Hello

You could finish the process of the activity monitor.

What OS are you?

If you are able to put an end to the process, try to download the update with reference to the following link.

  • Allow a standard user to install software designated as updates of Adobe reader with group policy

    Hello

I have the users configured as standard users to prevent them from installing unapproved software.

This causes problems with products such as java and adobe reader running automatic updates.  We then get cranky users because they are prompted to install the update and approval from the administrator.

Is it possible with group policy to allow pre-approved software to install as update of adobe reader?

    Thank you

  • Tried to install Adobe Reader on the Mac, "new version already installed.

I am trying to install Adobe Reader on my Mac. I uninstalled and reinstalled. I keep getting the message that the new version is already installed...

    Hi Sarah Simac,

Seems that the reader is always present in your system. Its not completely uninstalled.

Try to directly remove the application from the Applications folder, which is just trash/Applications/Adobe Reader.app.

Also, this can cause a break in the features of Safari to read PDF files using Adobe Reader plugin. To resolve this problem, go into/Library/Internet Plug - Ins / and remove AdobePDFViewer.plugin and AdobePDFViewerNPAPI.plugin

Recommended Firefox that I update to Adobe Reader DC of Adobe Reader XI, which was installed on my computer when I bought it.  But Adobe Reader DC was originally software conflicts, so I uninstalled and downloaded Adobe Reader XI.  However, I can not install Adobe Reader XI because it keeps asking me for the serial number.  Please don't tell me that Adobe Reader XI does not require a number series (as someone said on the Forum), because I continue to have asked for a serial number.

Thank you for the screenshot.  The title line of the installation panel shows clearly that you want to install Acrobat Standard XI, not the Software Adobe Reader.

Download the installer for Adobe Reader http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

I can't install adobe reader on my mac... I get the message to open the license agreement and select Yes, and then click close

The Rader free does not require a license. If Mac OS ask you the password of your Mac? Or you need to run the reader (open your Applications folder and double click on the drive icon) to accept the license agreement? Be as specific as possible.

  • Why can't adobe reader on my Mac software update/installation?

I am currently reading and to save items to my credit card and they do not load. Get a popup that says I need to update my adobe reader software. I downloaded it big nothing. Also tried to call their support line and got a guy I had problems understanding. All he wanted to do was sell me sweet wre to fix my computer free-wheeling between $100 and $200, I'M VERY UPSET. Download demand also reading and accepting their terms and liencing, but strangely, they don't show me how to find agreement or to review. What is the problem with this company?

    Run the vacuum cleaner: http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html

    Then, install the reader: http://get.adobe.com/reader/

PS uncheck mcafee unless you are certain you want.

    Hi rainwater63,

This problem may occur if there is an incorrect setting in one of the following registry subkeys:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders

Important This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: 322756 How to back up and restore the registry in Windows

Check the Microsoft KB article below which talks about a similar issue with Microsoft programs. You can give it a try and check if it works.

You receive an "Error 1606" error message when you try to install or remove a program from Microsoft
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/886549

If the step above does not resolve the issue, I would say that you install the Windows install cleanup, then run the cleanup utility from the start menu and then remove the entries for the software, and then restart the computer for the changes to take effect and now try to reinstall the software and check.

Description of the Windows Installer Cleanup utility
    http://download.Microsoft.com/download/e/9/d/e9d80355-7ab4-45b8-80e8-983a48d5e1bd/msicuu2.exe

If the steps above fail then I would suggest that you try to publish your application in the adobe forums, check out the link below

  • Unable to add 3rd plugins in adobe reader DC on mac (10.9.5)

    Hello

I try to install 3rd party plugin in adobe reader DC on mac, but its does not appear. The same plug-in has been able to install and appear in Reader 11.

I got to know since Acrobat DC deletes Acrobat XI and compatibility of the plug-ins that plugins must be 64-bit to settle but I said anywhere in my subject code bit (32 or 64).

    Thanks in advance.

Nothing is false if the Acrobat XI plugins load in DC on Mac. It is proper and normal. Many people misunderstand the parameters that you are talking about.

    1. If you check use certified Plugins without plugins not Adobe will never be used. Still mode checked: YES.

    2. If you uncheck use certified Plugins, usable plugins are used. If she says YES then, quite simply, there is no usable plugins.

  • where to enter the license key for update my adobe reader software?

Adobe Reader is free and requires no key. If you are prompted for one, you probably installed the trial version of Adobe Acrobat instead of Adobe Acrobat Reader.
