Upgrade to Acrobat - impossible to edit PDFS

Hello

I've recently updated to Acrobat so that I could edit my PDF files.  So far I have not been able to do this.  Adobe just me asking to connect you and once connected, I keep getting directed to the invitation to the purchase of Acrobat.  Please notify.

This link contains information and the download link - at least on my screen. Try this.

Look for the section 'Download Acrobat XI or Acrobat X'.

Click on 'Acrobat XI Pro' below (next to the triangle).

In the column of Windows, you will see a link "File 1 of 1".

It's the installer download you.

  • Impossible to edit PDFS with Adobe Acrobat Standard DC

    Hello

One of my users try to modify a PDF file that does not currently have recognizable text. I understand that if nothing are recognized that you can't modify it until you run OCR.

Although my agreement with Adobe Acrobat DC after choosing 'Edit PDF' Acrobat will automatically recognize the text on the first page to make it editable, even if for my user after choosing 'Edit PDF' they receive this error message:

    Capture.PNG

If I try the same process with the same document Adobe Acrobat Pro DC program automatically recognize the first page and make it editable.

So my question is: is this problem that may occur because we are using Adobe Acrobat Standard? I tried to look at your site in order to know what are the features do not come with Adobe Acrobat Standard DC, but could not find information on OCRing records automatically.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Modification of the functionality of scanned documents is not available for Adobe Acrobat or Acrobat Standard DC versions 11.x.

You have to upgrade to "Adobe Acrobat Pro DC" to use this feature.

  • Impossible to edit PDF files in Adobe Acrobat DC

I'm unable to edit a file in adobe acrobat dc I've tried with several files and whenever I click on edit pdf it get a pop-up that says adobe acrobat dc has encountered an unknown error, however I was able to change a few pdf files all tried to re download a new file to be saved in acrobat reader and nothing works please help

    Hi imad,.

We have a work around for this problem. I hope that it will work in your scenario.

Print the PDF using "Adobe PDF". Edit this new PDF instead of the original one.

    Steps to follow:

    1. go to file-> Print. (Ctrl + P)

    2. Select 'Adobe PDF' as the printer.

    3. click on print. Save in any desired location when prompted.

    4. open the new PDF.

    5 edit.

Let me know if this helps.

  • Impossible to edit PDF files now

I have Acrobat 5 and 9.4 on my machine. My work includes the duty to reframe and change PDF files on external resources. Lately, my problem is I can't open all PDFs with 5 where are all my editing tools. What do I need to get the files edit 9?

I have Reader 9 on some machines with AA5 because AA5 cannot read a large number of recent files. If you need to change them, you're out of luck. There is a roundabout way is not that great and many wouldn't recommend it, but you can open the file in Reader 9 and then print the Acrobat Distiller printer. Don't know how this will work, but it might do the job. I'm also not what else you might lose. Tabs and such other markup will be effectively lost.

  • Impossible to edit PDFS. Indicating that I need to Live Cycle.

Sometimes, when I open a PDF file and try adding a text it says that I need LiveCycle Designer. What is it and why do I need this?

    Alert.jpg

This means that the form is created in Adobe Livecycle Designer. They are another type of form than what Acrobat creates and modifies.

  • What do I need to install Adobe Acrobat Pro to edit PDF files?

I'm subscribed to Adobe PDF Pack.

I want the ability to drag-and - drop to insert, remove, and reorder pages. So it appears I need Adobe Acrobat Pro. Is this correct?

If I've updated to Adobe Acrobat Pro, should I install something on my PC? Where can I I simply drag-and - drop to insert, remove, and reorder pages online (in my browser) with the same login that I use now for Adobe PDF Pack?

I don't want to install anything. Where my question.

    Thank you!

    Bob

    Hi robertm33760217,

Yes, you would need Adobe Acrobat Pro to insert, remove, and reorder pages.

Yes, you need to install the software on your computer as Acrobat software Acrobat will not work with your browser.

    You have any other question?

    Hi mireyas89624176,

Make sure that you change in the Acrobat application using Acrobat PDF | Edit PDF files, and not in Acrobat Reader DC. As Acrobat Reader DC can't edit PDF files.

  • Impossible to open the feature edit PDF, even if I have a subscription Acrobat Pro DC

When I select Edit PDF, the toolbar does not open.  Instead, it gives me the option to "learn more".  When I clicked on purchase (thinking that perhaps I haven't it in my subscription) a message pops up saying that I already pay for it.  What is going on?

Looks like that you always use the free Acrobat Reader software. Once you get the Acrobat subscription, you must download, install and use Acrobat to open PDFs. The subscription does not add this capability to the free player. It is a separate program.

"Choose" switch to "and correct the problem. The other is "content preparation courses. "Please wait while the document is being prepared for" and displays a progress bar. One last question, I noticed it is adobe hangs quite frequently and shows "not responding". I had Adobe Acrobat X Pro for several years, and these have not always taken place only months. I ' n not Adobe expert so I don't know why this is happening. I checked the updates. Any advice on what is happening?
