Try to identify what Nvidia graphics card I have

My system is a Studio XPS 8000, built at the end of 2009, with Win 7 Pro (64).

I've been going crazy for hours trying to figure out which card I. I had to reformat the hard drive and reinstall the OS. I know it's a GeForce. The Nvidia site keeps returning me to the site of Dell, so I've been chasing my tail like a dog all day searching for an answer.

The Device Manager shows just generic vga. I would like to reinstall the Nvidia control software and upgrade the driver, but I need to know how freakin card ' is to do. It is the original map. The configuration of the system (page tech Dell) depicted thus:

9JDYJ (exhibit no.) 1 (quantity) CARD (CIRCUIT), CHART, GOLD TECH SUPPORT, 240, P118N
I hope someone can answer this question. I took it out that night to look for an ID, but no luck.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

9JDYJ (exhibit no.) 1 (quantity) CARD (CIRCUIT), CHART, GOLD TECH SUPPORT, 240, P118N
Google, the part number 9JDYJ and you will find it is a GTS 240.

Adobe first Pro CS5.5 / specification tecniques (http://www.adobe.com/products/premiere/tech-specs.html) lists the graphics cards that can be used to accelerate video editing. I want to set up a system similar to what Dave Helmly is described (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aqi_qivG82c) with a computer 3D monitor and 3D TV secondary screen. However, the 3D monitors that I saw as an Asus (http://usa.asus.com/Display/LCD_Monitors/VG236H/#overview) indicate graphics cards Nvidia that no overlap with those specified on the website of the organization. Also, I found no towers locally that come with an appropriate Nvidia card. I found some that have a free PCIe slot. I need two cards in any case; However, the graphics card that comes with some of these machines specifies a maximum resolution of 2560 x 1600.

    Here are my questions:
    (1) what Nvidia graphics cards are both supported by the Organization and support of 3D monitors? I'm looking on the bad feedback? The Alienware site does not specify which graphics cards are compatible.
    (2) if the integrated video card has a maximum resolution of 2560 x 1600, does mean that if I want resolution 1920 x 1080 for each of the two eyes I need format (output HDMI to 3D TV) alternate-frame sequencing?

I have not bought equipment yet, I am looking for options that work. Thanks for your help.

Hi Dennis, you need one of the Quadro graphics cards to do what you want (use the Nvidia 3D output). GTX cards will be released to a secondary 3D display, but only side by side and more to the title. I have a GTX 480 which I use with the body and Neo, main monitor is 2560 x 1600 (non - 3D), my secondary monitor is a Sony 32 "3D TV on which I discovered 3D since the timeline and FirstLight mode side by side. To be honest, I change and cut in 2d mode and really only use the monitor 3d for the color calibration (which is different for 3D 2D because of the need to reduce areas of contrast high which cause ghost images) and for the z depth of positioning for the composition and titles.

    Hello
I buyed a Tecra M4 and don't know what graphics card I have...
The shop said, it's a gforce go 6600 with 64 MB, but now I've read, that there is only one with 64 MB 6200 and 6600 with 128 MB...
Windows and analyse the tools to say, it is "NVIDIA GeForce GO 6200 TE 64 MB / 6600 128 MB TE...»
So, how can I know which one I have?

    Hello

Have you checked the Device Manager? I think that here you can find a s information on your subject of an integrated graphics card.
The second possibility is the use of the DirectX tool. Please enter in the window RUN the dxdiag command. Then the directx should appear, and you will find the detailed description on the graphics card and the properties.

But as far as I know that the Tecra M4 has been delivered with nVIDIA GeForce FX Go6200 64 MB or 128 MB card nVIDIA GeForce Go6600 FX.

  • Qosmio G30 - nVidia graphics card failure

    Hello

as the title says my graphics card went kaput on Qosmio G30, who is 14 months old.

I read in some places that could be the problem with the generation of nvidia graphics cards.
Does anyone have any info on this subject because I have just quoted entre.6 and 1.8 k for what fixed it.
This graphics card is separate from the motherboard or this prob will result in a new motherboard. If anyone has any info I would be very grateful, thank you, thomas

PS for some reason that I could not connect with my username (yetchh) original so had to create a new account, have no idea why?

    Hi Thomas

    That s a pity :(
Especially the GPU (graphics chip) is attached to the motherboard. He welded s and replacement is not easy.

There are several Lepidoptera, I called the ASP in my country because I needed some info on replacing the CPU on my old laptop and the guy said that the replacement of the CPU or GPU is not easy and is not possible.

Well, what to say I think you should contact the authorized service provider in your country for replacement of equipment.

But I wonder why you come in on costs?
The laptop is about 14 months. If you have registered your laptop on the Toshiba page, you should get a 2 year warranty which should focus on the laptop.

So all pieces of equipment should be replaced for free.

