Touch screen won't calibrate.

Help please

I have a touch screen I installed by opening my laptop and fitting in, it runs on a touchscreen 4-wire controller.
He connected really well and it works it's just Windows 7 won't calibrate correctly and I can't get the impressive features of windows touch.
The software for that it works and it allows to calibrate, but I don't want to use the software provided with it because it disables the key windows and features flicks.

I'd love help on how I can get windows 7 actually save changes to calibration and do not have the cursor on 20 to 50 pixels of my finger, I want to calibrate to be exactly when I point.

I have the windows 7 operating system and I want windows touch for my touch screen of 8.9 "

I don't understand how windows cannot use the calibration information I give to work.

any help will be greatly appreciated!

You have Windows 7 drivers for the device?

    Hello

The models CF - 19 digitizer support Windows XP Tablet Edition. The models CF - 19 touchscreen supports Windows XP, Windows 2000, and Windows Vista.

Windows 8 is not supported in touch screen Toughbook CF - 19 c, we can try to install the drivers in compatibility mode and check out.

You can download the drivers designed for Windows Vista, Windows XP and install it using the compatibility mode of Windows 8. Follow the steps.

    (a) access to the start screen

    (b) press Windows key + C on your keyboard to show the charms (if you have a touch screen: touch the right edge of your screen and slide your finger to the center of the screen to display the bar of charms)

    (c) search for troubleshooting, click settings in the right-hand column.

    (d) click on troubleshooting. Click on run for earlier versions of Windows programs

    (e) click Next, select do not appear. Click next

    (f) click Browse and select the installation program that you downloaded via the link above.

    (g) click Next, click the troubleshooting program

    (h) check the program worked in earlier versions of Windows, but that will not install or run box now

    (i) click Next, select the latest OS known functional for this driver (probably Windows 7)

    (j) click Next.

Make the programs more compatible with this version of Windows

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows-8/older-programs-compatible-version-Windows

Be sure to update all the drivers to the latest drivers of Windows 8 and also run Windows updates regularly.

What driver Toshiba control the touch screen?
Is it a hardware problem or software?

    Hello

To be honest there is no special driver to control the touch screen.
The driver is provided by the Windows System.

I think you should get the laptop back to factory settings but I fear that this will not solve the problem of Mr. smells like a hardware problem because I found some threads here in this forum about the dysfunction of the touch screen and especially the problem could be solved by service agents.

By the way: before you run the recovery process try to configure the stylus and touch screen.
Go to the control panel (Windows key + X-> Control Panel)-> Tablet PC setting.
The first display tab contains options such as configure screen stylus and touchscreen.
Here, you should be able to start the installation program and identify the touchscreen.
The first option must contain 1 internal LCD
At the bottom, you might find button to calibrate and reset the settings for the internal LCD.

  • AT300 - area on the touch screen, pick up ghost keys

    Hi people,

I'm having a problem with my Tablet AT300 where it that takes the touchscreen touches - many of them - in a place where it is not to be touched. When I turn it on, it starts to go crazy with the vibrations repeated thought to touch screen that is to be touched. I see the behavior that it is picking up in an area of the screen - the left-hand side from the bottom when held in orientation landscape with the camera at the top. I can say that it's in this area because it retains hit the back button, and if I do then rotate the device to the left, it keeps bring up the pop-up menu settings of the lower right and close it again.

I saw one report of this type of behavior that was caused by a loose wire to drop the device. My Tablet has fallen a few times, but not on hard surfaces. It is possible, but it could also be something else. I am reluctant to remove if it's a software problem (well the fact that it is an area of the touch screen suggests it's material, I guess). I guess I could reset it hard, but to be honest, I don't want to do this because my daughter won't lose its apps and saved games.

So, who is the most likely scenario here, and what is the best way of difficulty? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Satellite U920 - touch screen no longer works

My touch screen stopped working all of a sudden not. I can use the laptop by the keyboard and mouse. Is it possible that I went it accidentally extinguished by a combination of keyboard?

    How can I solve this?

To my knowledge, there is no shortcut keyboard or combination that would be activated or deactivate the touch screen.

But try to calibrate the touch screen (digitizer). You must go to the control panel (Windows key + X-> Control Panel). You will find a Tablet PC setting.

The first tab called display contain some options such as configure the stylus and touchscreen. Here, you should be able to start the installation program and identify the touchscreen.

In the screen options 1 internal LCD must be chosen.
In addition, you can calibrate and reset the settings for the internal LCD.

  • Satellite C50T - A - 11 d - touch screen does not work

Searched - Microsoft and Toshiba drivers and find NOTHING - in fact in the box drivers from Device Manager - under Hid compatible touchscreen - I disabled and enabled it, tried to download the latest version of the driver - said this is the latest driver - but also said so there is no driver device associated with this device.

Small keyboard will appear next to the system tray, but nothing on the touch screen works somehow

Help please before I send this laptop pretty back!

    Hello

    > Sought - Microsoft and Toshiba drivers and find NOTHING - in fact in the box drivers from Device Manager - under touchscreen compatible Hid

There is no such thing as a special driver for touchscreen and it's why you can't find this driver on the Toshiba driver page. Contains the Windows system and own internal driver to control the touch screen.

