Update for Microsoft 2012 updated 4 Package redistributable Visual C++ (KB3119142) on Alienware 17R3 installs several times.

Update for Microsoft 2012 updated 4 Package redistributable Visual C++ (KB3119142) has installed 42 times since January 12, 2016 through today.  Anyone with a 17R3 having this problem?  If I had Win7 I would hide just the updated, but with Win10 ol ' clumsy, I can't do it.  (Way to nerve WIndows Update, from Microsoft.)

try to go to programs and features. When you have found the file that maintains a right click on it then click on repair.

    I downloaded and installed the update for Microsoft 2012 updated 4 Package redistributable Visual C++ (KB3119142) 6 times, but MS update that always shows a significant update. Is there somewhere I can download this and then install it manually? What should I do for this update recognized as installed in windows 8?

    Neha, thanks for the reply.

    I found this solution and it worked to prevent the download of appearing whenever I start my computer. This repair may not solve the problem but downloading this update again and again is only adding to the problem. Maybe Microsoft will offer a real solution soon.  I looked in my update history and you can see all the times that I downloaded this so I hope that this update is actually doing what he should do.

    Here is how I solved the problem (installation repeated 3119142 KB):

    1. go in Control Panel > programs > programs and features

    2 right-click "redistributable Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 (x 64) - 11.0.61030.

    3. Select 'Edit' and select 'Repair' and then after that repair is done restart the PC

    After the reboot, repeating installs is more took place.

    (Note: Although this solution solves the problem, the 'real' fix will likely run by Microsoft (via an update update) in the near future.)

  • Update security for Windows XP (KB2862330) guard installation several times

    Original title - Windows Update KB2862330
    Update for Windows XP (KB2862330) security maintains the installation on my laptop through Microsoft Update and automatic updates.  After the reboot, it shows again and again and again.  Why and how can no idea I stop it?

    I tried to download the update directly from MS, as suggested. After you run the update and restarting the laptop twice, automatic update and Microsoft Update again say that I need to install the update. It was the only option that seemed to apply to me, so I have not tried all the other options listed.

    I found a possible solution to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/910339 and allowed the utility Fix - It run and fix anything it finds. I then went to Microsoft update, enabled him to re - install the update of security, rebooted twice and it seemed to work. I checked Add/Remove Programs, and it is installed, so this may be a solution for other people to use.

  • Package redistributable Visual C++ and me?

    So I am trying to install a game and he ran through the installer of windows for C++ 2005 and she is back with a "file not found" error - has often been happening to me and I can't say why.  Anyway, I tried to download a new version of the Microsoft Web site, and I can't really say I need.  It seems that Visual C++ 2005 Redist (x 86) may have been the ticket, I know that the x 64 would be no good because I run a system 32 x.  If anyone has any ideas that they would be appreciated - I tried the Windows Update.

    Thank you
