  Hello... I'm doing two things really simple

  1. I started a project as transparent image. I added a layer and I would make up the new show of Lapointe as non-transparent. Can someone explain how to make this adjustment?

  a way to delete an effect and which is CTRL + Z (undo), but this works only momentarily and once I might have several changes cancel become unparctical.

  That's what I know the issue of layer styles:

  You can double-click a little difficult to see the fx icon to the right of the

  thumbnail of the layer to change your layer and then under drop shadow styles you can

  adjust the opacity of the shadow.

  The symbol of fx, the layer has a layer style.

  

  

  Erase the layer styles is to go to layer > layer Style > clear layer Style.

  You can also click with the right button on the layer in the layers panel and choose the transparent layer Style.

  If you just want to temporarily hide the layer style, choose hide all effects, then

• Opacity and transparency regarding the layer styles lost on rasterize/flatten/merge down (cs6)

  So, I'm working on a project and I do a button and I came across a problem that I don't normally have with that special touch... I don't know why it's happening or how to fix... but it's pretty boring. I wonder if anyone can help or if this is a known bug or something like that!

  So I have three files for three different States and within each folder are several layers, some with layer styles (he seems to be degraded who play here to the top and opacity associated), other styles of layer with no just lowered opacity. I need to flatten each file to create the button sprites. The problem is... I put flat file and it seems to disable the gradient layer of related styles, and whatever it is reduced opacity is tilted up to 100%. I tried to go through and Pixelation delinquency, invidiual layers. The same problem. I tried to create empty layers and merge down the offending layers. The same problem.

  Yes, I think you ask Photoshop to do something that he cannot do. A layer can have only a blending mode. Or it can have a blend mode, then adding effects with a mix of different modes. When you merge in a single layer, you're going to lose this.

  This must be one of my pet hates in PS or simply I have not worked out how to do.

  Say I have an oval shape, and I want this oval shape to be transparent opacity of 0% to full gradient of opacity of 100%.

  I always just grabbed a soft Eraser brush and cut through doing this in the past because I didn't otherwise.

  One way would be to change the opacity of the fill to zero in blending options, then use a gradient overlay.

  Here's a way to do it:

  1. create a new layer on top and fill it with a solid color (any color, white will do).

  2. put the 'Fill' layer to 0% - not 'opacity', 'Fill '. See the image below.

  3. Add your layer style. Layer styles are not affected by the transparency of the fill.

  Before work plans have been introduced, we should create a new file and the background, if chosen to be transparent, was by default a grid of squares grey and white light.

  Is it possible to do for work plans? Currently, the background is white by default - although it is not a filling on the layer. When I apply a style to the layer 1 (layer by default created during the creation of the artboard), allows to use the color overlay, for example, unless the layer 1 is filled with a color, it shows not the applied style. This causes confusion for me once when exporting in PNG as well - I think that the background is filled with white, and it is transparent.

  I would like to return to the days of old when I saw the square grid indicating that most background layer is not a filler. Someone has found a way to do it? I tried the settings, and unless my coffee did not hit again, I can't find where to change.

  If it's a layer style and your text has a fill (all-solid), you can put the text layer in a group. Add your new layer for the group style. Add the desired above the Group fill color and hang it on the group.

  If the text has been rasterized, you can just lock the transparency of the layer and then fill the entire layer with any color you want also, then add a new layer style.

  These two things will work with CS6.

• Stock adjustment layer style

  I use PS CS4 and I use stocks for years.  However, about a year or two ago they started to act weird.  All of my custom actions follow a similar workflow: open file, file size, make transparent, add the layer style, export in PNG and, finally, to close the file.

• Cannot 'ok' layer Style settings

  First time using Photoshop Elements (version 10). I'm looking to create web buttons. I have two layers. One is a transparent background. The other is rounded rectangular to be used as a button box. Well, I added color. But when I try to add settings of layer style (bevel) to make it look like a button, the preview is fine but there is no buttons at the bottom of the window to save the style settings (OK). The window is pulled up so that there is plenty of room on my screen but the window ends just after "learn more on Style Layers.

  So, I can not save the style settings.

  Just be changed up to 1280 x 720 and it is fixed. I now have buttons. The screen is not quite as strong, but it's worth the trade-off.

• Filter in real-time / layer style plugin

  Is it possible at all to write a plugin to filter which is applied in real time, that the user draws on a layer?

  I think of something similar to the layer styles (for example, drop shadow) which are applied immediately while the user draws on a canvas. As far as I can see, there is no API to add new styles of filter, but there is perhaps a work around for similar behavior by using filters?

  I want to create a filter/style simple mirror reflecting the right side of a layer on the left side as the user draws on a layer, because it would be very useful for the design of symmetric structures.

  Or could be achieved using multiple layers? For example, 2 layer on top of layer 1, where half right of layer 2 is completely transparent and half left of layer 2 contains a mirror of layer 1 version? But then how could it be continually updated Layer 2 while the user draws on layer 1?

  You can do within your plugin, as does fluidity.

  But, as explained in the SDK, you can not write a plugin that lives of the updates on the document or add layer styles.

  Regarding symmetrical painting - which is already available in Photoshop Extended using 3D texture mapping.

• How to set a layer style and not have some shape layers overlap?

  When you want to delve into problems the first thing we do is select all the layers that you have problems with, press the U key to reveal all changed properties and analyze what you see in the timeline panel. I guess right here because you don't have given us no indication of your workflow, but it makes sense that you have applied the two-tier drop shadow layer style. I'm just guessing that you used the Layer Styles and not the effect due to the title of your post.

  Since you already have the animation and now want to add a drop shadow the best thing to do would be to compose two layers prior shape and then apply a layer style or effect to the demo. Looks like you have the shadow applied to all text as layers so it would make sense to dial previously all layers, you want to have

  I probably would have used a rectangle rounded, converted the rectangle rounded for a Bézier path and the shape of the path of animation and used paths pads to get the circle to rectangle rounded on a layer of simple shape animation but I certainly would be made first before you add the same effect to all layers.

• Half of the layer styles are missing

  All of a sudden, when I double click on a layer to apply a style, half of them disappeared.

  Hi Alohayamuna,

  Click on the "fx" icon in the lower left corner of the layer Style dialog box, and then choose "Reset to default list." (See below)

  Note the entry for "Remove Hidden effects;" this will hide all entries that are not in use. Reset bring em all.

• Can I copy the image adjustments in another image if I didn't not use layer styles and adjustment layers in Photoshop?

  Sorry but no, this is not possible. It was possible, if you had used adjustment layers instead of making the adjustment directly on the image.

  Using adjustment layers is the best way forward: it is non-destructive; It can always be changed later or even completely deleted, and he has a mask that allows you to restrict the adjustment on the only parts of the image. And it can be saved for later reuse...
