  Right, you can synchronize multiple mobile devices with a catalog on a single computer and have several collections in sync between multiple mobile devices and a catalog on a single computer.

  LR Mobile never had to synchronize catalogs or collections between several desktops / laptop. Even if you were to use the same exact catalog on each of your mobile computers LR would only synchronize with one of them.

  If it is on the same computer, you should be able to connect to allow Lightroom to know you now use your new monthly plan, the catalog file should be automatically usable with no addition step.

I would have to argue, however, that the catalogue is a compilation of all the pictures I imported in Lightroom and not only a database of all the images on my computer. And in some way I accidentally imported each image on my computer there are a all kinds of graphic images and photos in the catalog in the folder all photographs. Also I did not 37 000 photographs downloaded to my computer, but I 37 000 thumbnails in my catalog.

  In any case thanks for the link. I was looking for a tutorial of George Jardine I had looked at before, which covered the same info, but for some reason some went underground and I can not find.

  And since I am new to Lightroom and import all images without sorting them in files or setting up metadata and protocols of copyright, is possible that I could remove all the image links that are now in my catalog, so I can start over?

  Take the backup of the catalog in PSE 5-> backup catalog file... command and restore the catalog in PSE11 using the file-> Restore Catalog command. This would take care of your photos and also the relevant details in your catalog.

• Cannot transfer files between multiple PCs.

  I have 4 PCs; One with Windows 7, two with Windows Vista and one with XP.  I want to be able to transfer files between all four of the PC.  90% of the time, the Windows 7 and Vista systems cannot see the XP system in their network lists in the file Explorer.  Very frustrating.  All the PCs are in the same workgroup.  All have their hard drive to allow others to share and change the permissions.  I is almost as if mother Microsoft won't allow that to happen.  GRRRR

  The bases for troubleshooting are:

  1. make sure that you have the same (e.g., 192.168.0.x) intellectual property regime.

  2 make sure you have the same mask subnet, gateway, and DNS IP addresses.

  3. make sure you can ping the IP address of the other computer. Failure, just to test, make sure that you disable XP as well as any other firewall.

  4. make sure that you can test other computers by name.

  5. make sure that you have the same workgroup name (note the spaces)

  6. for purposes of troubleshooting, turn off XP and completely uninstall any other firewall software. You can always add more complexity once get you it working.

  7 with XP, make sure you have the same user name and password that the person by connecting to other computers. The default setting for XP Pro is to require a password for network access.

  However, you can delete the created catalog and keep the images folder structure.
