Use a shape to draw a bitmap

I wonder if there is a way to change the shape of a Bitmap, using a mask or something similar in this regard. Here's the problem:

I have a bitmap rectangle, and I need to cut corners in order to get a Bitmap rounded (with transparent angles). Is it possible to do?

In Android, I can specify a form of 'cut' a bitmap...

Take a look at the DevCon 2010 session downloads. In particular sessions DEV18 through DEV21.  Here you will find an update for the RIM AdvancedUI samples, include the use of a mask bitmap to do exactly what you ask.

  • question very simple-how to fill a shape I draw with color

    Hello. I'm new to photoshop and have a lot of trouble to choose no matter what form that I shoot. I'm doing a tutorial that is to fill a gray canvas, then by drawing a small white rectangle inside the largest canvas/rectangle gray. (I have not forgotten to unlock the bottom).

    My question: How can I select and fill (white) the second rectangle I draw over a gray rectangle?

    In general, I can not understand how to select or fill any shape I draw using the rectangle tool. Similarly, the forms of brand tools are no help because I can't my gray rectangle to select and fill it with a white fill inspired brand. I also tried to use a "layer of filling.

    I'm almost certain that something is wrong with my computer (I have reset), but still I have not used photoshop in over a year. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    The Rectangle sgould tool create a work path, to shape layer or fill pixel according to the settings in the Options bar.

    The rectangular selection tool should create a selection that you could edit > fill or use it as a layer of a solid color layer mask.

    Could you please post a screenshot with the relevant panels visible?

    When you have what you want to save the selected PDF file, make sure that you press properties, and set the resolution in the settings.  PDF files themselves have quality settings, (print quality, Web quality etc) then make sure that you have the right to a game if you plan to use the "print" function to save in PDF format.

  • Graphics, drawBitmap, setARGB... Why can't I just draw a bitmap on the screen?

    Help!

    I am new to Java, much more for blackberry. I try to have some data belong, but all I see is a white screen.

    JDE is 4.5.0

    // imports be here

    public class navandApp extends UiApplication {
        public static void main(String[] args) {
            navandApp app = new navandApp();
            app.enterEventDispatcher();
        }

        public navandApp() {
            pushScreen(new Shcreen());
        }
    }

    final class Shcreen extends FullScreen {
        public Shcreen() {
            // I create an Array and fill it with color values
            int[] bitArray = new int[36];
            int color1 = 0xFFFF00AA;
            int color2 = 0xFFBBCC00;
            int color3 = 0xFF12BBEE;

            for (int i = 0; i < bitArray.length; i += 3) {
                            // Bitmap will be just a set of 3 consecutive colors over and over
                bitArray[i] = color1;
                bitArray[i + 1] = color2;
                bitArray[i + 2] = color3;
            }

            // The idea is to use this Array to form a bitmap and display it on the screen
            // Bitmap's dimensions will be 6x6
            Bitmap image = new Bitmap(6, 6);
            image.setARGB(bitArray, 0, 6, 0, 0, 0, 0);
            Graphics stupidGFXDoesntWork = new Graphics(image);
            // Not sure if the following would be necessary or not...
            stupidGFXDoesntWork.drawBitmap(0, 0, 6, 6, image, 0, 0);

            // Nothing happens! Blank screen! >:(
        }
    }

    ... So what I am doing wrong?

    Well, what you have is exactly what I proposed. To override a method in Java, you must specify exactly the same formal parameters as the method of the superclass. In addition, you must move the declaration of the image by the manufacturer and make a class variable. Try this version of the Shcreen class (I have marked the changes that I think you should do your code):

    final class Shcreen extends FullScreen {    Bitmap image;    public Shcreen() {        int[] bitArray = new int[36];        int color1 = 0xFFFF00AA;        int color2 = 0xFFBBCC00;        int color3 = 0xFF12BBEE;

                for (int i = 0; i < bitArray.length; i += 3) {                bitArray[i] = color1;                bitArray[i + 1] = color2;                bitArray[i + 2] = color3;            }

            Bitmap image = new Bitmap(6, 6);        image.setARGB(bitArray, 0, 6, 0, 0, 6, 6);        Graphics GGG = new Graphics(image);        paint(GGG,image);    }    protected void paint(Graphics g, Bitmap I){        super.paint(g);        g.drawBitmap(0, 0, 6, 6,I image, 0, 0);    }}

    The key to understanding it is that the system automatically calls the method paint (Graphics) of the screen when it's time for the screen to display on the screen. You shouldn't try to get rid of it in the constructor.

