Turn on Touch screen Pavilion 23

I have a Pavilion 23-B219c.    Only had about 2 weeks.   I think that, when I first put in place, there was a question about ENTRY and I chose '' mouse. ''   But now the touchscreen does not work.   How can I activate the touch screen features?  THX.

Hi RobKes.

Some models of this machine offers touchscreen. Your manual click here.

If you are not sure if it is a model to screen touch or not. You can check in the control panel. Press the Windows key + C to open charms, type in the Panel. Open the control panel. Select system and security and open. Select system and open. This screen should tell you if it's a touchscreen or not. If it is not listed as a touchscreen and you chose this option, you can consider to return this model and make one with this option.  If it is a touch screen model and you still do not see the stylus and touch settings. as you suggest it, or that it's just about 3 weeks, it would be in warranty and you can call the HP support, you can be back to Best Buy.  Please contact our technical support at the 800-474-6836. • 23_d160qd: ENVY23 loss of Touch Screen after restoring to factory settings

He cleaned my system to the point wheer it wouldn't start. Touch screen worked before the restoration. He also had the problem of mouse and keyboard solved.  I can't find any setting that allows you to turn the touch screen.

Problem solved. After the restart attempt did not work tried l a stop then power up and problem was gone and touchscreen has been authorized.

  • HP Pavilion 11 x 360: Touch Screen has suddenly stopped working?

I am on Windows 10 and recently, I decided to update my drivers using driver Booster. Everything worked well and I had no previous problem with this laptop or Windows 10. Once I have completed their update, it prompted me to restart my computer, and after that he started upward, the touchscreen stopped working. For this reason, I am almost certain that it is a driver problem. I looked on other forums and have tried many suggestions. So far I have

-Restarting my laptop (of countless times)

-Disabled and enabled the "HID-compliant wireless radio controls.

-Unchecked the boxes that say "allow this computer to turn off this device to save power" under "Universal Serial Bus controllers".

-Update the drivers (it just tells me that the best version is already installed)

-I have restored the laptop because I'm not entirely sure how to do it correctly.

It doesn't let me roll back the touch screen drivers. When I choose "show devices" extra touch screen drivers appear, but as the "HID-compliant touch" screen say now, "this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)

To resolve this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer. "under the status of the device.

I have no idea how to reconnect the material and I do not understand how it is even not connected.

I am beyond confused and frustrated and don't know what else to do. Please help if you think you might know what to do! All advice is appreciated. Thank you!

    Hi there @StevieRachelle3,

Thank you for joining the Forums HP's Support and welcome! It is a great place to ask questions, find solutions and get help from others in the community! I read your post on the Forums of HP Support. I wanted to join you and help! I understand that the touchscreen on your PC portable HP Pavilion 11 x 360 stopped working after you did an update.

You mentioned that you used a program called driver Booster to make the driver updates.

Please follow these steps to see if you can activate the touch screen:

    • Open the Device Manager
    • Find "Human Interface Devices"
    • Expand "Human Interface Devices"
    • Right-click on "touch screen HD compliant."
    • Click 'Activate' (if available)
    • Restart your laptop.

If this does not change anything, please use the system restore feature and choose a date that was before the problems began.

To use the system restore in Windows 10:

    • Go to the Search
    • Type of Control Panel
    • Click on Control Panel
    • Click System
    • Click on the System Protection
    • Click the System Protection tab
    • Click on System Restore
    • Click Next
    • Select "Choose a different restore point"
    • Click Next
    • A box that says "Restore your computer to the State it was in prior to the event selected" will pop up
    • Choose event
    • Click Next
    • Click Finish
    • Click Yes to confirm

When the system restore is complete, you'll be up a pop that says that it has been completed.

Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant, if you need it. Simply download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system that need updated.

You can also use the Windows updates to update the drivers or you can go to the page HP Pavilion 11 x 360 Notebook PC Driver and software to update the drivers manually.

  • How to make it turn off the touch screen?

I don't want to use the touch screen. How to turn off the it? It is activated by all sorts of things, like my touch cat's tail, or an insect landing on it, or a curtain blowing against it. I don't type using the screen, I prefer the keyboard that I can not type quickly on the screen. I would like to turn off the touch screen when I use it not (most of the time), or even permanently - it is not useful for what I want to do that the screen is not as sensitive or as fast as the input devices that I usually use.

