Upgrade VCP510-VTC at VCP6 VTC certification

Hello

I got my certification VCP 510 on 14 may 2014. (expires May 14, 2016)

What I have to reach 550 VCP Delta review first, or I can directly take the consideration of delta/beta VCP6.

VCP550D is necessary for you to keep your current VCP5 VTC to take one of the VCP6-VTC exams without also having to be trained, so as long as you plan to upgrade to VCP6-VTC by may 2016 you can ignore VCP550D.

Take the direction in the post above mine and look at the tab Migration paths for confirmation of your options.

I want to do the certification VCP5-VTC, but im not sure how much I need to know to have a chance to make it, perhaps someone could point me in the right direction.

    I finished these 2 courses

    vSphere: install, configure, manage [5.5]

    vSphere: optimize & chelle [5.5]

Yes, you can always take a review - VCP510 relies on vSphere 5.0/5.1 and VCP550 is on vSphere 5.5.

Your presence on the course should have been followed by the training provider, you should see the on your myLearn transcript - head to this page and you sign in to your account: VMware education

  • Want to take the certification VCP6-VTC, but I finished the 5.5 ESXi and vCenter Server 5.5

    Hello

2 years ago I had the training for 5.5 ESXi and vCenter Server 5.5 - I wonder if that would satisfy the requirement and allows me to pass the exam VCP6-VTC?  Or should I stick with the VTC VCDP5 only?

    Have you taken after school.

5.5 vSphere install, configure and manage.

If so, please attend vSphere: what's new [5.5 to 6.0]

It is a 2 day course that will allow you to take the exam VCP6-VTC.

Otherwise, take VCP550 review and upgrade to VCP6-VTC in taking 2V0 - 621D.

I also attended Vsphre 4.1 training. Now my question is that I have not received my certification VCP5-VTC, so I contact ceriticition vmware support, said, must still complete the following prerequisites option 2

    2. • VTC VCAP certification requirements

    Hi all!

Requirements on certitfication to VCAP-VTC on vSphere 5.1 consists of only one requirement: have a VCP5 VTC. It is logically.

But what I need to do if in August 2012, I already passed the VCP510 examination?

Do I need to review at VCP5-VTC and if yes, what is the significance of review a very similar review?

VCP510 is the examination for certification VCP5-VTC.

If you meet the requirements of VCP5-VTC training (as defined in http://www.vmware.com/go/vcp ) then you must already hold that certification and meet the prerequisites for VCAP5 - DCA both DCD (there is no VCAP-VTC).

  • Need to take a VCAP6 VTC deploy which is replacement of VCAP5-DCA

    Hi all

I am certified VCP5.5 and my certificate will be expired within six months from now.

If please guide me to the path of realization and what should be my next course of action.

Should I upgrade my VCP 6 certification and then pick VCAP6 VTC or its fine if I go directly to VCAP6 VTC.

    Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Based on the certification paths listed on the above web page, you must either hold a VCP6 VTC invalid, or a certificate of VCAP5 directly to VCAP6-VTC.

With your current certification VCP5-VTC, you get VCP6-VTC certification before you can go for the advanced certification.

  • How can I update my VCP5-VTC

Did I miss something on the new requirements of the certification?  I need to renew my VCP5 VTC.  Is there a new secure Channel - VTC to upgrade me to?  If I take the 5.5 m review I then a VTC VCP55?

    Thank you

    Bob

    Excerpt from my blog:

There are 2 steps to monitor:

-If you win all your certifications to VCP level before March 10, 2013 you til March 10, 2015 to get recertified

-If you won your most recent certification VCP level since March 10, 2013 you have 2 years from the date you earned this certification to recertify

You can get a new certification in one of these ways:

-Take the current exam for VCP certification level in the same discipline

-Take the level of current VCP exam in another discipline

-Pass a current review of VCAP level under the same or another discipline

There is no concept of VCP55-VTC, individuals can spend VCP510 or VCP550 for the VCP5-VTC certification.

For example, you might want to consider office or cloud VCPs, or VCAP5 DCA-VCAP5-DCD.

  • Download VCP5-VTC certified

    Hello

I would like to take VCP510 certification, but I have an eligible VMware authorized course or I can study alone on a guide and then take the exam?

    I need help!

    Thank you

You must attend a course authorized VMware eligible, in accordance with the requirements listed here: http://mylearn.vmware.com/mgrReg/plan.cfm?plan=12457&ui=www_cert

You can still self-study and take the test, but you won't VCP - VTC certification until requirement of courses is ensured.

