Update 17.0.0.124 to 144 AIR fails on Windows XP
Never, never had a problem updating Adobe AIR. Today for the first time I get this when you try to run the update
then after clicking on refresh
Is there a somewhere Setup log file that might help to determine what is the problem?
I have the same problem and am running Windows XP Pro SP3
I tried to update 17.0.0.124 to 17.0.0.144
Standard update (double-click Installer) - update failed (as described by OP)
When msiexec was not running - update failed
When msiexec.exe running - and then killed - the update failed
I uninstalled via Control Panel - and then installed 17.0.0.144 17.0.0.124
-the installer worked as expected this time
I restarted the PC - and everything was back to normal!
Good luck

When you have installed iTunes, and you download it from anywhere other than the Apple servers. There is a new version of the 12.3.2.35 installer that came out some time around 23/24, which can solve the problem for you. Download and install on your existing copy.

Cannot access my Comcast mail since the last update. I can access it from Safari and Microsoft Windows, but generally do not use either of these browsers. I chatted with Comcast and they are the ones who asked me to try to gain access to other browsers. And, as noted, I managed. Only my opening my email to Comcast.net inhibits the Firefox, the browser that I use on a regular basis because of this problem I can't use Firefox.

Windows Update: Small package of small useful programs is available in Windows Update
In the last few months, I noticed a small package of programs available for download from Windows Update repeatedly. one of the programs in the package is Windows Mail, which I already use in Windows Vista. Assuming that the package is offered once again, I'm a little worried that the included Windows Mail program may try to replace my existing Windows mail program causing the possible loss of all my saved emails. Has anyone downloaded this package and had such problems? If so, what to do?
Any suggestion would be appreciated
1. No, it does not require SP2.
2 SP2 can be uninstalled like any other update Windows via the "View installed updates" task in programs and features. Some fixes for sound problems are given herehttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/948481/
3. you can get help on update on Microsoft Answers Forum.
4. you must install important updates as they usually have safety implications. I'd also install Microsoft Recommended and optional updates. Optional updates to third-party drivers are often best handled by accessing the Web site of the manufacturer of the computer and download from there support.

Original title: updates
Why my PC does not install updates? Although located to automatically receive my last update was February 2015 and all others have failed. Although I tried to reset nothing help.
Have also tried to download Windows 10 but computer spends all day looking for updates, but nothing happens.
As its been almost a year that it is updated, you may be better off to backup your data and backup of your entire system, so you can get back to this point at least if something goes wrong. Then:
Update your anti-virus software and run a full scan. Then download, install, update and run a full scan with Malwarebytesfree. Keep it free, no need to start a trial etc. Malware can be a cause of failure of the updates, the scan won't take long to run and should report something nasty, if its there.
Then you can try the following:
1 convenience store update Windows - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Open-the-Windows-Update-troubleshooter
2 system update readiness tool - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/what-is-the-system-update-readiness-tool
3 components of reset update - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/971058
4. check that "Windows update service" and "Background Intelligent Transfer Service" are listed and running according to the details in this article - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2730071 "
If the above does not help, consider trying a 'repair installation system' - http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/3413-repair-install.html if you have windows installation discs, or a 'factory reset' (updated) If your PC came with no windows disk and was preinstalled. NOTE - in case backup your data and your system first in the form of data may be lost if something goes wrong, and data will be lost in the case of a factory reset.
If you do not want to reinstall again, post back with more details, that is at least what is the error code when the updates fail? (find an update failed in "view history update", right click and click details.) Check a bit to see if the same error code. ). Then someone else can we hope to help more.