Hi, I have a HP TouchSmart 320-1030, so it can work on your touch screen:

    1. Press Windows + X logo.
    2. Select Device Manager from the list.
    3. Click on the small arrow next to Interface devices to expand the list.
    4. Click the touchscreen driver (in my case, Voltron NextWindow touch screen).
    5. Right click and select disable from the list.
    6. Click Yes in the dialog box that asks you if you are sure you want to disable the touch screen driver.

When you want your touchscreen to work again, follow the above procedure, EXCEPT when right-clicking on the touch screen driver, select enable.

Need information about touch screen not touch conversion. Is this fair?

Thank you for sharing the details of the problem. I want to help you.

As per the technical specifications, HP does not recommend doing this upgrade / downgrade parts or software.

Even then, if you want to do, it will be almost the cost of the computer itself. Not feasible.

It will be in your sole discretion to do so.

I hope this helps. Let me know to learn more.

    Happy announcement.

  • HP Pavilion x 360 n014na: HP Pavilion x 360 n014na touch screen not working not not after installing Windows 8.1

Please help, I'm desperate.  I searched for weeks without any solution.  I have a HP Pavilion x 360 n014na, when I bought it I installed Linux immediately and have been using it this way without problem.

However, I decided that I wanted to go back to 8.1 for Windows as the main operating system.  I was not able to make a USB recovery in time when I bought the laptop, so I used a legal copy obtained directly from Microsoft.  It has detected my BIOS on the product key and activated correctly, all devices work.   Except the touchscreen unresponsive.

I went to the support page for my machine model, downloaded and updated all the drivers.  There is NO drivers for the touch screen.  I contacted Microsoft, the drivers are provided by HP and they have not.

I have seen that others complain and no resolution, just a pointer to a page for Windows 8 (not 8.1) with outdated information.  It is NOT a hardware problem.  It IS a driver problem, IE. There is no driver available anywhere.  I am not a novice, I have worked with computers professionally for decades.

Need help please, I just need a link to the driver, not a page with obsolete or non-applicable information.

No, no.  Having to purchase replacement media is not a solution.  I said I got a legal copy of the Microsoft Windows Installer, I have a product key integrated in the BIOS.  I won't spend more money for something that I own.

As it is a common complaint, here's what I did:

The solution was to check the HP drivers for I2C and GPIO are present and loaded correctly, he will be seen in the device under "Human Interface devices" Manager  They appear originally HID-compliant touch screen driver, get these right and the touchscreen should work after a reboot.  I had to install both times that something must have gone wrong the first time.

  • HP Pavilion 17-e117dx NO TOUCH SCREEN

HP Pavilion e117dx 17, NOT the SCREEN TOUCH...

Hi people... I have a question for my 17 news of HP Pavillion-e117dx, which is a NO TOUCH SCREEN. I can't find what it listed on the site of HP. So the specs are the same as the model of 17-e117dx Touch screen HP Pavilion. Also can I have the RAM (sharp) updated without voiding the warranty.  I found little ram on the site crutial for my HP model. How much is allowed for this laptop. Theres 4 concerts in what are now 8 gigs the limit for Windows 8.1. Thanks for your help.

    Hello:

While I do not work for HP, I would say that the specs are the same.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c04261840

The maintenance manual (Chapter 5) indicates that you can install it yourself the memory.

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c04069163.PDF

This means that you do not cancel the guarantee that if you break something trying to install memory.

You will find all the info you need in Chapter 1 of memory regarding service upgrade info manual.

  • Touch screen no longer works a few days ago on my HP Pavilion 23

Hello, I know not what is there, all of a sudden my touchscreen is not working. I did all the steps, like trying to put in place and re - calibrate, easy troubleshooting but touchscreen is insensitive.

    Hello @Lee1965,

I understand that your touch screen of your HP Pavilion 23 has stopped working. I suspect that it is the result of an update which did not correctly on your computer. I'm you provide a HP support document: use Microsoft System Restore (Windows 8), that will guide you in the process of restoring your computer to when the touch screen worked as it should.

This can happen from time to time with an update that regardless of how the update is ready no two computers are exactly identical and variables which are unexpected creep upward. Normally these variables affect our computers nor affects any part of that we will never use so don't notice do not. Other times that they affect the things we use as your touch screen. Windows offers the possibility to return to until the problem occurred for the same reason.

Please re-post if you need extra support. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!
