  You don't need to convert it to a string and back to do.  TRUNC allows to get the right day and date arithmetic to get the right time, like this:

  UPDATE fc_gq_source_analysis

  SET effective_date = TRUNC (sample_date, 'MONTH')

  + (sample_date - TRUNC (sample_date))

  WHERE sample_type = 'C '.

  ;

  TRUNC (sample_date, 'MONTH') is midnight the 1st of the month you want.

  sample_date - TRUNC (sample_date) is the time you want, expressed in number of days (for example, 9/24 a day).

  I have a panelGridLayout that shows the horizontal scroll bar when the content does not fit the available horizontal space.

  In the panelGridLayout I have items that I can drag and drop, and after release, I'm refreshing the grid to display the new data.

  Sometimes to show the last item I have to scroll using the horizontal scroll bar. Now when I drag and drop the last element when updating of the grid, it resets the bar to scroll to the start position and it is very annoying for the user.

  How can I reset the position of the scroll bar after reloading the page.

  Here are the things I've tried:

  1. for the the jsff pageDef file has added a new custom controller class. Inside the method refreshRegion of the class controller added the java code to run a javascript method which will set 'scrollLeft' of the div of the panelGridLayout position. The javascript method is get called (since I put an alert statement in for tests), but the scroll position bar does not. If I run the same code in javascript by a button then it works fine (so no problems in the javascript method).

  2 created an outputText component and visible value = false and clientComponent = true, and the value property value to a method of beans like this #(pageFlowScope.ratingBean.getscrollBarTextValue). Inside of the get accessor method to new call to the same javascript method but no help.

  3 tried to refresh only the gridCell inside the panelGridLayout, but since the gridCell is created by a grid cell single component af:iterator is getting updated. I need all the cells of the grid to be refreshed.

  It is a very annoying problem for our users and is reviewed by our Mgmt. Any help is appreciated.

  I could solve this problem.

  Here is the solution.

  Using a panelGroupLayout (scroll) as the component root to display the horizontal scroll bar and to display vertical scrollbars for columns panelGridLayout inside it.

  Set the height of the components inside the panelGroupLayout based on the height of the browser.

  Gets the height of the browser javascript using the af: clientListener of type "load" for root af:document.

  Also register a listener for the resized window event that will perform the ppr and refresh the height of the components.

  When I drag and drop I update just the panelGridLayout of the child when only resets do not bar (which is shown by the parent PanelGroupLayout) scrolling position.

• Just updated to Firefox 29.01 it does not at all. When I opened it that won't load sites that shows just the busy circle floating around forever. It is unusable.

  28 Firefox worked fine, but when asked a pop up opening firefox update to 29.01 I found there was a lot of security issues for 28 so I've manually updated to the 29.01 by going in "subject, check updates, etc." Once downloaded 29.01 and got told to restart, I restarted firefox. When I opened it, I found that it is unusable. It will not open a single Web site. It does not load my homepage. It has all my before Favorites from the Favorites toolbar, but I can't go to anything. I closed and tried to run cc cleaner as I always do, but I get the message "firefox takes too long to close would you like to force a shutdown", but the forced shutdown does not close it no more.   Well, then I can say happily that I'm typing this on firefox yay! I managed to do work, and here's how it is for everyone who is having this problem (well at least this is the solution that finally worked for me). RESTART your computer. NOT simply stop there. It does not work (not for me at least). I rebooted the computer initially there are a few min b/c my was not analysis Norton and I wanted to analyze the new 'new installation' I had to FF. After the computer has been restarted, my norton worked. So I said Hey, maybe I'll give you my FF update 29.0.1 a last try before you install a new firefox, in the hope that maybe restart the computer would have worked. So I opened it and omg he loaded my homepage. It works! In addition, among other first problems I've come across is impossible to bookmark a site. I found the solution. Just go to the upper menu right (it has 3 horizontal lines) and right-click the little star icon that we're used to that means bookmarks. A small menu will appear. Click on "move to the toolbar", and which should put it on the top right of your browser so that you can bookmark things.   Click on the icons of hard drive to open and to understand which drive is which.

  Click the icon for the USB drive and click on "Actions > Change the read/write mode" so you can write to disk (it is read-only by default for security reasons).

  Now to find the files you want to back up, just drag and drop them on the USB. When you're done, shut down the system and remove the USB key.

  3. click on [the title bar] in the lower left corner.
