To add another disk for HP a6430f desktop

Product: Office KJ378AA-a6430f

OS: Vista, which is updated automatically

I want to add a HDD that is identical to one already installed in the system. This player is WDC WD64 00AAKKS-65A7B SCSI. I looked inside of the Cabinet Office and there is room to install it in the drive cage, but it's not obvious where to plug them. This isn't an IDE connection where you can connect two drives on the same cable. I see 4 SATA connectors. Which should I use? Should what cable I use?

Another question:

Is there a problem hang a SCSI disk to a SATA connection?  Does not have to be as original drive is a SCSI! Are they the same? Please explain.

I want to clone the first drive on the other. Is there an easy way to do this and then using the second drive as boot drive?

I have just enough knowledge to be dangerous in all of this.

Thanks in advance for the help,

Charles_Harward

Hello

I tried and it worked, but in the process, the wiz disc program cause a problem with acronis true image 11 which has been installed on my system. When I removed the disc wiz he screwed the software acronis and I had to remove that too. The installation not found for the real picture discs acronis therefore finished by buying the latest version of the software. After I bought the software, I found I could not recover the worm 11 from the web. (I didn't know that acronis program I had would have cloned the disk in the first place.) Anyway, everything is changed on the new disk.

    Hello

I would like to add an SSD for my HP Pavilion 500-035ed (office). I do not want to replace the existing drive, I would add a second drive.

I have already noticed a free sata connection and a free power cable, but I didn't notice a physical position for the support and the screws etc...

Does anyone know if there is a manual that describes the physical position for a 2nd drive in HP Pavilion 500-035ed (office)?

    Hello

Look at the picture below and see if your model is configured for one SSD installation.

I see that your particular model is native/sold to the Netherlands.  There is a forum member that frequents this forum who lives in the Netherlands. Hmmmm that's a good guy!

  • How can I keep the original photo date if I have a copy in another file (for example: a desktop file)?

I have created a new folder on my desktop and you want to add photos copied (from the photo app) of a date range. I would like that they in chronological order. When I copy and paste those pictures, they are all "update" to today's date and does not use the information 'date taken '. Any help is appreciated thanks

Easy - just export and display in a program that includes photos - dates are incorporated into the photos in the EXIF and IPTC data

Maybe you look at the dates of the files which are only linked to the record and have nothing to do with the picture somehow

  • PERC 710 add physical disks for RAID 5 virtual disk and keep data

I think to set up a physical disk 4 RAID 5 array on my new PowerEdge T320.  That should give me enough space to last long.  I have two empty slots of HD.  If I need more space, later, I'll be able to add one or two additional physical disks without losing the data already on the virtual disk?  If so, how?  I don't see a way to do this in the manual of Perc 710.

    Thank you

    Andrew

Yes, it is "doable" later.  This can be done in the PERC BIOS, but it can be done in OMSA (OpenManage Server Administrator) within the OS.

One thing to keep in mind is the limit of 2 TB "floppy" Windows on BIOS systems compatible.  If you plan to 4x4TB disks in a RAID 10, that TB ~ 8 'disc' will be converted to the GPT and BIOS UEFI boot mode value.

  • I'm using Time Machine (1 TB), works very well, but because full starting to delete previous backups. Can I add another (LaCie 1 TB) HARD disk for backups? If so, how to proceed. Thank you!

I'm using Time Machine (1 TB), works very well, but because full starting to delete previous backups. Can I add another (LaCie 1 TB) HARD disk for backups? If so, how to proceed. Thank you!

You can add another drive to accept backups Time Machine... assuming it is correctly formatted for Mac to Mac OS extended (journaled), but things are not exactly "continue."

You have not indicated if you intend to add the player to the USB port on the Time Capsule, or connect directly to your computer using USB or FireWire connections. Or the other method works, with the option to connect directly to the computer being the faster connection.

Once the disc is added, you would go in Time Machine preferences (click the "clock" at the top of the screen on your Mac) to add the disk for Time Machine backups and delete the old Time Capsule disk, since backups will go is no longer this destination.

Since you have a new drive, Time Machine will do a new full backup of your Mac and then go forward with incremental backups.

I need help, but I do not speak English.
I already subscribe to photoshop with 2 pc, but I would like to add another 2 pc for a total of 4.
How can I do? Who should I contact because the cat does not work?
    Thank you

If you are going to use a computer at any time, you can use your subscription single user one for all 4 computers.

You can only connect, until, two computers at all once so you will need to do a few signature, but adobe make it very easy to do.  for example, you can disconnect from your other 3 computers using your computer 4.

My laptop is a Dell Vostro 1720 of 32 bits, and so I accept I can't upgrade my Muse more away, but which has hosted a site for me, what should I do to add another site?

    Hello

What I understand, that is, you already have a free site hosted with Adobe Business catalyst, and now you want to get a more.

To do so, publish a Muse Adobe Business catalyst site.

Access to the administration panel and go to settings-> Site Management site, you should see the upgrade option, you will pay for the site, because it is not a free site.

  • Add more disk space for the ESX host

    Hi all

I need to throw more disk space to my ESX hosts.  I know how to bind records in Navisphere and present to the ESX host.  Once in the VI client, I "think" I need to go to the host and do a rescan of the HBA or something like that?  I'm a little unsure of the market of part VI to add more disk space.  Could someone just point me in the right direction?  Please note that I am looking to add more disks to existing hosts in existing clusters.  It adds no storage to a new host... rather an existing one.

    Thank you

    Jonathan

You are on the right track.  Re-scan storage card, under the configuration tab select storage adapters, select the adapter and click on the link of the new analysis.  Then go to the storage section and there should be a link in the top right of the screen that says storage Add.  Click on that and it will guide you in adding/setting in form/naming of the new disk.

  • HP Pavilion Elite HPE-540me: adding an SSD (SATA III) for HP Elite desktop computer. Is this possible?

    Dear Experts...

I want to upgrade my computer by adding an SSD as a master drive and move the original 2 TB drive to be a slave.

I found several coices of SSDS, but almost all of them are SATA III interface.

Is my office supports this interface? as it is just written that it has a SATA interface without specifying what version of SATA!

How many hard drives could this office holds? I already have two (the original 2 TB and my old drive 256 GB) and I wand to add a SSD for Windows and the progs.

Can I purchase this SSD for example? Samsung Electronics 840 EVO-series 500 GB 2.5 inch SATA III single-unit Version internal Solid State...

It is the official my desktop HP specifications page .

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hello

It has 2 bays free HARD disk as on its specifications:

    http://h20564.www2.HP.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docid=emr_na-c02781215

You can trade SSDS on your machine and make the old HDD as a secondary drive ("slave"). SATA III is backwards compatible so you can use it. Since then have been smaller SSD (normally 2.5 "), something that is similar to one of the following media:
