpected results because the wildcard matching is done against both the full name of the file or folder and the name of 8.3.   Is there a way to force cmd.exe to restrict the wildcard matches only the complete names of the files and folders?  That is to say, is there a way to force cmd.exe to never, ever, use the 8.3 names?

  Everything works well functionally.

  In my test scenario, I had a table with lines about 100,000 that has a primary key that is not in the CONTEXT index.

  The problem:

  I do a query like:

  SELECT SCORE(1), a.* 
  FROM fulltexttest a 
  WHERE CONTAINS(a.column1, 'FUZZY(({TEST}),,,W) WITHIN COUMN1', 1) 
    AND a.primkey BETWEEN 1000 AND 4000
  

  This will do a full text search in a set of 3000 lines. Here, the response time is almost immediate. Maybe a second.

  If I do the same in a slider repeatedly (> 1000) with various search terms, we take one of course a lot of time. It does in the average 1 requests per second.

  I thought that this cannot be that slow and I tested the same with:

  SELECT SCORE(1), a.* 
  FROM fulltexttest a 
  WHERE CONTAINS(a.column1, '({TEST}) WITHIN COUMN1', 1) 
    AND a.primkey BETWEEN 1000 AND 4000
  

  NOTE there is no fuzzy search more...

  With that, it is up to 20 times faster.

  The cpu of the server about 15% charge when the fuzzy query processing.

  So:

  If I do a fuzzy search, it seems do not access the index. I thought I was saying to the index to calculate the results of 100 extensions in advance.

  I'm doing it wrong? Or is it not possible to build a particular Index to the fuzzy search?

  Are there suggestions to improve performance? Note that I have already read the guide (7 Tuning Oracle Text). None caused advice cure.

  The attributes of a list of words can be used to specify how developed the stems and fuzzies create prefix and substring index.

  If you do a lot of research with generic characters from end, like partialword % then a prefix index can make these quick searches.  If you do the research with two wildcard characters, such as % partialword % then an index of the substring can make this faster research.  There is a trade-off between taking time and storage space to create and maintain the index with prefixes and/or substrings and time of the query.  You can specify the minimum length of a prefix.  The shorter length, prefixes no longer possible and the longer it takes to create the largest index.  So you need to use depends on what types of queries you expect most of the time.

  I don't know if you have tested from queries.  The attribute index_stems of the lexer and the attribute of forms derived from the word list generator are in conflict.  You must keep the generator attribute of forms derived from the list of words and do not use the attribute index_stems of the lexer.

• Default behavior of short wildcard search

  I'm a bit confused by your first sentence and would like to clarify.

  When you say a search on ' term * ' returns ' * term * "-you don't want to say something like ABCtermDEF being returned but rather ABC termDEF.»»

  Without the wildcard character in front of 'term', short does not return all the words that begin with anything else of "term".  Thus, it is the case, then you could check the reqlogs to see that something else is not inject the leading asterisk.

  So, if your use case so more like "I want to find all the records that have, as their first word, a word that begins with"term", then it is not supported without a little manipulator gyration.  In this case, I create a separate property called say 'AllFirstWords' and have a manipulator put all the first words in this property.  Then your search for these can go against that property.

  For example, if the original property was 'Draped Velvet' and you want to find "Vel * ' but not ' Dra *", and then with your new property which has just "Velvet" you are set.

  A criterion to display that contains all the attributes of the caisse and you set the search as 'start with' criteria which generate search by wildcard characters. Set each attribute "ignore null values" allow research where the attribute that is not defined.
  Then you use this criterion of the view and drag it onto the page and drop it on the page as a query.

  In a report Portal parameter, I would like to pass the character % of wild-card for large searches. for example, add %. but I'm getting page not found exception. the parameter value is passed in the right syntax I check the url. Is there something changed in 10.1.4 I need to set up in the report to enable this?

  To use the wildcard character * % * in a URL for report portal settings, it must be coded and included in the URL as * 25% *.

• Missing bookmarks in the smart search field in Safari

  Since the release of El Capitan 10.11.6, favorites are missing from the smart search field in Safari to new Windows.  If a Safari any page web (so far), clicking in the search box if poster is Favorites to view icons, as is expected.

  Is this a bug, or can I make some adjustments to bring them new windows?

  Hello Dick Huitema.

  If I understand your message to the right, when you open a new window in Safari, you do not see your favorite icons in the smart search field.  When I use Safari, I always like to have my favorites available and ready to use, so I can understand why you would be tender for assistance with this.

  You probably feel that if Safari is set to open new windows in an empty page. If yours is configured in this way, there is a very easy way to get these favorites icons to show without actually changing any settings. When you open a Web page, you should see a blank webpage with your top search bar and a cursor blinking in the search bar. Instead click inside the search bar right away, click anywhere on the empty Web page and then click on in the empty search bar. You should then see your Favorites icons appear.

  Another option is to set your homepage to your Favorites. You can do it in Safari > Preferences. On the general tab in Safari preferences, select the drop-down menu next to "new windows open with", and then choose favorite. This should ensure that when you open new web pages, all your Favorites icons show immediately. Favorites icons always appear in the smart search field when additional tabs are open as well.

• The Safari search returns top hits

  When you type in the address bar URL Safari on my iMac, the first character keeps replace them with the next character, and returns the Top Hits.  For example, when I try to type "safari" in the URL address bar, the ' is replaced by 'a' and he returned to Amazon.com.  This started happening in the last two weeks.  In Safari preferences, I unchecked the preload Top Hit back and suggestions include Safari and Safari restarted with no luck.  Any ideas or suggestions?  It is annoying when I want to search directly from Safari instead of open a search engine like google or bing.

  If you choose Safari > Preferences, click search, and then deselect "preload Hit Top in the background. As you type in the smart search field, Safari no longer starts loading a page would be the hit albums based on your bookmarks and browsing history.

• Can I get the Firefox search bar for not automatically, go to the site of the search engine I spend?

  The Firefox search bar seems to have changed since the last update. I understand that things are changing constantly and get used to them, but I wonder if it is possible to change the rear bar to the way it was, or at least understand why it changed.

  Basically, I used to be able to switch from search engines by choosing from the drop-down list, and would not put me right at the site of this search engine. He didn't actually bring me to the site once I hit the search button (or enter).   In summary, it seems that the Firefox team is not intend to bring back the ability to return to the old bar search, which was possible (but in a very biased way) in older versions of 42. For now, you can either:

  • Download module additional classic restaurateur theme to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/classicthemerestorer/?src=ss and then select the old search option
  • Go back to Firefox 42 and set the browser.search.showOneOffButtons property in Subject: config. However, with older versions poses a risk to the security that you won't have bug fixes provided with version 43
