Transcoding in Encore

I get a transcoding error when I try to burn a DVD.  I'm not changing anything in the way I did in the past.  Does anyone have any ideas as to why it does not work now?  Thank you.

For dynamic binding, use the transcoding "now" to get the transcoded assets prior to a build. It makes the resolution of the problems.

When you have imported the MPEG2-DVD as a timeline, which show the "Transcoding DVD status" column in the project Panel?

Since it is a simple installation, no menu, there is nothing wrong with creating a new project (with a different name) to avoid caching problems.

I recently downloaded CS6 again through creative cloud and it was working fine until I tried to burn my project to a DVD. He had almost finished the bulk of the video transcoding and it stopped and gave me this error: error OSStatus = - 47. My computer (which is a MacBook Pro) also gave me a message saying that still had a problem: [/ Volumes/versions/Amawat/hand/Adobe/MediaCore/ASL/Foundation/Make/Mac /... /.. / Src/Mac/MacFil e.cpp - 1104].

  • Transcoding in Encore CS6 error

I get the following error message during the process of generation of Blu - Ray:

Object of Blu - ray: ' < timeline > 00 repetitions ", error:"invalid format", Code:"14", note:" ERROR: invalid calendar info.» DTS (of 2032th) to THE is not superior to DTS of THE previous)

I was taken to Blu - ray with for years and never met it. For this particular Blu - ray, I tried to start again with a new project, I deleted all references to previous projects and I cleaned the cache of media several times again this message or a similar one keeps popping up in various parts of the build process. In other words, it is not always refer to the chronology 00 rehearsal. Sometimes this error appears during the process of generation of the main menu, or in a different timeline.

The project consists of 2 menus, 5 deadlines (3 filled with AVI files that still has already managed to transcoded and 2 filled with h.264 files, also transcoded and there also a dynamically linked AE project). I've used this same configuration several times without problem so I'm really confused as to what is the cause.

Here's a screenshot of what it looks like this time.

Can someone give me some clues as to what is the cause? and how do I solve this problem?

Thank you, Ann and Stan for all your help.

I ended up fixing this by exporting new AVI files using another computer and then I replaced the assets still existing in my project. It seems that only the files that I had initially created from my machine Windows 8 caused the problem. Using the new files created with my computer Windows 7 worked. I know it sounds strange, but that is the conclusion I came to. Later I'll experiement more with Windows 8. If I come to a different conclusion, I will post it here.

I suggest that you go to the forum of the Organization and describe your project here http://forums.adobe.com/message/4200840

Including screenshots of your project and export of parameters http://forums.adobe.com/thread/592070?tstart=30

  • Transcoding in Encore CS5 settings

    I have two questions:

    1. How can I see my settings for transcoding (including the 'quality' after all finished transcoding tab?

    2. How will I know that transcoding (automatic) arrived at my best quality for a large project settings (~ 120 minutes SD) if "is space" bit is MB? (I'm sure that if the remaining space is of the order of GB, then transcoding "did his best" but in the case of a few MB, I don't know).

    Thank you

    LACI.

If the project is 120 chronology of the DVD will be definitely filled.

Make sure that you check use restore maximum quality in the Presets of quality Edit (which will be under file)

If you want the best quality don't put no more then 60-90 minutes on a single DVD.

If your calendar is more than 90 minutes, making a double layer.

Then, you can use a bitrate calculator and get the best settings.

  • How although CS6 Encore transcodes?

I have always exported my calendar with marks of chapter yet in the DVD or Blu - ray format and then import this file into again, instead of having to do the transcoding. I find now that still CS6 does not bring in my chapter markers, so I need to use dynamic links and transcoding in encore. I chose the presets that are the same that I used when I exported first. All opinions as to whether the quality of her still transcode is equal to that of my export since the first timeline pro? If this isn't the case, I have to add my chapter markers in encore. Thank you.

Sorry; did not follow-up on this.

I had the (false) impression that the problem of the chapter was DVD and Bluray. I guess now it's H.264 Bluray only. It is a bug. Because the bug is SOUL/PR, it will be fixed.

  • Lost project - can use the files transcoded to yet?

I had a serious accident on my system, and if I was able to restore most from a backup, I have a project where the source files have disappeared. I have the files transcoded in encore, it's xxx.ac3, xxx. M4V and xxx.m4v.xmpses. I can read the reminder film, but is it possible that I can make a video of these files? The format is Blu Ray. I tried to write to the directory of the BD and BD .iso file, but when I try to play, I don't have the sound, the video is just a black scree.

    Best regards

    That sounds about right.

From windows Explorer, you can play the file xxx.m4v?

  • How to avoid transcoding of video files

    Hello

It's something I've been struggling with during a good time.  Maybe you could help me with it.

I use Photodex producer to create slide shows of photos and videos that I take.  Can I get the producer to generate a mpeg2 HD file (other formats are also available) with format audio mpeg.  Finally I feed these Encore 6 files to create BD disks.  Producer allows for some parameters to be set, but I couldn't find a way to generate the files mpeg2 video so that I could avoid transcoding in Encore.  I looked at the still help | Importation of goods page and the recipe seems simple, but it does not work for me...  Maybe it's too simple?  It does not seem to be sufficient to use mpeg2 video with audio mpeg and 23.976 fps.  Still always insists on transcoding of these files.

Here is an example of such a file (with the permission of mediainfo):

Could you please help me with this?  What is - that in this file that forces the need for transcoding in Encore.

    Thank you

    Peter

Stan and Jeff, thank you for your comments and help.

I finally found a way to produce a file .avi without loss of the producer.  In version 6 of the producer, it's under "Publish-> for computers-> Custom Video leader".  In the window that opens, you select the Type of Format: custom and Format settings: Format: AVI uncompressed.  They allow you to adjust the resolution, frame rate and a few other things.  The .avi files were about 10 GB for each minute of video (1080 p, 23.976 fps).

In this project, I had 4 files each of about 100 GB in size.  A little tricky to deal with, size wise, but still manageable.  I imported those files into yet (does not pass first) and BD transcoded using all the options of high quality, that I could find.  The BD resulting is ok.  I think it's much better than what I was getting when I produced the producer mpeg2 files and had then transcoded them in Encore.  The main difference is less distortion in the fast-changing scenes.  I just noticed that for producers it has a 'quality' option, I've not seen (I used "normal quality").  I'll try it next time (probably will give you even greater .avi files).

I like this approach because it improves the quality of the final product.  I'll probably use it as my new workflow.  Again, thank you for your help.  Please comment if you see something that could be improved in the process.

I will mark this question as answered.  Well, the question was really answered, but the proposed solution seems to work well.

  • NEW BUG! -7.1 new update for SOUL still obliges to RE-Transcode Bluray files

    As the title says...

Before the update, you could Bluray (BLURAY H264) files and they appear in still as "do not transcode", but after the update all the exported files of the SOUL in the same Bluray H264 format appear as "not" transcoded in Encore and you are forced to re - transcode all over again for a 2nd time! Is this a bug? How can I get around this?

NOTE: All export made of SOUL before the update still shows as "Conversion not" in still... only new exports (later updated) force that you re-conversion a 2nd time.

I am pleased to announce that, with the SOUL of today, update to version 7.2, this problem has been resolved. The updated manual is now online:

    http://blogs.Adobe.com/AfterEffects/2013/12/Adobe-Media-Encoder-CC-7-2-December-2013-updat.html

If you want to update via Creative Cloud the update should be available later today.

  • ProRes to H.264 Blu - Ray, then get an overview of the problems with Encore CS5

    Hi all

I've been holding Media Encoder CS 5 90 minutes or so ProRes 422 (29.97 interlaced) QuickTimes and create Blu - Ray H.264 files for use in Encore CS5.  I use the maximum of 1080i quality setting and adjusting so that the target bit rate is 25mbps and max is 30.  By 2-pass VBR.

The issue I'm having is when I import these files into Encore CS5 and then preview them on a timeline they are artifacts in all directions.  They look like my cable signal when it breaks upward, except through the whole program.  I have re-transcoded in Media Encoder and am having the same problem.  I also tried transcoding in Encore (which is really the same thing), and it still persists.  I did not a BD - R again to check it and I know that the preview in Encore CS 5 is very buggy.  But I wonder - someone ' one run in this?  Is this just a preview issue, or is there something really wrong with him transcode?

Also, if anyone has a tip for where I can open the file *.m4v out Media Encoder so that I can check them somewhere else in again would be great.  VLC Player does not, nor does QuickTime.  Thank you all!

    Best,

    JD

Compressor didn't start to make videos compatible h.264 Blu - ray up to version 3.5. Videos in h.264 Blu - ray made in the compressor before 3.5 are not compatible Blu - ray, fail strict checking of yet and must be re-encoded.

If you are using Compressor 3.5 or newer, your Blu - ray h.264 files will import still very well and will not be re-transcoded.

  • Quality Blu - Ray

I just started with 4096 output format support and I'm sorting out the workflow.  I did a test clip in Premiere Pro and exported to the H.264 format while keeping the size of 4096. The .mp4 file plays fine on my screen without any quality problem.

