Update KB2272691 always available to the installation even if it installs correctly whenever I try (2008 R2)

Hello

Windows Update on the Windows 2008 R2 server always indicates the KB2272691 update is available at the facility.

The update has been installed the first time on 26 August and reported a State of installed successfully. The next day, I checked WSUS and he pointed out that this machine still has this update. I logged on the computer and the real, Windows Update showed that this update is ready to install, I checked the history of update and the update has been successfully installed the previous day. I installed it manually restarted (although she did not) and I checked once again updates. Yet once the update has been demonstrated as being available, I installed and checked the updates immediately, it is still indicated as required and ready to install.

I went to microsoft.com and downloaded the update by hand and installed, same result. I checked directly updates from Microsoft Update on this machine, the update shows still necessary, that I have installed, same result. For this reason, the update is now installed everyday by the windows update scheduler with the same result. So far, the history of Windows Update indicates that this update has been installed successfully 6 times and is pending installation for hours tonight.

No idea what's going on here or how can I fix?

Thank you.

If you mean that Windows updates are not proceed with the installation, it is because the support of Windows XP Service Pack 2 ended on July 13, 2010, so no updates were available for this purpose since then.

To resolve this problem, you MUST upgrade to Windows XP Service Pack 3, which is covered and a link procided further to the bottom of the page at the link above.

Press the Windows key + X and then click System

    Hello

1 do you have service pack 3 installed on the computer?

    2. what was the recent change in hardware or software performed on the computer before the question?

  • I want to continue to use my current Vista operating system, but I forgot to turn it off before changing the parts of my PC. Now, whenever I try to turn it on, it says that the license is already in use.

Transfer of license with a twist

So I've recently upgraded to a new system... Virtually everything has been replaced - the motherboard, RAM, graphics card, processor... Everything but my HARD drive. I want to continue to use my current Vista operating system, but I forgot to turn it off before changing the parts of my PC. Now, whenever I try to turn it on, it says that the license is already in use.

Is there anyway for me to be able to turn it on for my new rig? Thank you.

If you have a retail copy of Vista, you must activate by phone.  Click Start, type "slui 4" and press ENTER.

    See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/940315

If your copy of Vista is preinstalled on your computer, you can't use it with the new motherboard and you will need to purchase a copy of the license full of Windows.  Most of the editions of Vista out of support in two months so consider Windows 7.

  • Error code 1711 - an error occurred when writing information on the installation disk. Check of course make disk space is available during the installation of updates for java, adobe, iTunes

    Original title: Error1711

    Hi all

I apologize in advance if this question has already been asked. I could not find if it has.

I got ill of updates on some installation programs, java, adobe, iTunes. When I try to install the update, I get an error saying that there is not enough disk space. This computer is 1 month with a 1Terabyte HD, running Windows 7 x 64. I have 882 GB of free space.

I feel that it is probably a mistake with the TEMP files, but I am unable to find the location of the file. I ran system restore, CCleaner and disk cleanup all to nothing does not. I don't know why I can't find the C:\Windows\System32\Installer file, but I can't.

If you can help point me in the right direction, I would be very grateful.

    Thanks in advance,

    Hi GoGreen83,

As MVP TaurArain mentioned that the problem is related to the Windows Installer, I suggest you try the following steps:

Step 1: Unregister and then reregister Windows Installer

1 registration of Windows Installer. To do this, click Start, type run, click Run, type msiexec /Unregister in the Open box, and then click OK.

    2. reregister Windows Installer. To do this, click Start, type run, click Run, type msiexec /regserver/regserver in the Open box, and then click OK.

Step 2: Auditor of file system (CFS) scan to fix all of the corrupted system files. To do this, follow the steps mentioned in the link below:

How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the system files missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

Now check if the problem is resolved

    Deleting temporary files

Disk Cleanup should take care of temporary files, Temp location C:\Windows\Temp

Click Start > type Temp in the search box and press on enter, clear the contents of the folder

Similarly, type folder under search and delete temporary files

Thank you, and in what concerns:

  • CS6 applications are always available from the creative clouds?

