• How to get forms to ignore the default text in the fields during the validation of LiveCycle Designer

  Hiya,

  I'm test ss4 Designer to create a simple form that is submitted by e-mail.

  Everything works except for my text boxes...  They are implemented in the form of required fields, but because I've included the text by default with the instructions, if you press on submit without changing the fields, they will not validate as empty and does not throw an error message.

  I searched the forums all day for a fix, but I'm too new to understand where to put the code, etc.  I tried to add

  ' text {! = placeholder}' in the validation box but model that does not work...

  All I have is LiveCycle Designer and I'm on windows 7.  Thanks for your help!

  There is a script editor.  If you select the field, then you will be able to select the event in the 'Show' taking place (above the 'Design' tab), and then the code window will be active and you can enter your code.  You can extend the default value of a single line.

  Trigger object: LINE_SUM_FOLDER
  Condition: INV_SUM_FOLDER. POSTING_FLAG_DISPLAY = "Yes".
  Processing mode: the two (be sure to change this value at a time)

  Actions tab:
  Type: property
  Object type: block
  Target the object: LINE_SUM_FOLDER
  Property name: UPDATE_ALLOWED
  Value: false

  Validate the personlization and save the record. Close all the forms and update. It does not update a value in the record of the line. It worked for me.

  I have a form with 2 text fields: position and end of starting position. When a user fills in a numeric value in the two position position and end of starting, I want to add a validation if an error is thrown when the final position is less than the starting position.
  
  I tried to add a level of expression SQL like this:

  2. Summary of all time elapsed / number of sessions
  
  But I can't get my head on the selection of logon_time and logoff_time each line through the names of users that I also need to retrieve variables according to the name of each unique user. I would really appreciate if someone could tell me how I can do this.

  So the formula to use is
  (sum (logoff_time - logon_time)) / number of sessions and the number of sessions is the same as count (*) , then
  (sum (logoff_time - logon_time)) / count (*) is identical to the formula you want to use.

  Hi all

  I'm trying to figure out if it is possible to export specific fields (but not necessarily all the fields) a (made in Acrobat X Standard) editable PDF form specific cells in Excel? (Excel 2010 version)

  A few tips on how to do this would be appreciated, but at the moment I'm trying to really just to confirm if it is still possible.

  It is possible. If you use the JavaScript doc.exportAsText method, you can choose to export only certain fields. • Show and hide some fields against a number

  I have a form for number of dependants and their insertion of names. A user can insert maximum 5 number of dependents, so total I have 6 fields, for the insertion of several dependends and 5 others to insert their names,
  
  I want to hide all five fields of dependents in the form, and if the user makes any number less then 6 then filleds should be visible depending on the number the user will be in put.
  
  I tried but I get no success, I used a dynamic insertion for if the user enters 2 or 3, but it does not work. I used two action individually for 2 and 3. but without success.

  You can show/hide elements based on the value entered in a number of ways.

  Who uses dynamic Actions. That the user changes the value of 'Count', individual text fields are shown/hidden depending on the value selection. In this example, there are five dynamic Actions on the page - one for each of the possible values and related items.

  Each action has the following parameters:

  Event: change
  Selection type: item (s)
  Article (s): P9_COUNT (which is the selection list)
  Condition: greater than or equal to
  Value: * 1 * (for the first article of dynamic Action, then 2, 3, 4 and 5 for the other)

  Real Action: show
  Fire on the page loading: true
  Selection type: item (s)
  Article (s): P9_ITEM1 (for the first point of dynamic Action, P9_ITEM2 etc for the others)

  Action of false: hide

  Fire on the page loading: true
  Selection type: item (s)
  Article (s): P9_ITEM1 (for the first point of dynamic Action, P9_ITEM2 etc for the others)

  When a Count is selected, all dynamic Actions will trigger - each will control the display of the text elements. If the selection is 3, the first three dynamic Actions will show the first three text elements and the last two actions allows you to hide the text elements.

  On my personal Page, I have 2 fields, a text field, and the other is field LOV...
  I have also two buttons apply and Cancel button, after that the values entered into the fields if I click the button apply then the values should be recorded in the corresponding columns of the table...
  For me it works fine.
  
  
  But my problem is, in the first text field user can enter any value but when comes the LOV the value field must be extracted from the table LOV...
