  I hope this isn't a stupid question, but I was unable to find an answer elsewhere.

  I've never owned any product at all before Photoshop, and my wife bought me version PS elements 10 improvement yesterday.

  Our belief is that PSE10 UV was the latest version of the items, but when the package arrived it is said about it "to install this upgrade successfully, you will need a licensed copy of Adobe Photoshop Elements' which of course, we do not have."

  An upgrade from a product version is the full product, but it's license requires a previous version. The idea is that you already have an earlier version, you can buy an "upgrade" version at a reduced cost. During installation, the complete product is installed, it does not the piggy-back on a previous installation. However, when you register the product, entering your serial number, a check of upgrade will take place. It automatically checks your computer for a product as already installed. If that cannot be found, it will ask you to enter the serial number of your previous version.

  As you do not have an earlier version, you won't be able to pass the upgrade check, which means that you will not be able to authorize your copy of Photoshop Elements for use on this computer. You will have access to a 30-day free trial, but after that your product would cease to function.

  You need to return this product for a full commercial copy rather than a version upgrade.

  I have a new Canon EOS 80 d camera and Photoshop elements 11 will not open to raw files. Following the instructions online, I downloaded dng converter 9.5, which is supposed to update Photoshop for this device. But it still doesn't work. It is unclear what I see online (and there is no number to call for support) If a later version of elements is needed to do this, or if items is even helped at all by the converter of 9.5. -What for the full program of Photoshop? Any suggestions? I spent a few hours on this today, and it's frustrating. After Nikon to Canon this round and so they need new lenses, filters, etc., I have not exactly cash remains for a new program of camera as well.

  The Photomerge has been moved from the 'Expert' view mode 'guided edits.

  Regarding the download, the correct trial version going, you should be able to manage on the link below.  If you have made a purchase and bought a Windows license so it is not valid for a Mac installation.  You will need to contact the Support from Adobe when they go bacvk vacation to see about getting the correct license.