Then I loaded this .mp4 file in Encore to create blu - ray disc.  All preferences are set by default.  I've been discs burning files 1080 for a long time and never had a problem.  But the disc finished this time is not read correctly.  When the camera pans with slowly the scene develops artifacts.  Or if the camera is still and the scene goes to the same thing happens.  For example when the camera is always and walks by bicycle by the image of the bike are doubled with a slight horizontal shift while the rest of the scene is perfect.  The TV and blu - ray player that I use are the same as always.  So the only variable in all this is the size of the file that I imported into yet.  I assumed the transcoding process would deal with the size of the source file.  Is it still possible just deals well with this file size?

I am not normally files import multiplexed in yet, but when I I don't have never seen this problem.   I tried to export from Premiere Pro using H.264 Blu - ray preset to create split video and audio files, but kept the transcoding, that's another question I need to sort out.

    Any thoughts are appreciated.

    Thank you

John describes the main reason you want to transcode twice.

If you still use to transcode, make sure that you have configured to use the SOUL. Yet integrated in transcode engine, I believe, is still based on the old authorcore of sonic. In any case, not as good.

My other thought here is one) something was wrong with the transcoding in Encore and b) something that happens when you want to encode from PR it will be easier the problems of the side PR/SOUL.

  • I have problems of rendering to dvd project Adobe QT32 does not

I have problems when it comes to building my DVD project. It takes a ridiculous time building 1 to 2 hours for a chapter of 20 minutes in my project. I use a Power Mac with OS 10.11 in the activity monitor I have a message that says Adobe QT 32 does not that I searched for it using Spotlight added directly to an empty folder is something missing or how can I resolve this issue. Thank you very much in advance for any help offered

Do you use evidence QuickTime sources yet? I don't know what else the QT32 (QuickTime 32 - bit) process has called to make a DVD. If so, try your clips on "DVD MPEG-2 encoding, which is the format (.m2v) really wants natively, before you import it into Encore. You can export the MPEG - 2 DVD from first, and the video should not require transcoding in Encore.

Have you driven in the DVD menus? Who can add at build time.

If using the "MPEG-2 DVD' coding does solve the problem, please share as much information as possible - workflow, screenshots, etc.

EDIT: I should have asked, what versions of first and yet? Using dynamic links?

  • questions - dvd has error message 'media Meanwhile' displayed

with suite cs5.5.  I created the dvd in cs5.1 yet.  The dvd has been created and when he looks, there are 8 seconds where the error message 'media Meanwhile' are perceived.  The dvd continues to play as if nothing had happened.  The audio played very well, even during the display of error messages.  So I check the chronology of the creation, the 'media pending' error does not appear.   The scene is superb in the first. But now that it is transcoded in encore, it appears not in yet, but again, this is after it is transcoded.  So what happened?  The video is 2 hours long. I look for this error message that might occur at random is not going to happen.

    Angela

    Hi Angela,.

The 'Media pending' message certainly looks like it's the chronology of the first, so there is no "error" with the current DVD or creation - still can only burn the content planned for it. Can be exported in again until all the clips in the first were made for example of loading. As Kevin says, export of first place. Use the file > export > Media and choose "MPEG-2 DVD' as FORMAT and choose a preset such as"NTSC DV Widescreen"or what is best for the video (we do not know your type of video source).

This will create .wav and .m2v video, audio and all clips simply import the two 'chronology as"again, and author. Audio allows you to convert to Dolby AC-3, the video should not transcode. Note that the media must be able to adapt the DVD to avoid transcoding, so you will need to adjust the speed of TRANSMISSION before encoding according to the duration of the program. For 2 hours, set 4.5, VBR 2 pass recommended.

    Thank you

  • I would like to make a simple DVD layer after successful burning double layer. But how?

Hi all. I have a good DVD double layer of 8.54 GB of a project yet. Now, I would like to make a single-layer disc 4.7 GB or a picture from the same project. How do I do that?

When I change the settings to disk information, the data remain too large for the small capacity disc/image. I don't know that I'm missing something simple here. Tried searching but couldn't find the answer.

And also, I'm having a similar problem if I wanted to burn a DVD from a project created for a blu - ray player?

If you transcoded in Encore, you select the active (not the timeline), right-click and "return to the original." If you transcoded before import into Encore, you go back to the source. You can select the asset and change the transcoding settings of "do not transcode" to a new setting, but this results in undesirable re-compression.

The question is similar to the first Bluray, but still trails transcode Bluray and DVD separately. Thus, "back them to the original" is not the issue. Still use the original asset, not the assets of Bluray. HOWEVER, if you have imported a file ready Bluray you exported from your application of editing (Pro/Adobe Media Encoder first), then you have the problem of double compression again. Exporting a different file to MPEG2-DVD.

In addition, HD to SD downrezzing doesn't do well in again.
