Transformation of the tool selections pen mobile dotted

I have a problem of PS that is confusing to me:

I create a mask for a handbag that has a chain link strap. I used the pen tool to make a selection around the outside. Then, I made a second selection to the inside part of the strap. Then, I went to the paths and load of the selection so that I can turn into a mask.

Outside selection charge very well and is currently part of my mask.

I have still the line tool pen inside my purse strap, but I can't seem to load mobile dotted.

Is there something that I am missing?

Thank you!

Ellen

After you have made the paths select the path Selection tool and set the option exclude overlapping shape areas, then the full

paths should take responsibility as a selection.

    Ivan,

If it's on the rectangular objects, you may have encountered the bug Rectangle Live which is limited to the MAC versions from 10.7 and 10.8, but not of 10.9 (Mavericks) or 10.10 (Yosemite). If all goes well, the bug will be fixed soon.

Thus, a switch for the Mavericks or Yosemite with a reinstall might be the way to solve it here and now.

To get around it, in each case, it is possible to develop direct Rectangles to get the normal old shaped rectangles or Pathfinder > unit, or use the scale tool or the free transform tool.

A more permanent way round that is to create normal old shaped rectangles, after running the free script created by Pawel, see this thread with download link:

  • Photoshop CS4 and the mysterious disappearance of mobile dotted...

There are about ten minutes I was pruning the pictures in Photoshop CS4, the marquee tools suddenly lost their mobile dotted.

Now, when I click on the Rectangle tool and drag to select an area, the outline of the selected area is invisible--until I have let go of the mouse when it pops up as a continuous line.

I guess I must have turned off the mobile dotted somehow in error. How can I turn on their return?

A quick search gives to think I can hit CTRL + H or command + H to put the moving dotted lines on and off. None of them work for me.

Other suggestions I've found are "reset" of the tool (how?) - or install a new video card, which should not be a problem in my case. I have installed the updates - what literally happened there, in the workplace.

I use a Mac, OSX 10.8.5 if that makes a difference...

It MUST be a simple solution "click on such and such." Thanks in advance if you know!

I think perhaps that you have encountered a bug of display driver (or the exhaustion of resources).  Try to save your work, quit Photoshop, then restarting him.  Chances are that the ants will return for your picnic baskets.

Press T, T to change the marquee selection tool pointer tool in Logic Pro X

Press ESC and 1 to change the marquee selection tool pointer tool in Logic 9

If you are talking about the white vertical line... Just click on the track or background to make it disappear.

or menu view Local - uncheck the marked ruler.

  • The tool using pen to draw a new object over an object

If I use the tool pen to make an object and then pass this object to another location. Then go to start a new object on top of that we're the first anchor point pen tools will start where was the original location of the objects. If I had to make a new object on another object, it's starting the anchor to this place. But if you start an object existing on the first anchor point is waaaay off to wherever was the original location of objects. I tried almost every parameter and you can not solve the problem.

Use another layer to create a different object.

  • Is it possible to get the name of the tool selected from a script?

    Hello

Is it possible to get the name of the tool currently selected from a script?

    I found this:

    https://forums.adobe.com/thread/579195

    https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2161923

But these works in Photoshop... So, it is possible to get the name of the tool currently selected in InDesign? Is there a universal method that will work in other applications?

I think that there is a toolBoxTools, app.toolBoxTools...

  • What has become of the tool select 'UI guide"to animate it?

    Heya

When I used Flash CS6, I would use the tool to select black to clean quickly and efficiently to the top of my brush lines.

When I pressed on the edge of a STROKE at cs6, it would happen:

    7ee6d1026c.png

In Animate is is no longer the caseand I can't find an option to turn it on. What gives?

It may seem as an improvement to have the line just move, but it really does determine the place where to refine the hard line for me.

It was indeed a practical mini onion skin. I rely on this feature and it's frustrating to have a familiar, part apparently benign, yet an integral part of a tool just suddenly going to miss.

I am simply not find a corresponding activation button? And if it isn't a plus, which added?

    Thank you Mad.

    Hello

Reshape the selection tool is still available in Animate but Animate using a live preview. You can turn on layer edges, so that you can narrow down the line the way you want to.

    Thank you!

