  I am currently trying to create a new form that has a combo box 'Locations' with various options.  What I want to do, is to have another car to text field to fill out other fields associated with this location (for example, address, contact information) to save on time and reduce the possibility for the end user input errors.

  What are my options to accomplish such a task?  A form of bonding in the fields with a database of MS maybe?

We have a running feature that applies to the same text fields, however, each text field should be labeled with a number at the end also running with this is a custom save button that flattens the page and hides some elements before the record on. The hide feature works pretty simple with "this.getField... = display.hidden; The problem is we do not want to repeat this step for each unique instance of fields that share the same name.

  You can do if you use a hierarchical naming convention. For example, instead of using something like: my-text - field.1, my-text - field.2, etc..

  You can then hide as well as:

  I have a large form with many fields on. I have a requirement to show/hide some of these fields, based on the Department of the user code. So a user of a particular Department would see a set of fields over only those relevant to their Department - all non-relevant fields for this Department need to be obscured.

  My first thought was to define the conditional on each field and allows you to search if the field to be displayed by checking a department-field table in the SQL database. But it would mean a blow to the database for each field, that I need to check.

  Can anyone think of a more elegant (and efficient) solution for this? I use Apex 4.2.

  You must reactivate the fields before being submitted, because the disabled fields are not subject at all - and that throws what APEX collections uses tabular forms. See my post here.

  Short version: use something like this as an action dynamic javascript before submitting the form:

  In your last code done selectAddress refers to "index" but I'm not declared or assigned. I think that you are missing 'var index = list.selectedIndex;' statement.

  recently I came across a PDF file that had a form field (text) with the following rectangle:

  LowerLeft: 170; 850

  Superieurdroit: 475; 862

  The page itself was: 595; 841 while that MediaBox = CropBox = BleedBox = area of crop.

  The coordinate y is off the page so to speak.

  The Adobe reader displays the field at the top of the page, but within the limits of the top page.

  Maybe it than correct/fix it?

  My question is:

  1.) is this compatible pdf specification? (I did a quick search but couldn't find something about it)

  2.) is that PDF/A-1 compliant (if that makes a difference)?

• How to use MD5 the password on the update form field

  Hi all - I have a form of update that pulls in a field that contains the password that is encryped in MD5 format. I want the user to see the original password and be able to change, and then save it using MD5. I used the Update Wizard to create the code for this form is standard code. Any ideas?

  The answer is in two parts:

  First Ministry field password password in field properties so it does not display the chopped character. Md5 is a way - you can't decrypt encrypt only. Thus, the user can enter a new password on the old.

  Second part; Copy the following code: GetSQLValueString (md5($_POST['password']), 'text'), to encrypt the text field.

  I found this by Googleing for the use of md5 and update forms...

• It is possible to compare the contact fields based on the value of data updated?

  I would like to run a filter and compare my contact fields if the value in a field has been updated or changed.

  for example if the data in the "first name" value changes to be empty to have a value, which would respect the requirement.  Also if "phone number" 123-456-7890 to 999-000-0000 that would also meet the requirement.

  Did anyone done this before?  Any ideas of how to implement?

  It will be great if Oracle can verify the critical fields.

  The solution is to create to the top of the field in another area, so when it changes, you can compare the values.

  You can refer to the line that you want to process through the value stored in the box.

  If you use apex_application.g_f01 (i) to make reference to the line and you want to update the row based on the ROWID in your request, your SQL query should have the box as follows:

  apex_item. CheckBox2 (1, rowid)

  Then your PLSQL process would be like this:
