  I think you are talking about the pinch to zoom.
  Yes, this can be disabled.
  Go to control panel-> mouse-> device settings (I think its last tab, it could be called Advanced too)
  Here click the Advanced Settings button
  Here, you should see all the available options. I guess that option should be available here.

  OK, so I got my hands on this old machine and I encountered a small problem:

  The Touchpad will turn off by itself and I have no idea how to do to reactivate.

  I tried to look in the manual, but the manual only referred to the indicator switch as the 'button '.

  Also, it is not no matter what shortcut fn-button on the keyboard and I tried fn + F1 to F12 with no results.

  Steps to drain the static charge and load the BIOS default settings to solve the problem

  Step 01. Turn off the laptop

  Step 02. Disconnect the power/AC adapter and also remove the battery too

  Step 03. Press and hold the power button of the laptop for a minute

  Step 04. Now re - insert the battery back in and plug again the power supply/adapter

  Step 05. Start Notepad and keep pressing the F10 key during startup to access the BIOS

  Step 06. Once you get the BIOS, please press F5 or F9 key to load the default settings for the BIOS

  Step 07. Now press ESC/ESC. Save Changes and Exit - Yes

  Step 08. Now, please wait until the unit load the Windows operating system

  Now try to activate the touchpad market and it should work normal

  Usually the touchpad disable automatically if an external mouse is connected, but only if you enable this option in the touchpad settings.

  I also use an external Logitech mouse and have enabled this option. You can find it in Control Panel > mouse. Go to the device settings tab and mark the internal pointing device option disable when the external USB pointing device is attached.

  I checked the driver Toshiba page and it seems you have to install both applications.