Go to control panel-> Tablet PC settings control
Here you will find some options to calibrate the touch screen

In the view tab, you will find the setup button.
Click the Setup button to launch the Setup where you could point to the touch screen
In the substantive area called display display options you could calibrate the touch.

In case this workaround would not be possible or would not work, I recommend you put the laptop back to factory settings using the recovery media or HARD drive recovery option.

But beware: this recovery format the HARD drive and thus data backup would be recommended.

  • X 1 carbon Gen3 touch screen camera does not

    Hello

As in the description, I have the 3rd generation X carbon 1 with a touch screen. I have problems my camera integrated into the work. I think that I remember when I got to my laptop, but I haven't used in a while. Yestrday, I googled Hangouts to try and use the camera again, but it did not work. I continued to look for his start-up. I tried to download the latest drivers (who would never complete installation because it could not find the device). I deleted my antivirus. I disabled my ad blocker on my Chrome. Rebooted my laptop several times. I did a bunch of stuff, but nothing seemed to work. I went in the program of camera integrated by default on my laptop and it shows just a camera with an X through it, it seems that my laptop is not plugged properly or something. A way to fix it? It is a tiny little problem that I can fix it with, or is it a bigger problem at hand? Or... I'm just delusional? I never had a built-in camera?

Open settings of Lenovo from there, you can control your camera, WiFi, Bluetooth and much more ensure under camera that the security mode is not enabled, if it is then it will not be sent the images from the camera turn off so he can send photo again since that one thing security when you use not the camera to prevent hackers / intruder to misappropriation of your camera to see what you at home so they can penetrate when nobody is home to steal things.

If that does not fix it reboot the bios then find section i/o in the bios and make sure integrated device said he [Enabled] and not [Disabled] if there disabled that also areason why it won't work.

  • AiO S40 - touch screen only works on the on-screen keyboard

Machine has three months - IdeaCentre S40-40, 8.1 Windows, renovated, very few programs installed.

The touch screen worked until now in each program the way it was assumed. But then the clicking has stopped working. So, only when you click, it does not. You can see on the desktop when you tap on the screen, the gray circle reacts to the amount of pressure on the screen.

In Internet Explorer, for example, the works of scrolling, resizing (with two fingers) works, but isn't new by clicking on.

If I open the keyboard on the screen, the keyboard works - you can actually click on the keys, and it does not. Nowhere else in Windows, it doesn't.

Because I see some responses to touch, I don't think it's a hardware problem.

I removed HID-touch in Device Manager and rebooted. Same result.

I have disabled the service of keyboard on screen/touchscreen - same result.

I reinstalled the driver of keyboard and mouse from Lenovo site - same result.

I tried to calibrate the screen, but I can not because it does not yet meet the first, click on the cross.

    Any ideas anyone?

    Dear spidey101,

    Thank you for your response.

Totally forgot to update the BIOS. That solved the problem and now the touchscreen works again without a hitch.

    Thank you once again!

  • HP Pavilion x 360 n014na: HP Pavilion x 360 n014na touch screen not working not not after installing Windows 8.1

Please help, I'm desperate.  I searched for weeks without any solution.  I have a HP Pavilion x 360 n014na, when I bought it I installed Linux immediately and have been using it this way without problem.

However, I decided that I wanted to go back to 8.1 for Windows as the main operating system.  I was not able to make a USB recovery in time when I bought the laptop, so I used a legal copy obtained directly from Microsoft.  It has detected my BIOS on the product key and activated correctly, all devices work.   Except the touchscreen unresponsive.

I went to the support page for my machine model, downloaded and updated all the drivers.  There is NO drivers for the touch screen.  I contacted Microsoft, the drivers are provided by HP and they have not.

I have seen that others complain and no resolution, just a pointer to a page for Windows 8 (not 8.1) with outdated information.  It is NOT a hardware problem.  It IS a driver problem, IE. There is no driver available anywhere.  I am not a novice, I have worked with computers professionally for decades.

Need help please, I just need a link to the driver, not a page with obsolete or non-applicable information.

No, no.  Having to purchase replacement media is not a solution.  I said I got a legal copy of the Microsoft Windows Installer, I have a product key integrated in the BIOS.  I won't spend more money for something that I own.

As it is a common complaint, here's what I did:

The solution was to check the HP drivers for I2C and GPIO are present and loaded correctly, he will be seen in the device under "Human Interface devices" Manager  They appear originally HID-compliant touch screen driver, get these right and the touchscreen should work after a reboot.  I had to install both times that something must have gone wrong the first time.

  • Touch screen no longer works a few days ago on my HP Pavilion 23

Hello, I know not what is there, all of a sudden my touchscreen is not working. I did all the steps, like trying to put in place and re - calibrate, easy troubleshooting but touchscreen is insensitive.

    Hello @Lee1965,

I understand that your touch screen of your HP Pavilion 23 has stopped working. I suspect that it is the result of an update which did not correctly on your computer. I'm you provide a HP support document: use Microsoft System Restore (Windows 8), that will guide you in the process of restoring your computer to when the touch screen worked as it should.

This can happen from time to time with an update that regardless of how the update is ready no two computers are exactly identical and variables which are unexpected creep upward. Normally these variables affect our computers nor affects any part of that we will never use so don't notice do not. Other times that they affect the things we use as your touch screen. Windows offers the possibility to return to until the problem occurred for the same reason.

Please re-post if you need extra support. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!
