• transmission of data to flex embedded swf

  I am trying to create a custom component in my flex application, which would imitate a progress bar. I intend to use it to show the progress being made on an investigation - for example: If the user answers to questions half the progress bar indicates half full.
  
  I am new to Flex and not to know of an easy way to do this without incorporation of a custom swf file. If I go this way is there a way to pass data from flex to my swf to update status? Or is there a way to do this directly in Flex?

  You use that, or any other method and simply draw using the graphics/Sprite classes, or use something like Degrafa, Flex has a built-in progress bar. You can also integrate an AS3 SWF using SWFLoader, or as a SWC from Flash. This probably in the top 5 most frequently asked questions on this forum, so you should find something fairly quickly.

  Let's say I have two containers (Container1 = application, Container2).  Container1 receives data from user, do some search database and displays Container2 with database search results.

  -Container1 (call and display)-> Container2

  Below shows how I use a bindable variable in container1 for transmitting data of container1 in Container2.  Also shows how to display Container2 of container1.

• Unable to sent data from jsp to the oracle database

  I'm creating a web application. to do this, I want to create a registration page. and this registration details should be stored in the database.

  There is a servlet as well in the same folder and is accessible from an another jsp. but this servlet is not accessible, even if I used the same code it is used for the servlet which has already worked for me

  Check the map for this servlet and make sure that you send to the path that you have mapped the servlet to.
  Also, write the resuable, testable code by pulling all these calls database of servlet in Java classes that are reusable and testable outside of servlet technology. You will find that your code will be easier to read and write if the concerns are well separated like that.

• Project is unable to get data from the server when more Flex Builder

  I have a strange problem...
  
  I have a flex project that communicates with multiple PHP files (which are located on a server). These are works very well when I run Flex Builder. For some reason, however it cannot communicate with the PHP files when I download or copy the files from the project elsewhere.
  
  I thought it might be a problem with some relative paths. But I discovered that although the project works when I run it from pojectFolder/bin/main.html, it does not work if I remove it from Flex Builder (without deleting the project files) and run it from the same file main.html .

  What you met sounds like a security sandbox issue. When you develop a SWF file using either Flex Builder or the Flash IDE, the SWF file is placed in a security sandbox ' local trust. This means that it can access any resource that is convenient for the development. But when you move the SWF to a server, the SWF file will have a ' remote' security security sandbox and then different rules apply. Using a crossdomain.xml on the remote resource file should solve the problem.

  I have an old HP PC with an IDE hard drive, running windows XP.  I want to transfer data from hard drive to a newer HP Pavilion computer on windows Vista. Need instructions on how to transfer the data and what toos hardware and software are needed.

  So if I understand correctly, while questions of kind is interesting and to solve, the real problem is that, at the time when the data are displayed in the comboBox control, is no longer in the order in which the data in when you browse the data to create the collection?

• Send data from a pop-up window

  I place various controls in the pop-up window. And I transfer data to the main application. I tried to use the method proposed here http://www.adobe.com/livedocs/flex/201/html/wwhelp/wwhimpl/common/html/wwhelp.htm?context= LiveDocs_Book_Parts & file = layouts_065_50.html, but fails to send the variables, that text in the textbox control.

  How can I pass variables (data) from the main application pop-up windows? Or how close a popup window to call a function of the main application?

  You can call and pass the data to the function in the main application of the file using... Application.application.SomeFunc (param1, param2);

  In your pop-up... depending on the removePopUp() file...

  Application.application.SomeFunc ("Value1", "Value2"); where somefunc is public service defined in the main application file...

  Function of the main application file

  write your logic

  }

  You can also follow another approach using custom events... Dispatch a custom event say "popUpCloseEvent" and dispatches the event in your function removePopUp() and listen to this event in your main application and manage your logic in the main application.

  It's the best approach, as I say, that you can use at any time.

  So are proper date objects.

The user will enter a zip code in a form and click a button to get all the records in a MySQL database that match the zip code entered by the user. I have configured MySQL database and I can return all records from a PHP page. What I have to do now is create the form and the code PHP to call the MySQL database. In the Flex application, I want to fill a ComboBox with data from a table in SQL Server to server05. Is it possible even if they are on different servers and server05 has web access? Thank you.

• Remove data from the HD Server?

  I've recently updated my OS to 10.12 Sierra and went to install Server.app. However, when trying to install Mac OS Server, I received the following message:

  "This the server version does not support upgrading the server from data on this volume. To upgrade your database server, you need to install an older version of the server and OS X."

  ***? In what universe would be an acceptable solution? Now, the fact is that I probably had installed Server.app before on a very old version of Mac OS (not sure which) and just never bothered to upgrade during the last major revision of OS X or more.

  What that is, how can I get rid of these old "data server" so I can install a new copy? Thank you.

  Wondering how to remove the data from the server that you had before the upgrade to Sierra? If so, delete the folder/Library/Server and the.app to / applications. Then go to the App Store and buy the latest version of the server. I'm guessing that your last purchase server had Yosemite and that's why try to install the server to the App Store / Shopping does not work. I did purchase the server from Yosemite.