  • VCA6-VTC release date?

Does anyone have an idea when they are planning to release the VTC VCA6?

    Now available: VCA6-VTC Certification

  • VCP5-> VCP6 but I'm overwhelmed?

So my VCP5-VTC expired 31 Oct.  But I see that the review of the re-cert VCP5-VTC Delta review is available until December 31?  -What for non expired VCP5-DCVs?

Am I still eligible to apply for permission?  I met the pre - req review VCP5-VTC (VCP510) and obviously spent.

I could take VCP5 - VTC Delta Exam?

Path 3 on this page holds the answer: VCP6-VTC Certification

You are actually square 1 and should start as if you had never taken a class or prior review - pain to allow your VCP expire...

  • VCP510 - last date for test?

Does anyone know when the last date is to test for the VCP510: VMware Certified Professional 5 - Data Center Virtualization?

I have a good purchase of VMware for the exam.

I'll assume that you have met the training requirements for VCP5-VTC, IE. you attended a class of vSphere 5 eligible.

Once you pass either VCP510 or VCP550 you would be a VCP5-VTC, 2 years from the date you pass either of these exams.

VCP510 is based on vSphere 5.0/5.1 (which is common between these versions), where VCP550 is specific to vSphere 5.5. Note it is only VCP510 which expires at the end of November, VCP550 has no retirement date.

To get to VCP6-VTC, you need the examination 2V0 - 621D.

Take a look at these pages for details:

    Virtualization of VCP-Data Center (VCP5-VTC) (path 1)

    VCP6-VTC Certification (path 1)

  • Renew expired certification

So now that may 08 has passed and I'm guessing a lot of holders of VCP have expired certifications, what is the way to renew these?

Looking at the certification VCP5-VTC page, is unclear:

Track 1: It all started with Data Center Technologies

    Nope, already had a VCP4/5.

Track 2: If you have a valid secure Channel certification.

No, it has expired, so not valid (I guess?). This seems more destined to the update of VCP4 anyway.

Track 3: you have completed a 5 day course that qualifies for the VCP4-VTC Certification, but has failed to meet the DCV VCP4 exam.

Yet once more to hold VCP4, but again not relevant to someone who had a VCP valid

Track 4: If you are a current VTC VCP5 who took the exams VCP510 and must now obtain a new certification.

I guess that's the closest, so until September 30, we can make the delta review to validate our current expired certificates?

Without doubt, if we wanted to get VCP6 then we would either need make what's new course, or have a valid VCP5 and review of VCP6 (currently in beta, but I guess there will be overlap normal ~ 6 months without requirement of course)

Expiration of your certification, you must meet the requirements of training and pass a test.  Training requirements for the VCP550 include vSphere 4 CIM + what's new 5.5.

  • Certification VCP 510 has expired

Hi friends my VCP 510 certification is outdated, please let me know is there any chance to renew the current otherwise that is a running a vcp6.0?

If your VCP5-VTC has expired, then for VCP6-VTC visit the link

    VCP6-VTC Certification

On the 'New candidate' tab, choose the path 1

who has the list of the courses that you got to attend one.

and you must then appear for vSphere Foundation exam (2V0-620) and vSphere 6, review VTC (2V0-621).

  • VCP5 Recertification help please...

    Hi all

I'm looking to recertify my VCP5-VTC and have barely got round to watching it.  I have until December 2015 but had time to work on that now.  I asked for and received approval for the VCP6 Delta, but think I left it at the end of what I'm reading?  PearsonVue site keep crashing on me, so cannot confirm!  I liked the opportunity to renew this cheaply with the Delta review.

A requested and received approval for the examination of VCP550 Delta but know a lot about this, it is a test to open online book?  What is the cost of this?  New site PearsonVue is to be a nightmare, so cannot really see costs and options of programming.

    Thank you

    Dan

Delta VCP6-VTC 2V0 review - 621D was in beta, but I think that the beta period has just ended - review final delta is expected to be launched in July and August, I expected.

You will always have to "renew cheap" with the final review of delta - no courses required, just a single review, and you will earn VCP6-VTC but also quite your VTC VCP5.

If you do not wish to recertify now, you can do it with VCP550D, or you could take a PCV in a different technology area, or push you to level VCAP.

VCP550D is taken online from any location.