  • Take the tool does not. Take the tool selected - can see the hand but will not take anything

    Hello

I'm new to photoshop and I am currently working through the tutorials on Lynda.com to learn as much as I can, but I'm stuck at the minute. Tutorials wants me to use the Snipping Tool to move an image and no matter what I do nothings moving. I selected the tool and see that it is selected and that the needle moves on the image but it is not striking, no selection.

I also did with the letter to select the capture tool. Once again, this works, but will not take anything.

Any entry in this problem would be highly appreciated. Thank you

    Hi Clara-beautiful,

Hand tool is running when your image is enlarged and that you want to move to a specific part of the image.

You must move your image with the mouse after a zoom once you have selected the hand tool.

Are you a person following the same steps in workflow or other?

  • Problem with the tool photoshop pen and little

Hello, I have a problem with the tool feather of Photoshop cs5. I can barely see paths im making. Is it possible to fix it?

Isee the pen tool paths im how's it's just makes it miserable to use this tool:

    http://ImageShack.us/photo/my-images/18/85169959.jpg/

You can barely see the paths (I did a few trails to show the photos.)

Secondly, in the bottom of the file it says "Exhibition in 32-bit only", even though I have windows 7 64-bit and 64-bit photoshop cs5.

    How to solve these problems?

    Thank you.

The thing that says 32-bit exhibition (has nothing to do with what version of cs5 your use) could be here because you have already opened or created a document in 32-bit/channel mode.

You can change what appears here by clicking on the little arrow and choose something else.

  • Problem with the tool Selection stuck in Mode 'deselect '.

    Hello

I'm having some trouble with my Adobe Photoshop elements 11.  I was using the program to work on multiple images earlier (png or JPEG) and for some reason, the selection tool found in 'Deselect' mode. The selection circle is filled permanently with the symbol 'Less' and will do anything with the first click - Select only then it deselects everything. I tried pressing and pressing the ALT key, I tried to close the program, I even tried to restart my computer none of this is the resolution of the problem. I'll have to reinstall the whole program, or are there other ideas out there?

With the selected tool go to the options bar (bottom right) and click the menu drop-down menu icon - see image below - choose Reset tool.

  • The tool using pen to customize the police...? ! ? !

When you use the pen in illustrator for the addition of "brilliant" to the police... how pieces round off the ends of the lines, for example in this clip art of speed (white lines)...

Also im guessing it uses also the width tool to change the width of these lines?

  • Resizing with the tool Selection ALWAYS resizes proportionally - how to disable?

For some reason any my copy of InDesign CC now ALWAYS resizes the image frame proportionally when dragging a handle with the selection tool. I guess it's a preference, but I can't find one to turn it off. Help, please?

Restart my MacBook Pro has seemed to work. Never underestimate the power of power off. Thanks anyway!

  • Speed of the tool Selection

    I'm using Photoshop CS2.

I want to I like to use the selection tools in a zoomed view. When I use one of the selection toolsand try to move in any of the image that is out of the window, instead of scrolling through to speed reasonable he zips across the page as a sort of demented and very boring rocket launcher. I tried slowwing my mouse all the way to the minnimum speed, and it still does the same thing. How do I slow it down?

    Welcome to the forum.

Yes, this happens a lot, and not just with the PS and the selection tools. You should see WordPerfect, when I drag to Select - it is a blur and I can't seem to stop, until he was selected in the document - dang, these fast computers.

Now, let's see if a change in your workflow can help. When you get near the edge of your point of view, do not pass the margin of scrolling of the promotion. Instead, hold down the SPACEBAR to get 'the hand '. Scroll manually to the next area, that you want to work and release the space bar to return to your selection tool. It works fine for me.

    Good luck

    Hunt

  • I have problems to select any object in Illustrator. When I use the tool Selection (V) it does not select the whole shape, but leaves the contoured selection and the appearance of anchor.

    illustratoçr.png

    illustratoçrf.png

In Figure 1 we can see how the object is selected and the option to increase and decrease the size by clicking on the path and dragging it.

In figure 2 we can see that the selection has changed and there are now around the anchor Fig . This prevents the increase in size of the figure .

In your second picture, the bounding box is hidden.

Go to view > see the bounding box

    Move B Cmd (Mac)

    Shift Ctrl B (Win)
