To remove the search bar to see the beautiful snowmen snow
I can click between the search bars and URL to shorten to the left, but the right side of the search bar there where he was. I want to condense the two bars to the left so I can see the snowmen beautiful of my add-on. Or remove the search completely bar.
Thank you, Nick
You can move the seek bar '3-bar' Firefox dropdown menu button and it will work again correctly and answer the hotkey Ctrl + K.
- Make a right click of the search logo-> move menu
You can also consider adding an opacity in the address bar and the search bar.
Add code to the file userChrome.css below default @namespace.
@namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"); /* only needed once */ #navigator-toolbox {min-height:200px!important} #urlbar {opacity:0.5!important} #urlbar:hover {opacity:0.8!important} #urlbar[focused="true"] {opacity:1!important} #searchbar .searchbar-textbox {opacity:0.5!important} #searchbar .searchbar-textbox:hover {opacity:0.8!important} #searchbar .searchbar-textbox[focused="true"] {opacity:1!important}
The file userChrome.css (UI) customization and userContent.css (Web sites) are located in the folder of chrome in the Firefox profile folder.
- Create the folder chrome (lowercase) in the .default < xxxxxxxx > profile folder if the folder does not exist
- Use a text editor like Notepad to create a userChrome.css (new) file in the folder chrome (file name is case sensitive)
- Paste the code in the userChrome.css file in the Editor window
- Make sure that the userChrome.css file starts with the default @namespace line
- Make sure that you select "All files" and not "text files" when you save the file via "save file as" in the text editor as userChrome.css.
Otherwise, Windows can add a hidden .txt file extension and you end up with one does not not userChrome.css.txt file
You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder currently in use:
- Help > troubleshooting information > profile directory: see file (Linux: open the directory;) Mac: View in the Finder)

When I go to my home page (start Firefox) located at http://www.google.com/firefox?client=firefox-a & rls = org.mozilla:-org.mozilla, big, ugly black boxes appear on the left. They seem to be related to Google. I find them boring and you want to disable them. Where is the control? I have not given permission to Firefox or Google to make this change.
Please update your browser Firefox 8

How can I remove Quick Search Bar 4.5 Add on
I tried to add the search engine different what you ask because I had to reset my computer to a restore point prior and found this add through your research tools page. now I want to remove it but I can't find it in programs and features.
It works when you choose Manage search... engines in the menu drop-down and click restore default values in the dialog box that opens?
If this does not work, a reinstall of firefox might also address the issue - just go to getfirefox.com, download the latest version of the browser and install it on top of your current installation.

When I search a Word using the search bar, Firefox highlights all the hits on the page. (Sometimes it highlights some.)
Apparently, he sees shots, because it climbs to everyone that I click Next. But it is not to highlight the successes. I don't see what Firefox has found.
I'm afraid that it is a problem of Windows 7 (I'm not a fan of Win7).
Are you clicking on "highlight all" in the search bar? See: https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Searching+within+a+page

How to remove the Babylon Search bar?
I have a laptop HP Pavilion G6 and at some point, were able to be infected by the research of Babylon that HI-jacks of the engine your own preferences system and re - directs you to their search bar. The program is not found when you search in the control panel "uninstall a program". I think that it is a form of malware, because it has a little information when you Google, especially on how to remove Babylon Search bar. I tried some of these but not luck. I also tried the system restore, once again without a bit of luck. I just hope that someone out there has had and managed to remove it successfully. In the affirmative, please let me know what I need to do.

No research don't engines see the upward into the search bar. All are checked in the settings dialog, and I can check or uncheck the.
Please see this article to learn how to work the new features of the search bar.
https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/KB/search-bar-add-change-manage-search-engines-FirefoxThe main thing that threw me, is that you must type at least a letter for a search in the search bar to see the drop down menu which allows to open when you click mini - image search icon in the search bar.
You can return to the former system like this.
Open Subject: config (typed in the address bar) and turn this false preference
browser.search.showOneOffButtons
Then restart Firefox. -
How can I delete google custom search bar of about: newtab page
When I open Firefox or a new tab I updated: newtab which is great and all. Recently, I noticed a Google search bar on the new tab page, however, it immediately affect my cursor. I type in the address normal upstairs bar. If I do not do that tedious extra step click on the address bar before typing, it opens on Google Custom Search Engine. Has no images, maps, etc. the tabs along the top. Make a simple task to find something or other but just that much more boring to do, because I have to type in the address in bar.
So I was hoping there is a way to remove this search bar Google annoying custom of my remarks: newtab?
Or at least get my cursor in the address bar, not the bar Google Custom Search. This is a screen-cap of the search bar. http://gyazo.com/d75ccdea9b9d0bb4a3d347664be73771
Sometimes a problem with Firefox can be a result of malware installed on your computer, you may not be aware of.
You can try these free programs to search for malicious software that work with your existing anti-virus software:
- ADWCleaner
- Microsoft safety scanner
- MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
- TDSSKiller - AntiRootkit utility
- Hitman Pro
- ESET Online Scanner
Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP, if you do not already have one.