  • AE cS5.5 using a shaper of IT make a mask

    How can I (or can I?) use a form import from AI CS 6 in a mask?

    I watched several videos and sought HELP in the upper right corner - but can't seem to solve this problem.

    I am trying to create a reusable eye for the animation of several characters. I have 3 layers at the top down:

    1. an oval (white of the eye)

    2. a black circle (the student)

    3. a larger black oval contour (shape of the eye)

    I duplicated the layer 1 and placed in layer 3 and cannot get to the student to make when it moves from one side or the other is not visible if it moves outside the 'form of eye."

    Can someone tell me how to "make this form, hide the pupil underneath? Thank you very much!

    BTW - one of the many ways I've tried - was to make a solid layer and try to stick this oval "shape of mask" in / on this solid layer. But I could not do this work.

    And I can do this using the shape tool layer - but my goal is to use the form to HAVE it. Thank you very much!

    YouTube search often increase... poor quality tutorials. Type in what you are interested in the topic in the search in the help of EI field will make you better. Here is a portion of the document helps. However, given that you're new to AE, I have somewhere, you should probably start first. It is this link. AE is very unlike other applications, in order to get a solid base in the AE works is the key to success.

  • drawing on bitmap graphics using utf-16 text

    Hello

    I'm getting various text different encoding as utf-16, utf-16BE, utf-8 text encoding. I need to draw the same on the bitmap using graphics.

    The following example for UTF16 received string

    Byte [] utf16bytes = utf16Char.getBytes ();

    tmp = utif16bytes byte [0];

    utif16bytes [0] = utif16bytes [1];

    utif16bytes [1] = tmp;

    DrawStr string = new String (utif16bytes, "UTF-16BE");

    g.drawText (drawStr, 10, 100);

    However this resulted in unwanted values are drawn.

    Thanks for the info. My problem was in fact I've even received not the unicode value correctly. I was short a step to receive unicode value full for this character.

    As you know, the fonts still have the mapping for the code & unicode for each characters. After I am able to navigate to the police for this table, I am able to extract the correct unicode and the same impression.

  • Help to use the shape in combination...?

    Hello: Level: Newbie'ish OS: Windows 7 64 bit PS: Cs6

    I'm trying to follow a tut. Here's the problem I'm having.

    I drew a triangle with the pen tool and then modified cone shaped. I'm trying to do a construction cone.

    So, so far, I have the basis and form of cone, but now I need to add the reflective strips.

    I drew on an Ellipse from one edge of the cone to the other edge > and then I draw a Rectangle defined for cartel which extends beyond the edges of the cone and covers the lower half of the ellipse > then I draw another Ellipse, subtract the value

    But when I change the color of the second ellipse (of a light gray) the top ellipse and the rectangle change to light gray, but I need for the rectangle and the lower ellipse to be gray.

    Here is the picture of what I am trying to accomplish. As I said above my colors come out in front and no matter what combinations I tried, I was unable to reach the result in the image below.

    orange_cone_icon_09.gif

    Anyone have any ideas of what I could do wrong? (Or in fact, which the UTU was wrong). I'm very grateful for any help you may offer.

    Thank you

    Hi Kar209,

    Although there are several ways to do this in photoshop cs6, if you want the shapes to form a single layer, you

    It may be easier to first add the background ellipse and the rectangle, and then press Alt to subtract the top ellipse

    Since the other two forms (paths).

  • How to use table 2 to draw an XY graph

    Hello ~

    I use for loop to teststand2014 to get 2 arraies with the same indicator loop as an attachment (Vi_array = input voltage, output power = Po_array).

    How can I build a XY Chart with these 2 arraies, Vi_array x and Po_array as Y?

    Thank you!

    You can create a table to 2 dimensions on the 2 tables, you mentioned and use the attributess of 'DataLayout' and 'DataOrientation' for the new table that you have generated. Please check attached sequence file created using TestStand 2010 version of how it can be done. I tested the graphics in XML reports.

  • How to remove the part of an object grouped several using a shape (Pathfinder does not work, cannot get the knockout groups to work)? Kind of like the opposite of a clipping mask.

    I want to remove the portion of these legs inside of this graph, because a white circle solid at the Center intensifies the effect of the spiral.

    Emmanuel,

    If I (put) correctly, you should be able to get the opacity mask to work as follows:

    Select (only) the White path and the mixture and then in the transparency palette flyout on create with unchecked Clip opacity mask and mask invert checked.

    Who must hide the inner part of the mixture corresponding to the white circle and let the front remains visible oin the background (circle and all that.)