Always download CS6 applications on the site of the CC? I had to wipe my hard drive iMac earlier this year and all reinstall to deal with a software problem. Even though I reinstalled the CC apps that I need, I lost all my CS6 versions. As I originally downloaded my apps CS6 from Adobe, I don't have the installation discs available. I do not have my records of CS5, but I rather have CS6 available if possible.

From what I can tell on the adobe site, as late as last year Adobe allowed access to CS6 apps for CC subscribers. The "Filter by version" button is no longer available in the Application Adobe CC Manager

    Yes.

Open your desktop cc app > apps > filters & releases > previous versions > click on install next to a program and a drop-down list appears, listing the cs6 version.

  • I am running XP with Office 2003. The Office 2007 SP1 is "forced" on me to automatic updates. Should I run the installation?

Whenever I visited the MS Update site, I was prompted to download the SP1 for Office 2007. I always ignored this suggestion because I run Office 2003. I don't know why I would even be asked to provide this update unless I have versions Express in Visual c#, VB, and Developer Web loaded on my computer. These applications need this update? Should I start the update, or I might do something that is not compatible with my Office 2003?

    Thank you

    Then you'll want to hide.

    1. stop the automatic updates service:

    Start > run > services.msc (enter) > [OK]
Double-click Automatic Updates > click Stop
(Stopping the service will take a moment)

2 remove the contents of the download folder:

    Start > run > %windir%\SoftwareDistribution (enter) > [OK]
Open the download folder and delete its contents
    Close the window.

    3. go to the Windows Update Web site. Select CUSTOM and allow the analysis to be performed. Uncheck the box/deselect KB936982 and hide ("don't show me this update").

    4. start the automatic updates service:

    Start > run > services.msc (enter) > [OK]
Double-click Automatic Updates > click Start
(Starting the service will take a moment)

  • air.swf getStatus() returns 'available' for the installation of side car

I hope someone from Adobe can help with this one.  We have received the license from Adobe to redistribute the Adobe AIR runtime and we use the method of side car.  Installation of AIR and our application works correctly, you can launch our app as well and rolls.

The problem is that, sometimes, we are launching our AIR application using a Web site and the air.swf (for lack of a better word) component to determine if AIR is installed and proper version of our application.

Under Windows, it seems that our silent installation does not have files that are accessible by the air.swf in the right place - so he reports 'available' instead of 'installed', even if AIR and our app are actually installed and works perfectly.

During our silent installation of AIR, it appears the Adobe AIR installer puts a file (airappinstaller) that contains 2 files (the airappinstaller.exe and a digest.s) - the folder is installed here:

    \Adobe\Flash Player\AddIns\airappinstaller {program Files}

However, the utility of the air.swf is looking for them to be installed here:

    {UserFolder} \AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\ \bin\airappinstaller www.macromedia.com

It seems the first time everything is installed, two folders will be created correctly.  But if the user has subsequently uninstalls AIR, when they use our Installer to re - install AIR (and our application) "Macromedia" folder is not created.  If manually copy us the files in the folder in the box "ProgramFiles\Adobe" in the Macromedia air.swf file then starts the correct status of statement again.

How we overcome this problem to avoid calls to technical support on this?  Is there a flag that we can move the installer?

We get the same result using Windows 2008, XP and 7

It is a little unhappy quirk of the installer of the AIR. When you perform a silent installation as an administrator like you do, it is generally not possible to write to the location of each user that the badge again. To counter that almost any when you do anything as a user in the AIR we will copy the files airappinstaller and other things by user to their correct if necessary locations. There is also a specific flag, you can switch to the Installer application for this

    / Applications/utilities/Adobe\ AIR\ Application\ Installer.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe\ AIR\ Application\ Installer - updateUserState

If you run that, as a user, it should fix everything up