I can't change the same Bing search bar after the removal of Bing!
I would like to change the default Google search engine. I put Google on the top of the search engine list, but every time I close FireFox and reopen Bing is located in the search bar! I even deleted Bing in the list of search engine to manage, and even after closing and re-opening FireFox sits is Bing. Very frustrating! I love the browser but I'll change if I can't get this straightened out. I completed all the steps to make Google default, but somehow Bing is always in the search bar when you restart FireFox.
Help, pleaseMake a check of malware with several malware scanning of programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs, because each program detects a different malicious program.
All of these programs have free versions.Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before scanning.

Remove the Google search bar of about: newtab page
It's maddening, and why users don't upgrade their software. The 3 latest updates of Firefox have caused many to not open in Firefox https sites, but they work fine in Internet Explorer. Lowering the TLS settings in topic: config from 3 to 2 fixed prior to version 31.0
When defective to fix today after the upgrade again, I became suspicious of Kaspersky and disabled who solved the problem of https. I'm still confused on why the Firefox upgrade resulted in Kaspersky blocks the application of any suspicious activity however. I think it's connected to the strange/unexpected uses of DNS server settings or a proxy.
To add insult to injury, I now have a highly UNDESIRABLE Google search bar in the top of my topic: newtab 31.0 version page. Why? Who thought it was a good idea to Mozilla?
If I wanted that Google (or any other search engine) to see each search query, that I come home, I set this as my home page search engine, or to drop Mozilla completely and use Chrome. When the Mozilla developers add this unwanted code in their browser, they are essentially removing the attractiveness of using it in the first place. Today, it is a loss that I spent all day playing with it.
Again, this is why people don't IMPROVE not - this 'upgrade' has messed up my browser just as much as any virus has never.
< / end mug shot >Thanks for the suggestions. I use the version of Kaspersky called Endpoint Security company and after much digging, I found a solution here:
Kaspersky and Firefox SSL BugThe fix requires submitting a support request to patch pt133 in KES 8.1.0.1042 - the previous version of KES 8 (v.8.1.0.831) must be upgraded before you install the patch.
In regards to the search bar, which gives a box to check or uncheck the box for this unwanted feature would be more diplomatic, but thanks for the workaround.

I liquidated my bar. As the search bar when you type in the web address, and now I can get it back. I handed to the clicked place where I did to trun off (unchecked it), and I don't see anything again?
Hold down the key (key in OSX) and press the following letters in this exact order: V T M
The bar of menus must now appear permanently, unless you turn it off again (view > toolbars). Turn on/off the menu bar is a new feature in version 3.6.See the other bars under view > toolbars. By clicking on one of them will place a check mark (display) or remove the check mark (not shown).
Then, in the Menu bar, go to view-> toolbars-> customize, then press the Restore Default Set .

I would like to be able to remove the bar below the search line in the middle of the page and the stuff recently added at the bottom of the page. An empty clean page. Can be a person the choice to take control of a screen on his computer? I would also like to comment on the addition of the blurb on impossible to load this * AD * stuff because I have a filtered list to eliminate all the other nonsense that are added with updates to adobe flash for ads. Until they can help create the means to stop all ads that I will continue. If you don't allow to remove the bs in the middle of the page, I'll have to rewrite your code to remove it and block all updates. I don't like ads extensively.
Doug H
I received this info by private message:
It's the text of presentation... wherever I blocked ads from loading that it appears in the empty place holder.
"Unable to connect, firefox could not connect to the server ' blah blah blah @doubleclick.net.
Sounds as if the announcement was incorporated by using an iframe, which is an entire web page and not just a picture. Your adblocker seems to prevent the entire page to be retrieved if Firefox shows the same kind of message, instead of the page as if you had loaded it in its own tab. Perhaps a different advertising blocker could hide the frame entirely, which would be more aesthetic.

Is it possible to remove the "key words" awesome bar, search
Is there a way to delete / keywords not registered
For example, there are many songs of guilty pleasure I'll be embraced if someone will see.
example: Kylie Minogue
Is it possible to take off and never save any page associated with this keyword 'kylie Minogue '.
Since this 1, 2, 3 (can see images)
Same thing for 3 is there a way not to save keywords or save anything in boxes like this
What about adult stuff (thank God for navigation of PRIVET) <-just be honest here.
When you say keyword, are you referring to them, the keywords associated with a search engine? Research Management > double click on the key word column
You may also delete the history entries if you put history to remember everything. However, in the location in the Options toolbar settings > privacy > you can change what is research: 'Nothing' or the history and bookmarks.

Lost the search bar and now to see the clock in the search bar
Search bar no longer works. I have reset Firefrox and that did not help. Maybe he thinks that Trojan.
Try to delete the file search.json and possible search - metadata.json and search.sqlite files in the profile folder of Firefox to reset the default search engines.
Firefox will rebuild the file search.json from the default search engines in the folder "browser\searchplugins" in the Firefox program folder and the searchplugins folder in the Firefox profile folder.
You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder currently in use:
- Help > troubleshooting information > profile directory: see file (Linux: open the directory;) Mac: View in the Finder)
You can check if you have the XML files including Google's default search engine in the browser\searchplugins file in the Firefox program folder.
If this isn't the case, then reinstall Firefox to get all search engines by default.