    Original title: DISPLAY cards.

    Hello

I have 2 graphics cards: (NVIDIA GEforce GT520M) and (inter (R) HD GRAPHICS FAMILY) and two of them are enabled

    My question is:

    1. really is that both are enabled because as my display name: Intel(r) HD

2 - can I change my inter (r) to nvidia graphics card?

    Hello

Contact Nvidia and see what they have to say about that.

    Here is the link:

  • update errors, nvidia graphics card.

Hello, I have a problem that I can not update my nvidia graphics card, I saw a post here and tried to re install but it says "graphics card cannot find compatible graphics hardware" and if I try to open the nvidia Control Panel it says "a NVIDIA graphics card has not detected in your system". In Device Manager it shows GT 630 M and 650 M, tried to download two nvidia drivers, but still get this error message.

PS my cell phone is samsung NP550P5C-A02UK and I tried to download the drivers from the Samsung support for my laptop Web site still nothing.

    Hello

Thanks for the reply and sorry for the inconvenience caused.

After looking at the error code, we can get to two conclusions:

    • Graphics card problem.
    • The problem with the graphics drivers.

I suggest to uninstall the current drivers from Device Manager first, learn more about how to remove devices from Device Manager please visit the link below:

    Hello

The 690 NVIDIA is only a 'chimera' at the moment. We'll see what happens after the rumor launched as of April 28.

Open the Z1 HP if you have a look at available power connectors and also note the size of the power supply. The Z800 with 875 watt POWER supply can operate according to the available power connectors.

I'm worried create anything on after effects incase it cannot record because of this problem.

Your graphics card can't do ray traced 3D, so (ray traced 3D) it will be not very usable with large 3D scenes. Not a problem really unless what you AE for. You can still use the program. It's just a warning your graphics card does not minimum requirements for "ray 3D" features drawn, although it will still work, the CPU can do it too, but the classic rendering engine is generally fine for 3D in AE

  • What for CS4 & first CS5.5 NVIDIA graphics card?

I just upgraded to CS5.5 Production Premium, but I'm still using XP 32 bit. This means that I had to load the version of CS4, Premiere and After Effects. Sooner or later I'm going to 64-bit Win, but in the meantime what graphics card will give me the best value for money and still be useful for CS5.5 later? Money is not a problem, I don't want to pay for something and not benefit from. What's worse, is that adobe doesn't even list most recent maps as the 8800 and Quadro FX for CS4! Were not cards GTX available before CS5 is released? I need to update a file in CS4 applications for them to accept cards for the treatment of the GPU?

Adobe and NVIDIA continue to push the Quadro cards but when you look at the benchmarks looks than both GTX cards. I will use the system for a game sometimes DX11 is a must. I have a watercooled i7 920 OC @ 4.0 GHz and very stable, time never exceed 60 ° C at full load. I have 6 GB of RAM and you use a memory manager to access the RAM on XP can use and use it for virtual mem and caches etc. But my current graphics card is one OC slightly had 9800GT w / 512MB. My system doesn't like rub video that is not rendered unless it's at lower resolutions and of course I made to be as fast as possible.

    Looking around I see:

    GTX560-TI @ $240

    GTX570 @ $300

    GTX480 @ $300

    GTX570 @ $300

    GTX580 @ $460

    Quadro 4000 @ $550

    Quadro 5000 @ $1200

So, what is the secret? Where's the sweet spot?

    TIA

    M. issues,

IMO, it of the case of 570, but check here to decide if the 560 or 580 maybe better alternatives for you: http://ppbm5.com/MPE%20Charts.php

  • Photoshop error with nVidia graphics card driver.

    Hello

Assuming that your system meets, or in the case of your vid card, exceeds the minimum requirements of the CS5 system, I would be leaning on Nvidia for a solution to the question of pilot - is applied a fix to an existing driver or to help you identify an older driver version that is compatible with the configuration that you have running. You do not provide a lot of information here, the model # and/or specifications of the HP system your quadro card works in 32 or 64 bit OS, using cs5 32 or 64-bit, or exactly which version of the driver is running your graphics card. NVIDIA, or anyone trying to help you with this question, going to need this information.

A quick google search brings up some success showing the problems of this nature. Just one example, the Adobe forums, a year ago: http://forums.adobe.com/message/3142008.

The question in this post was not marked as "resolved", but it illustrates there may be several different issues leading to your error message. I would recommend looking in the Adobe forums, you can find a solution? Or, at the very least, you will be able to exclude some things for when you report the problem to Nvidia.

During this time, obviously: did you always have this problem? If this is not the case, have you tried rolling back to use a driver Nvidia oldest, known for work with your version of cs5?

You mentioned that you updated the driver less than two months ago. It seems that the latest driver available from Nvidia is dated August 12, 2011. What is the date of the driver you are currently using?

    Good luck.
