To change the location of the Bookmarks button

I've upgraded to Firefox 10, and the Bookmarks button is now completely over to the right. I hate it here! It was better when it was centered on the toolbar - a small scroll up and I was there. Now I have to scroll right to click the path. Is it possible to move this button/icon to the Center?

This Menu button bookmark appears in the bookmarks toolbar by default if this bar is visible.

If that's the case then you cannot move this button to another position and then the left side of this bar.

If the bookmarks toolbar is hidden so the bookmarks Menu button appears on the right side of the Navigation toolbar and in this case, you can move the button for any item in a toolbar.

The bookmarks Menu button is actually the marker of the fall of the combined Star (bookmark this Page) and view all the Bookmarks button.

Add code to the file userChrome.css below default @namespace.

The file userChrome.css (UI) customization and userContent.css (Web sites) are located in the folder of chrome in the Firefox profile folder.

Earlier, after you click the Bookmarks button, "show all bookmarks" appeared on the top of the list, and now he's down.
Please, add a double-tap on the Bookmarks button function so that it opens the window of the library directly.

  • After the last update of FF13, I double click on the bookmark button and the window does not open, so I can edit.

When I double click the bookmark (star) button a window still down so I can change the bookmark or place it in the folder I want. Now, after the last update of FF13 (June 2012), I can click once and the page is a bookmark in the "home" folder, but when I double click nothing happens. (1) I restarted FF, did not help 2) I rebooted the computer, did not help.

You just click on the star once if the star is high already turned on to indicate that a site is bookmarked. Normally, you would click once to bookmark the current site, then click once, if you want to change the new bookmark. If you double-click and you open and close the pop-up edition.

After you enable hardware acceleration can cause problem with edit op - up doesn't work does not correctly, so in case of problems, you can disable hardware acceleration.

  • Why the bookmark button continue from navigation to the bookmarks bar when I put it there. How to solve this problem?

Because my screen is not that big, I want my bookmark toolbar elements (element for special bookmarks folder) take the entire width, and I want the button Favorites in the navigation toolbar (because I don't need this long url field).
As you modify the toolbars and buttons, I change to what I want, but every time that save and close the window edit the bookmarks (with the drop below) button moves automatically to the bottom of a toolbar. It's very, very annoying, not least because in the edit mode, it's ok (it is also saved correctly).
Any way to overcome this problem?

When appears in the toolbar of bookmarks, the Bookmarks button moves automatically in the Navigation toolbar to the toolbar of bookmarks. This is expected behavior. I can't tell you why but, as it makes no sense to me either and I probably find twice as boring as you.

    Install the following extension.

  • How to restore the Bookmarks button - who disappeared?

The Bookmarks button and the Firefox button disappeared. How can I restore them?

Hello, please try to reset firefox and see if that can solve the problem...

  • What is the bookmark button? It keeps disappearing.

The button bookmark watch when the 'customize' but then everything disappears. What is this for?

This bookmark button appears when the menu bar is hidden, and the word bookmarks menu item will not appear. Display of the menu bar is the default value for Windows XP; with Vista and Win7, the menu bar is hidden by default.

This special bookmarks button opens a view slightly truncated of what shows the bookmarks menu item in the menu bar. There is another similar bookmarks button that sits in the Customize Palette that opens the bookmarks bar.

If you want to customize the Bookmarks button which "disappears" when you close, open view > toolbars and click on the Menu bar so the check mark disappears and the menu bar will be hidden, replaced by the orange Firefox button.

  • How can I change the music button on my keyboard to launch Windows Media Player to launch WinAmp?

original title: program music keyboard key

How can I change the music button on my keyboard to launch Windows Media Player to launch WinAmp?

    Thank you

    Drew

As Mike Hall suggested, first look for the keyboard utility and seek to change the keyboard assignment there.

If this option is not available, you can try to change the default program to open files of music. I do not think that "hotkey" keyboard music trying to specifically open Windows Media Play, rather it opens the program assigned as the default value for the music.

So you'll need to get to the default programs control panel applet. To get there:

    1. Click Start , then Control Panel (in midway up on the right side)
    2. In the Control Panel window, click programs (not options, just the word more big programs). (If you have your set control panel to displayall items in the Panel control, then the applet default programs will be already visible and available directly)
    3. The second group of options should be the default programs. The two options here that should be of interest to you are:
Make a file always open in a specific program type and (especially) set your default programs.

You should find everything you need there.

    Hello

I want to know if there is an easy way to DW to change the default button, the browser will display for the button 'Browse' when I use an input field:

    for example using:

    < input type = "file" name = "fileatt" >

I looked at this link, but not only that it has not worked for me, but I also want to know if there is a simpler method.

    http://www.quirksmode.org/DOM/inputfile.html

The big drawback for the javascript code is that it requires the support of the W3C DOM, and even in my test environment, I was not able to see the work.  I think that the HTML only (well, there is javascript used to stuff the path traversed in the input field) will be satisfactory to your visitors using modern browsers reasonably.

  • What happened to save a bookmark in an existing folder? Now, I have to save and then change the bookmarks - huge time waster

I'm sorry if I'm simply not see something obvious, but save and organize bookmarks appear to have taken a huge step backward. It seems I can save only a bookmark in the zone unsorted bookmarks and then need to open the bookmarks library to move the bookmark to a folder. In the past, you had options to save a new bookmark in an existing folder or create a new folder and save here.
Again, I'm sorry if I simply don't see a method to achieve that is right in front of my face.

    • By clicking on the star in the toolbar navigation go to bookmark the page in the "Unsorted Bookmarks" folder and the star lights in blue to show that
    • Bookmarks > 'Bookmark this Page' (Ctrl + D) going to bookmark the page in the folder of bookmarks Menu (you will need to confirm that)
    • 'Bookmark this Page' is accessible via the context menu in the area through the bookmarks menu or navigation in the menu or Firefox menu button drop-down bar (Alt + B)
    • If the URL in the Navigation bar is set bookmark and the star is blue highlight then click on this star highlighted or use the menu item "Bookmark This Page/Edit this bookmark" (Ctrl + D) to change the properties of the bookmark as the name and the location and move the bookmark to another folder or delete the bookmark
  • Swap the menu bookmarks with the Bookmarks button 'star'.

There are a lot of answers there to get rid of the star on the new Favorites menu button button, and I share their frustration. However, my complaint is that I don't like the star button on the left of the double button. Is there a a way to replace the star key and the menu buttons drop down? To clarify, I want to keep the double button, but I want the button drop-down menu on the left and the star key 'Bookmark this Page' on the right.

Here is a picture also help clarify what I'm looking to move.

I appreciate any help you can offer!

It is not possible in a simple way.
Are not two buttons, but a single button, and the star is the main button and the other button is the drop marker as you can see if you inspect the code with the DOM Inspector.

This drop marker also has a border or box-shadow on the left, so you should have to do a lot of CSS changes to make this work correctly.

The two swapping is easy with the code to userChrome.css:

    @namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"); /* only needed once */

    #bookmarks-menu-button > dropmarker {-moz-box-ordinal-group: 0 !important;}

The file userChrome.css (UI) customization and userContent.css (Web sites) are located in the folder of chrome in the Firefox profile folder.
