Try to install with a LSI2008: SAS 9211-8i but no drive detected

I bought this card a few months ago:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16816118112

I found these two things in the compatibility list:

http://partnerweb.vmware.com/comp_guide2/detail.php?deviceCategory=io & productid = 20047

http://partnerweb.vmware.com/comp_guide2/detail.php?deviceCategory=io & productid = 13971

This first link to the compatibility list refers to the 13.00.00.00 fw version. I have the last fw which 13.00.xx.00 iv. When I load the ESXi 5 of CD installer I arrived at point selection HDs to install, but no disks are detected, and both local and remote storage lists are empty. I've been running KVM virtualization here, but I'm interested in trying vmware. Any tips to get it going?

I don't know if it's relevant, but I also have these pieces of hardware:

    CPU: http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16819115083

    HD: http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16822145475

MBoard: http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16813182252

Any other information you need to be able to help me, just ask.

You need to inject the driver in your Installer ISO

You can download ESXi 5 installer ISO and iso driver and using ESXiCustomizer to add on the ISO.

ESXiCustomizer can be found at: http://v-front.blogspot.com/p/esxi-customizer.html

The value default ISO some driver is not inside the ISO and make sure that your device is in compatibility lists.

Hope this helps you.
